The location. It was very convenient to everything we wanted to do. The pool was very clean and enjoyable! We love balconies and this one overlooking the pool was perfect!

Outside by the outside kitchen area, the tiles/brick were broken in several areas making it harder to walk around. I wish we had enough towels - 1 hand towel for 2 people, large bath towels would have been good and the towels we got were dingy and old. It was pretty loud at night but knew that going in because of the corner, in town location, but wanted to go there anyway and glad we did!

awesome security. We really liked that there’s a watchman on the property to keep and eye out on the cars throughout the entire night. The hotel is in a town with a very busy nightlife,drinking tourists, etc. So we were able to rest assured nobody would break into our cars in the hotel parking lot. The watchman still looked over tenants cars even if they were parked right in front of the hotel if lot inside is full. Pool and hotel are very clean and nice. Owner (didn’t get her name) is so kind. Staff is friendly.

there’s a adjacent building behind the hotel that can get a little noisy. It didn’t last too long but hotel is in a popular area that’s frequented with lively drinkers and music etc.

Hotel was clean, with a nice pool, and in a great location in the heart of tamarindo and just across from the beach. Water available for guests as well as an outdoor kitchen, and nice balconies with space to sit and dry your items. Cleaning and maintenance staff were fantastic.

Some stains on sheets, pillows need to be replaced. Walls are very 'thin', so i would recommend bringing earplugs - however there are no clubs or bars immediately next to the hotel so no need to worry specifically about late night music.

On a personal note, it turned out that this was (unwittingly) the same hotel that we stayed at 20 years ago. It still had all of the charm and beauty that it had back then, though it has been somewhat refreshed. Pool was excellent, especially for those with some walking difficulties. Easy to get in an get out. Nice balcony and very good air conditioning, and hot water shower. Fondly remember all of the beautifully carved doors. Staff was extremely helpful. Could not have been more centrally located. Overall, very pleased with the stay.

Being centrally located does have a drawback if you are a light sleeper. Tamarindo is a tourist site and the bar scene goes on until about 2 AM and ends with a bang LOL Also one caution (and this goes for just about anywhere in Costa Rica). Beware the highly glazed tile floors in the bathroom. Extremely slippery when wet.

This was a perfect stay. I booked 2 nights but because of a cancelled flight I arrived a day late. The hotel kindly cancelled the first night at no charge. After a long travel day I arrived 2 hours early for check in but was able to access my room. The room was very clean with a large balcony. I recommend staying here!

Only issue I noticed was the beach chairs were worn out. One of the lounge chairs has very ripped fabric on the seat so it’s not safe to use.

We arrived at 1am in the morning but there was still a security guard there that let us in and showed us our room. Private parking for our van. We got a deluxe room and it was beautiful. The pictures on Booking didn't do it justice. Clean, with microwave, coffee maker(you have to bring everything for it, but I'm not a coffee drinker so I didn't care), and fridge. A king size bed that was very comfortable. The balcony looked over the pool, and the trees around the balcony give it such a pleasing view plus even with the slide doors open, it still felt private in the room. Except for the little fridge of drinks you can buy at the Checkin counter, there's no food options inside the hotel but the restaurants are right outside the hotel. There's the Waffle Monkey two minutes from the hotel that's great for breakfast. Big portions and you watch the waves on the beach while they fix your food. So the beach is only two minutes away. And there's a great shower right there by the pool you can use and not have to worry about getting sand in your room. And the pool was awesome. The little round pool isn't a jacuzzi. It's a great kiddie pool that my 1yr old son loved. All in all great place for me, my husband, 1yr old son and 7mo old son. Definitely want to come again.

Bathrooms are average but that doesn't matter to me. Looking at the other reviews, I also think it's all in the room you get. We were with a couple who stayed in a standard double room that wasn't as fancy as ours and they didn't like as much but it was less money. It was still clean and everything worked, and the room went right out to the pool area. So it's all in the room you get here and what you need. If you know you're going to be busy and only use the room to sleep and clean up, go with a cheaper one but if you want a great experience in the room, the deluxe double room with a balcony are amazing!

2 minutes from the beach, in the middle of everything. Big rooms, WiFi working well, I appreciated the fridge and the coffee machine. Having a terrace was also very nice. Thanks to Andreina at the reception who was very kind and helped me organise my trips to and from Tamarindo.

Central means central. The hotel is situated on two main streets - one with lots of bars and the other with quite heavy traffic. So in the evenings/mornings it gets pretty noisy. If you are a light sleeper you might wish to bring along some earplugs...

location is outstanding. Directly across from the beach. You can walk the entire town very easily. The pool looked great although we didn’t use it. The staff is exceptional and incredibly helpful.

The walls are paper thin so you can clearly hear every conversation in the rooms m either side of you. Plus Tamarindo is a party town so, don’t book this place if you’re looking for some peace and quiet.

nice room with beautiful pool in garden setting. across road from Dental Clinic I had appointments with. across from beach. very clean, efficient housekeeping. well located for grocery stores, restaurants, shops, outside fruit and other food stands. staff helpful to arrange transportation to and from airport and for a health personnel from doctor office to come to the hotel to give me the required Covid antigen test required within 24 hours of my departure from Costa Rica. Property gates are locked at night with a night guard on duty. I felt very safe in the neighborhood.

the AC was either too cold ( 1st few nights) or too hot, working very little if at all ( last few nights). the desk clerk who arranged my transportation to and from airport and hotel and the Covid test apparently kept $10 for herself for each transaction without asking me in advance when she told me the charge and refused to refund, she said she kept it for herself.

The hotel is located right in the center of Tamarindo so it is super easy to get to the beach and to restaurants without using the car. The room was comfortable and the TV has access to the internet and apps such as YouTube and Netflix. The hotel has a really nice pool and an outdoor kitchen that can be used.

From our booking information we thought we would be getting a room in the upper floor but we were given a room on the ground floor, it is still not clear for us the difference between the standard and the deluxe room, we felt as if we paid extra for nothing. Regarding the room, the shower is really low (~1.80m) and there is no shelves to put your shampoo, soap, etc or hangers for the towels and beachwear. The parking space is really small and we were always afraid that there would not be a spot for our car but overall it worked.
