Mohamed was incredible. Greatly appreciated his honesty. He and his family are lovely. His mother cleans clothes for 15 Egyptian pounds per item which at the time of this writing was a little less than 50 cents which is a great deal. She also does an incredible job, cleaning my youngest daughter's coat which I thought was irretrievably stained. To save a ton of money, I would have been better off just coming to Life Pyramids and then booking everything through Mohamed. One thing to know about Egypt is that all the tours are basically the same. Only difference is private vs huge group. They hit all the same spots and basically say all the same things.
Giza is not the best neighborhood. Lots of pushy sellers. But it is very close to the pyramids and I'm very glad I didn't waste money on the light show since it was not that good and we could see it from the roof.

Fantastic hotel, made even better by the hospitality of the owner Mr Mohamed and his family - location top notch: the view of pyramids from the hotel rooftop every morning at breakfast is amazing - hotel and room has everything you need - very comfortable What makes the difference is the owner Mr Mohamed and his family - who go out of their way to help you and make you feel at home. He helped me get a car-driver at last minute at a very good price, helped with helpful tips on each of the key sights, restaurant recommendations etc etc The free water bottles throughout your stay is always welcome.

The room is rather modern and well-maintained. I don't know why some reviews mentioned dirty bedsheets. Everything in my room was super clean. The owner was very friendly throughout. He also wasn't interested in selling additional tours to me, which I appreciate. Everybody at the hostel was extra helpful. When I had to leave early the next day, the hostel prepared a breakfast package for me at 6:45 am. The location is great with a good view of the pyramids.
The only minus was how there might be a bit of noise if your room is situated along the corridor of the multi-story house. There was no noise from the outside though.

The staff were very helpful. Message them a day or so before you arrive to arrange an airport taxi with no hassle. They will also help you with tours. The young women serving breakfast and cleaning are charming. Beds were comfortable and clean. We had a pyramid view from our room and you can see them from the rooftop lounge. You can see and hear the sight and sound show from the rooftop lounge. Location is good and very close to one of the entrances to the Pyramids. Yes, you can smell the camel and horses when outside the hotel but you will get that anywhere in this neighborhood. It is very easy to find a taxi to go to the new GEM museum or Cairo museum or ask staff to book one for you.

Excellent option for staying really close to the pyramids, even if it is not in the first line, the views are amazing. Having breakfast or just chilling in the evening at the terrace, is incredible and a must for once in a lifetime. The personnel is really caring, they allowed be to check in a bit earlier as my flight arrived in the morning, and also there was always free water available to ask for.
Maybe just the area of Giza, after dark when the pyramids close, there is only a street with restaurants and lots of shops, but the rest of the streets are really dark and not very much meant for taking a walk.

very well located close to one of the entrances to the pyramids. - run by a family who was very kind and spoke good English. - our room was small but enough for us. The beds were comfortable and we had no issues with anything. - there are restaurants and shops nearby but just note that they are mostly for tourists. If you want to head into the city then just take Uber. - the rooftop has a great view of the pyramids and it's a great place to have breakfast or just to hangout. - the family prepared breakfast for us to takeaway before our early morning flight.

Located across from the Pyramids and Sphinx with great views. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy but the hotel's rooftop terrace was a nice place to pass the time for one night stay after visiting the Pyramids. Breakfast was served by several kind young ladies and was ok. Unfortunately dinner ordered from off premises took an hour to arrive and was very overcooked and cold. Bed sheets and towels are a bit dingy and tired looking. Reasonably quiet, very nicely decorated family establishment and Mohammed and Sam were very hospitable and kind hosts.
The neighborhood was not conducive to females going out to eat or shop.

This was perfect for us. travelled from London with my wife and mum as an Eid present to them both. We booked all of our transfers and excursion with the hotel directly and it was perfect. We had an airport transfer to and from the airport and had the same driver and tour guide for all our activities. Via the hotel we booked: 1. Pyramids tour 2. Cairo city tour 3. Souk tour 4. Buggy/quad bike sunset tour 5. Alexandria tour We were constantly messaged during our activities to make sure we were satisfied and always offered cold water The hotel had a simple breakfast and was served on time and had a perfect view of the pyramids. I would like to thank Mohammed and his family for being so gracious and being excellent hosts. I highly recommend for anyone travelling from London who wants reassurance to feel safe and stay in a great location
WiFi was slow but I bought an e sim so just swapped back and fourth

Our second stay was as good as the first. Good-sized room with views across to Sphinx and Pyramids, efficient air conditioning, and bottled water supplied on demand. The owner/manager, Mohammed, makes every effort to arrange tours and taxis so that everything runs smoothly. This is always reassuring in a hectic country like Egypt. He is totally reliable. Support staff are friendly and kind. This is a no frills hotel but enjoys a quiet location with shops and restaurants close by. Being on the edge of the Pyramids it is a busy area, with working camels, carriages, horses omnipresent, but this merely adds to the authenticity and flavour of the locality. What a privilege to be so close to the mysteries of the ancient world
Breakfast choices could perhaps be developed a little more, but not a major issue.

The location is perfect - quiet but with great views of Pyramids and Sphinx. Mohamed, owner and manager, is fantastically reliable and conscientious. He made sure all our tours, taxis, requests were attended to efficiently. I can't say how important this is in a complex society like Egypt. Our room had a Pyramid view - what a privilege to wake to view one of the wonders of the ancient world from your window! Air conditioning was effective and our room was a good size. Staff were charming and polite
Perhaps the breakfasts could have been more varied with greater choice, and the lack of a functioning rooftop restaurant was a pity, but not a problem as there are several restaurant options within 100 metres
