The room is good, clean, comfort, the location is good, the breakfast is not bad, not really rich especially for contintental and International, the Oriental side needs to be developped, the staff at the reception, and room service, and cleaning room are fantasctic exept the staf of breakfast, they re ruse, slow, and some do not hesitate to harrasse the women clients. They must be careful.

The staff at breakfast time at the restaurant, they are slow, and rude. At the Oriental breakfast restaurant some named Abdelghani Rami is really rude, and has to pay attention, and stop harassing, because of him,I stopped going to the breakfast time to avoid him.

1) long established hotel with a business feel. The staff were excellent; professional, attentive and eager to please. 2) nice, relatively quiet residential location yet only two Metro stops to Tahrir square and the Egyptian museum. 3) huge bed. 4) excellent buffet breakfast in nice surroundings.

1) we couldn't get the air-conditioning to make the room warmer. 2) not a place to eat an evening meal - no atmosphere. 3) at breakfast the junior staff were over enthusiastic about clearing away plates and not enthusiastic enough to offer more cups of tea and coffee.

Very clean and welcoming hotel. The staff is absolutely fantastic; very professional and friendly people; every single employee of the hotel is always available to answer our needs and makes us feel as belonging to a happy family - at reception: Ms. Christeen, Mr. Yahia - night manager, Mr. Hatem, Mr. Mohamed and all the other colleagues we interacted with. Great Breakfast and Dinner which consists in tasty cold and hot buffets, large variety of food we don't really have to complain about. The atmosphere is very calm and pleasant and Ms Hala and the whole team is there to assist. We were satisfied with the dinner by the pool, too, accompanied by relaxing live music. The vigilant Security team (incl. Mr. Mahmoud) is there to ensure a smooth entrance and exit to/from the hotel. Cleaning lady/man do their job properly, considering our requests. The doorman happily helped with our luggage. Mr. Samir from the Gift Shop in the lobby added more flavour to our stay. Pay a visit, say "hi" and choose a souvenir! :) Excellent WiFi in the hotel, excellent Vodafone data Sim bought from the airport (26 GB and 200 local min. for 351 egyptian pounds /10 eur). Even though not in the core downtown (we didn't want to stay there), the location of Safir Hotel is excellent. Nice quiet and safe surroundings of the hotel (even late at night), walking distance to some small shops (eg. Seoudi supermarket, Tete-a-Tete, Metro), Pizza Hut, McDonald's, and ATM's for cash exchange). We choosed Uber to move around (very affordable and good service) and also the Metro (Dokki station, easy, fast and saving time in traffic - if your direction allows and if you are not too fussy). Congratulations and Many Thanks to Safir Hotel team!

Everything was great. No complaints.

Breakfast buffet had a huge range of choices. Very good variety and freshness. Pool was fabulous see photos. Great coffee shop at street level of the hotel. Staff were very helpful particularly Mohey and Abdulla. Mohey kindly extended our checkout as our flight was late afternoon which was a huge bonus for us.

Cairo doesn’t seem to have a central area and where the hotel is had a pharmacy, a small shop but I couldn’t see any restaurants for dinner if you didn’t want the buffet. Buffet dinner was good value but after a few days can feel like a change. This isn’t the hotel’s fault and it may be mine because I didn’t investigate enough.

A good place to stay in the center of Cairo. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to stay close to the city center. Many shops and restaurants around. The hotel is safe and comfortable, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is great.

There are just two things I would suggest to improve: The first one is the security check at the entrance. It is annoying. I understand the need to ensure safety, but everybody knows that this security check doesn't make any sense. The second thing is cleanliness of the rooms. I mean... This is not the cheapest hotel in Cairo and it has four stars. Everything is kind of OK, but the staff should take more care of cleaning the furniture inside the room, and especially the bathroom. The fact, that I had to buy cleaning wipes after arrival and clean the table and other surfaces by myself, because it looked like nobody touched them for ages, made me feel very uncomfortable, not mentioning the smell of cigarette smoke inside the room after arrival.

Overall I had a very good experience. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom had all the necessary amenities. Special mention to the F&B team, who sent a small cake to my room when they were informed this was my birthday trip. Also, when I called to request a teabag, they sent me a fruit plate and some sweets as well. Very nice gestures.

The structure is a bit dated, it would have been a luxury hotel in the 90s, but now it definitely needs renovation. The air conditioning in the room is very loud, I had to turn it off to be able to sleep.

People are kind and nice. My room was very clean every time I got back from outside. The building is not new but overall it was clean and neat. The neighborhood was peaceful. There were some of fast food shops around and very convenient when you are too tired to officially dine out from the activities during the day.

Our bathtub’s drain was stuck for the first 2 nights though every day there was a cleaning person. I thought it may be a default of the country at first but it was very inconvenient so asked if it would be fixed. They sent us a plumper and he fixed that in 5minutes. Ideally this should have been taken care of before anyone’s stay without the guests claiming it. The hotel is located crossed from the Nile river so if you go out after evening time, you have to expect more than 30 minutes car ride from downtown to get back to the hotel as the traffic is terrible around that time.

The hotel staff are lovely; Mohey provided excellent in customer service especially when arriving at 3am needing a room after Hilton Rameses Hotel was very disappointing. His smile and calming energy made us feel relaxed and in good hands. The entire staff helped us with all our needs and are very flexible. Cleaning is great, the hotel view from our room was not the best as it was facing the pool but it didn't matter as we were out most of the time. The lobby area with that beautiful piano is lovely! Please add a piano chair so I can play it comfortably next time The hotel doctor was very good, the food was excellent.. The overall experience was amazing on both stays with this place. It has 24/7 reception and check in. Central based in Dokki - Cairo, easy to get around with a Uber taxi.

The buffet was costly for what It had to offer. Their soup was delicious!

When we arrived early in the morning on our first day, we were met by such nice staff! They told us they'd upgraded our room as well: very big room with all the facilities listed. The breakfast was amazing! The location is perfect. Cairo is a city where you are almost dependent on uber/taxi to get around, so Safir has the perfect location. The rooms are also very clean. Sara, the housekeeper, is a very lovely lady! I can definitely recommend this hotel!

The pool was also very nice, but only sun for 3-4 hours a day, but I guess that is just how it is in a city with tall buildings:)
