Club Del Mar is located on a private, peaceful, and beautiful location at the end of playa jaco, closest to playa hermosa. It is away from the busy end of playa jaco town . The food at the restaurant was excellent and the people working at the hotel were so friendly and kind. The apartment we stayed in had a gorgeous garden and ocean view and it was very spacious and clean. We were walking distance to El Miro,a great hiking trail, and walking distance to surf rentals and other restaurants. The pool is wonderful and we saw iguanas, macaws, and a raccoon. We surfed and swam right at the beach in front of the hotel. I highly recommend the restaurant at the hotel, the food is excellent and reasonably priced and the people working at the hotel are so helpful and hard working.

It is a lovely property. Small boutique style hotel on the very south edge of Jaco beach. The beds were very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The property is right on the beach with a small public lawn between the hotel and the beach. Beautiful view from the restaurant, pool and rooms. And fairly close to many attractions and activities - tours, hikes, waterfalls, etc.

The food and drinks were a bit pricey. There were not any other options nearby without either walking about a mile on the beach into town, or driving.

We loved everything about our stay! The location was perfect; on the south end of Jaco and an easy drive to visit Manuel Antonio National Park. Our two bed/two bath condo on the beach was wonderful. The condo was clean and furnished beautifully. The free breakfast was so good and and the lunch and dinner menus had great variety. We ate all of our meals there and the four of us enjoyed every dish. The best part about Club del Mar was the friendly, helpful staff. From reception, to management, to the pool bar and the restaurant everyone made us feel welcome and pampered. The restaurant servers were the best. We didn't want to leave! I can't think of anything we didn't like about our stay!

It was in a lovely spot at the end of the beach. The sunsets were exceptional every night. The staff were excellent. It had a nice personal touch. The inclusive breakfast was very good, nice menu, plenty to eat and drink and waiter service. Our room was very spacious, as was the bathroom with lovely views over the pool and beach. Very pretty. The pool bar was very nice at lunchtime too.

Everything closed down very early, the bar was always shut by 10 pm. There wasn’t any atmosphere in the evenings.

Great pool and beachfront areas. Spacious room. Good breakfast. Very close to El Mirador walk. Not too far to walk into town.

Unlike all hotels we have stayed in that have a coffee maker, Club del Mar does not supply any tea or coffee in your room. Surprising for a hotel at this level to neglect this. Coffee is available in the lobby but providing in the room should be a given in todays world Some truck noise from the road and hill behind the resort.

Club del Mar is probably the best hotel in the whole of Jacó: it consists of a series of pavilions, surrounded by manicured lawns and all connected to the main reception building. Our bedroom was huge, more a small apartment than a room, well-appointed and designed to make you feel as comfortable as possible while enjoying the beach, the swimming pool and all the attractions in and around Jacó. Breakfast was abundant, and we also had several meals at the restaurant, where prices are surprisingly reasonable and the service always very good. In fact, service is one of the main reasons to stay at this hotel, and especially the wonderful Vidal, who is a well of knowledge about the flora and fauna of Costa Rica and definitely one of the kindest people we met in this wonderful and welcoming country.

We really could not find fault with anything. The only suggestion we would make is that information about excursions and other activities be displayed more visibly at the reception, as I am sure some people hesitate to ask (we did ask however, and were treated to a great snorkelling trip).

We stayed in a two bedroom ocean view condo and it was spacious, modern and comfortable. The pool is a nice temperature and large, the food is very good, and the staff are friendly and professional. The breakfast was amazing. We loved the location, right on the beach. Everything you need is at the hotel

We loved everything about this hotel. If you wanted to eat out at other restaurants or go for groceries, it's a 20 min walk to the downtown Jaco area.

The grounds and pool are beautiful and well kept. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great. Lots of choices and good Costa Rican coffee. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner as well. Liked the fact they have security patrolling the the grounds at night and a guarded gate at the entrance. The front desk can book you a tour easily at a fair price. Can walk right off the grounds onto the beach to surf or swim. Lots of beach bars/ restaurants in walking distance. El Point is not to be missed. Great sunsets!

Only downside is the highway goes right past the front gate and the truckers use their air brakes as they come down the hill. It can be jarring, but the traffic quiets down in the evening. Perhaps the city could put up a sign asking trucks not to air brake in a residential area like we do in the US. Just a heads up, all beaches are public in Costa Rica and on the weekends there will be lots of people enjoying the day picnicking, playing big speakers, playing soccer, surfing, swimming, etc. Weekdays are much more quiet. Just a handful of people around.

We had a two bedroom, two bathroom unit. It is very clean, we had all the amenities needed in the kitchen, but the food was really good at the restaurant that we didn’t need to cook. Loved the washer/dryer in the unit. The grounds are well maintained and the staff were very friendly; Julio and David at the front desk to Marvin, Olman, William, Oscar, and Jose in the restaurant/pool bar. They are excellent and ensure for the best experience.

We loved this place, tranquility at the end of the beach in Jaco. The gardens are delightful and lovingly cared for by Vidal. The apartment (7) was divine. There is noise from the road but it didn't bother us at all. The pool is great, the beach location just perfect. Tommy the manager is omnipresent and always looking to make sure that guests are happy. Would highly recommend.
