Everything was amazing, very good option, they gave me a free upgrade, I arrived late but the person who received gave me all the recommendations and insights about Cairo. I tried the oriental breakfast it was the first time I tried a different breakfast and it was good and a very big portion half of the breakfast it was eaten looking at the pyramids. The last day they keep my luggage safe until I got back the hostal. I had a really good conversation with one of the workers about books and how to became a Better person. I finally remembered the name of the book is Miracle morning i definitely would stay again

We really enjoyed our two stays at Tahrhir Plaza. It is an awesome boutique hotel located in the second floor of a historic building, which caused a little confusion when we first arrived (there's no sign at street level). But 'historic building' also translates to rooms that are somewhere between 4 or 5 meters high, which is just grand. Everything was super clean, and very nicely decorated, and the staff young, friendly and always helpful.

It's not a negative, just a fact that one can recognize from looking at the map: as a New Yorker, you won't need to bring your own mix-tape of street noise to put you to sleep.

Great location with a view of the Cairo Museum; the room had a small balcony, which we appreciated. The room is very spacious and newly decorated on the 5th floor (I believe we were the first guests to stay there). The bed and pillows are soft and comfortable. Do not get discouraged by the stairs; the rooms are great.

Noise is a constant in Cairo, as the city never sleeps. It's prevalent both during the day and night, but it's not the hotel's fault. I recommend using earplugs. The hall and stairs could benefit from a bit of cleaning. However, I understand that these spaces are shared and may not be solely the responsibility of the hotel to keep clean. The sink is too small.

The hotel had just acquired the top floor of the building, so we had a gorgeous view looking right out at the Egyptian Museum. The hotel is right in the center of the downtown. It's busy and active, but you really get a feel for what it's like to be in Cairo. And each of the rooms is named after an Egyptian god, which is adorable. We were in the Geb room.

It might be a little noisy for some, especially if you leave the windows open, just because you're in the middle of the action. But we were able to walk a lot of places. Like a lot of hotels in Cairo, the signage is sometimes hard to see, and the hotels are on the upper floors, which can take some getting used to for westerners.

This is where you want to be when in Egypt. The interiors just soaks you into the egyptian culture and heritage the moment you entee into the room. Get the feel of cairo city with a cup of tea in the balcony. The rooms are spacious with tall celings giving a feel of larger than size room. The staff is courteous and goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and guides you to hidden treasures in cairo city. It was my daughter birthday and they surprised her with secret decoration and cake in the room. It made it special for all of us for lifetime. We certainly recommend and will come back again.

Directly across from the Egyptian Museum was great. Very busy area. La Pouche cafe was amazing and just 200 m down the road. The room has beautiful high ceilings, a chandelier and king sized bed. I e had everything we needed including good air con. The staff went over and beyond and spoke English well. We decided to book our tours through them and it was reasonably priced. Just out of the building to the right there is a guy with a small street stall selling soft drinks for 7 Egyptian pound. Everywhere else around is 15/20. We also organised a lift from the airport which was $15USD for ease of getting there after a long flight but other than that, UBER is super cheap. Some 15 minute rides were around $1.30 AUD. I don’t think you need a guide and driver to the pyramids. Uber was about $7.50 AUD. Entry fee is by card only and the price for camels and horses is set at 500 pounds per foreigner for one hour. I ate the street food around the hotel and it was delicious. I didn’t get sick but my daughter did. We were able to leave our bags there until it was time to go to the train at 8pm. We felt safe.

Excellent location and very friendly and helpful staf! We booked three tours (Giza, Saqqara, Memphis & Dahshur; the dinner on the Nile cruise and the Old city): all three were amazing and absolutely good value for money. The guides really know their field! As breakfast you can choose between continental and oriental. We always took continental and it was tasty. I absolutely recommend this hotel and the tours!

The rooms aren´t soundproof but I slept with earplugs and then it was quite fine. A safe would have been nice as well.

Apart from the lovely themed rooms (ours was Isis) the staff @ Tahrir Suites are so helpful, it makes a difference to your stay.....Marcelino was exceptional :) He even organised food to be delivered for dinner from Kazaz when we couldn't sort out the language problem @ the restaurant. Our bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of hot water, the included breakfast was tasty and we enjoyed having it in our room. We appreciated the airport transfers both ways that were reasonably priced. All in all a great place to stay if you want to be in downtown Cairo opposite the museum.....and yes, still worth a third visit as GEM has not opened....yet!

The sound of the traffic can be overwhelming if you're not used to it but the earplugs I bought specially worked a treat......traffic.....what traffic?!! Had a great sleep in the comfortable bed.

It was like going to my home everything was so perfect from the staff to how the check in went smoothly to the rooms and finally breakfast. and the most recognizable was how they treat the guest as they love their work. everything inside was so clean and bright. it was true like other reviews that the hotel is on the second floor of an old building, but they apologize as it's a government building and they are trying their best to make it more bright and it actually worked everything look and smell clean. thank you for making my stay the best.

Located across the road from the Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo it is a good base. The rooms are themed and based on a particular Egyptian god. The staff were accommodating and allowed us to use facilities before checkin as we arrived early morning off the overnight train. Beds were comfy.

It's hard to find as it's on level 2 of a multi level building which has a number of businesses house there. There isn't any signage visible, but a local shop owner directed us. I opened the curtains in the Hathor room and found a hole from a stone being thrown at it. Needs to be fixed.
