Courtyard by Marriott San Jose Escazu

The hotel has just been completely redone. Wider lobby, big eating area and outdoor sitting. The breakfast offering was varied and excellent. The bedroom was a nice size with a very comfortable bed; britt coffee machine in room very good coffee.nice bathroom. I had a balcony and were able to open the glass door for sun and air. the location for what I had to do was perfect. The highway is close by but could not hear it when glass door was closed.The staff is very pleasant and efficient.

The hotel was not completely finished. I booked it instead of another one, besides the location because of the gym. But is was not finished and I would have had to take a ride (provided by the hotel) to a sister property to exercise. Although i appreciate the effort It was not very convenient. But that comment might be obsolete by now. Coffee machine is a little odd to operate/refill water due to its location on a pullout shelve that does not pull out enough. My room was very clean and comfortable but all dark cold grey tones no warmth. A few touch of colors would be great.

The room was very nice, clean and big. The bathroom was aspecially nice and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and service minded. The breakfast was good. I stayed here because it is close to the shopping center Multiplaza to do my christmas shopping before flying home to Sweden. Multiplaza was in walking distance, however there's no side walk and you have to walk under a bridge, so I did not feel comfortable walking there after dark. All in all, I enjoyed my stay.

The AC in the room was loud, however the room wasn't warm so I could just turn it off. I ordered a ceasar salad at the restaurant, and the lettuce was not fresh at all so I didn't eat it.

Only stayed one night. It seemed very new and modern, or at least renovated. Our room (suite) had a small balcony with table and chairs, modern coffee machine with pods, and an adjacent room with kitchen counter and a large living room where my older daughter stayed.

When I booked the room (and even sent a message in advance to make sure) I expected a sofa bed in the adjacent seating room area, but it's just a large sofa. So we had to request a extra bed for my daughter (young adult)

The breakfast was so nice, yummy and with lots of variety. Being vegeterian i never felt that i have less options. And i like the traditional beans rice, it was exceptional. Staff is friendly, approachable

This hotel is SO NICE. It's honestly one of the nicest courtyard Marriotts I've stayed in in the world. My room was spacious and the bathroom was really cute. I had dinner and drinks at the on-site restaurant as well, and it was pretty decent. I stayed here for one night before my flight out and I loved my stay. Front desk was also 10/10.

The facilities are basic. For e.g. they only have one head shower, No handheld shower, and the shower screens don’t close well, so the bathroom gets wet.

property was enjoyable. clean with an excellent breakfast.

The only issue I had was that I booked from Booking.com and the all in price was USD 135 with breakfast included. They charged me that on a paper invoice but then sent an updated invoice for USD 175 and charged for the breakfast.

Close to some restaurants and a small shopping center

The toilet room didn't close completely but rather than that was good ..

The exceptional attention to detail from the Ops Manager, Mr. Hugo when I had trouble with my reservation. The rooms and the common adeas are exquisite. Thank you!

Maybe, more service at night in the sitting area to order food and drinks - maybe more servers?

The staff was super friendly and kind. Rooms were big and cozy modern. Location was awesome. We loved it.
