The view from the restaurant was amazing

The additional fees to the price was significant. The price you think are paying changes and by the time you get to the hotel you have no choice to pay it. Booking.com should sort this as its false advertising.

First of all, the property is one of the few in the area that could be named hotel and this detail is a good thing for Marvel. Otherwise, in the neighbourhood most of the properties you find are "guesthouses" and you must know that over there the conditions are a lot beyond you are used with in your country and you are expecting from an accommodation. When we first arrive to Giza area, we had another accommodation already booked from back home, but when we saw the poor conditions in the guesthouse, especially dirty sheets and dirty room, we immediately moved to Marvel Hotel and here everything was a lot better.(We were very lucky to find 2 rooms). So, the rooms were big enough, simple and nice decorated, very clean, the smell inside the room was good and nothing comparing with the smell outside, which was of horses and camels, considering that in the neighbourhood are many stables, with everything you need and expect from a place named hotel. Beds were comfortable, hot water all the time(usually, I do not mention this about accommodation, but you will be very surprised to find out that in many places in the area, this "hot water" thing it is not provided as you were expecting). We did not find a room with pyramids view, but it is good to know that Marvel Hotel has at the 5th floor one of the best terraces in the area from where you can watch day and night the pyramids and the Sphinx, and the view it is really wow! On that terrace you can also eat breakfast and drink a beer during the night. The staff was very nice and supportive, they tried always to help with everything and make us feel as good as possible. If I would come back to Giza are, Marvel Hotel would be for sure my choice again!

Breakfast was not so diverse and tasty, but was ok and everyone of us could choose something from the plate. Also, we had a small problem with air condition in the room, meaning that was not configured to bring warm and hot air, but cold air. We needed to use the air condition in the room because in the period of time when we visited the Pyramids and Sphinx(first decade of February), we were unlucky and the weather was a little bit windy and colder than usually, which made the temperature during the night time around 8-10 degrees in the room. The good thing, though, is that during summer, when the temperature is hot in Egypt, you know and will be sure that you can rely on the air condition system in the room :-)

Great view of the pyramids. Best breakfast. And really great driver Abdo Saad I recommend asking for him specifically, he picked us up from the airport and bought us this sugar cane and lemon drinks, and stopped on a bridge that crosses the Nile for photos, without us asking him and the next day more of the same , he would randomly stop and buy us snacks without expecting anything in return . He is a real asset and makes traveling in Cairo a pleasure

This is definitely a hotel worth considering. There will definitely be fancier hotels around but the location and the staff more than make up for it. The staff were exceptional. I was a little unsure on a couple of things but the hotel manger Osama and his staff took care of everything from changing currency to getting tickets for pyramids and other excursions as well as Nile cruises etc. If you want a hassle free stay at the foot of the pyramids you can’t go far wrong with this hotel.

This Hotel is all about the location. Make sure you book the room with a view of the Pyramids, it is incredible. The rooftop also has great views of the pyramids. The room was very big too.

Giza is a bit of a squalid place. So expect the smell of horse and camel excrement as soon as you step out the Hotel. You'll also be swarmed by hustlers offering you all manner of things. It will be a pain, but the overall view of the Pyramids is what you pay for. Also if you exchange currency at the Hotel, be careful. The guy at the front counter gave me 1000 pounds less. I suspected he knew and when I challenged it, he paid the remaining. The room itself is not overly great. The toilet was dark and dingy.

Amazing little hotel with probably the best view of the Pyramids in the whole of Giza! The rooftop Terrace is unbelievable for photos, you could watch and probably hear the light and sound show without having to pay! Staff were super helpful , changed money at a good rate and booked our tours to the pyramids and the museums and other places over 2 days. The Guide they arranged was the highlight of the trip , very informative and knew his stuff. Rooms were modern and clean and the pyramid view rooms are worth it! Breakfast was superb with lots of choice and served up on the terrace if you wanted, food from the restaurant was excellent and priced well! Would happily stay again if we went back!

A few little areas of maintenance needed on the stairs up to the rooftop and in the bathroom but for the price it was minor issues!

Incredible location and view from the restaurant which was exactly what I wanted. The location is just supreme. Loved the camels and horses parked outside even though bit surprising. Great value for money, you just need to know what you’re gonna get. Food was well cooked and we had no digestive issues.

Air con didn’t work in the room half the night. Super hot. Room had 2 small windows one leading to a shaft. The bathroom was ok but no one told us to open the covers on the drain. Glad we figured that out before it flooded. Place is very dated and crumbling at the seems.

Osama the manager of the hotel was amazing and made our experience of Egypt truly unforgettable . From the moment we arrived at the hotel we was made to feel welcome and the food was amazing . Breath taking views from the hotel restaurant and roof terrace of the pyramids. On the first day Osama planned out a 5 day adventure covering hundreds of miles for the entire family which was highly organised at each destination and we managed to see all of the sights . It was truly a once in a lifetime trip all organised by Osama and the marvel stone hotel . I would highly recommend to all . Osama and the hotel deserves more than 5 stars. This hotel is really going the extra mile for its guests . Thank you Osama and the team at marvel stone , Giza

i could not think of anything to improve my experience at marvel stone hotel it was that good

Budget hotel with amazing roof top view, hotel manager arranged for us good and affordable guided trips around Cairo. Value for price is best. Arabic breakfast was good. Many options to buy food and gifts in neighborhood. If you looking for true and non-luxury Egyptian experience you would be satisfied.

It could be noisy during nigh. Camel and horse stables close to hotel (not disadvantage in all cases )

Just perfect location for visiting pyramids. This hotel (next to the entrance of pyramids) one of the tallest building has a nice view from rooftop. Restaurant has a glass wall facing Sphinx and pyramids. Our room was simple, spacious with very comfortable beds and conditioner/heater works perfect. Only one window without view, but it was not critical for us. The same time it is an advantage - very quiet, good for rest after long day of sightseeing. The room was generally clean, fresh bedlinen, enough towels. Hot water in the shower - for two persons, if there are more people, just need to wait a little bit to heat water again. This hotel is not on the main road, the street noise does not bother. Was nice to meet horses and camels around, they are the charm of this place. Breakfast was good enough ( omelette is not so good as a simply boiling eggs, amazing organic taste). We had lunch in the hotel also, very tasty cooked meat. Overall was good experience, we do recommend this hotel for short break to visit Cairo and pyramids.

Pick up from the airport did not happened, the driver never showed up. The hotel receptionist confirmed by phone that the driver is on the way to airport, it makes us wait longer. We waited an hour in night time outside of arrival area, the driver never showed up. Not nice. If the hotel can not provide transfer - better to be honest with customers. At the end of our stay it was sorted, we had free transfer back to the airport. The room was generally clean but there are hairs and sand on the floor.
