What a fabulous makeover! Loved it! I felt happy just walking into the lobby. Well appointed comfortable rooms. Wonderful shower. Well thought lighting. Loved the coffee machine in the lobby. Got my cappuccino there every morning! Location is perfect. Easy walk to campus and lots of restaurants. There's a beautiful outdoor seating area if you go out back and follow the path around the side of the building.

Valet parking is a bit pricey and it's a little challenging getting your car. I just left it there and ubered. It's an old building which I love but with that comes with thin walls...

Nice hotel in a pleasant area of LA; very walkable with plenty of shops and restaurants, and yet sufficiently far from all the hustle and bustle to be enjoyable. Coffee and croissants in the morning were a nice bonus, as was the good water pressure in the shower.

The room was barely large enough to fit a king size bed. There's almost no sound insulation from the corridor and the curtains and shower(s) are both pretty noisy, meaning you'll know exactly when your neighbors use them... Impossible to have the room completely dark on account of light from the AC, and staff were unable to print a final receipt, for some weird reason...

it’s a very cool, retro property. Good location within close walking to the Hammer Museum and the Geffen Playhouse. The included breakfast was simple (croissants, fruit and coffee/tea) but satisfying.

You pretty much have to do expensive valet parking on site as there is strict timed parking on the surrounding streets. Also, all the bars, restaurants in the immediate area close early so it was difficult to find a place to have a drink at night after seeing a play at the Geffen. It would have been nice to be able to have a beer from the room refrigerator (there is no alcohol available on-site).

I love to stay at this hotel when I'm in LA. It's a great location and feels very safe. The hotel is quaint and feels like something you'd see in Europe.

The parking can be a bit of a hassle. You either have to try to find street parking with meters or some limited non-metered, but 2 hour limited parking or you pay $50/day for valet. The rooms can vary by size. Some rooms are really large and have lots of space and others are small typical hotel rooms. It's a little hit and miss what you get.

It was very odd they had croissants available in the morning for breakfast but nothing to put on them such as butter, jam etc. nor any cutlery from memory. There was a magnificent toaster sitting in the kitchenette area but no bread to toast. There was a bowl of oranges but no knife to cut them up. The cups were disposable which for a hotel of this calibre so beautifully fitted out was odd. I guess I expected a bit more from my experience elsewhere at this same pricepoint. I was told during covid they had to close the kitchen area but we are well out of covid now. A small matter but important. Thank you for an otherwise lovely stay.

We had a great stay at the Palihotel in Westwood Los Angelos. Located right near UCLA campus and just a short drive from Santa Monica (where we spent most of our time). The staff were very friendly, the complementary nespresso machine was great and we lucked out with street parking right outside the hotel everyday. We loved that this hotel is pet friendly and brought us a dog bed and food and water bowls for our little pup. The shower was awesome and the room was super cute. Also there are a ton of good restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

The room was a bit small and tight for the two of us plus our dog.

I loved the style of the accomodation, with interesting retro pieces. Lovely and helpful staff on reception. Very simple and compact room, I liked that I could open my window rather than rely on air con… situated in a great position in a lovely part of LA..

was a bit noisy in that the walls are very thin, so could hear guests in other rooms talking, and some seemed to be moving furniture upstairs, as well as talking loudly as they walked down the corridor.. that said it did t really bother me, and slept quite well.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds! Delicious coffee maker. Would have been nice for a little room, service even light snacks and possibly the rooms a little bit bigger but I did get an upgrade which I appreciated except it meant the bed is a queen and not King and I’m tall! Other than that, I would highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel.

The Palihotel Westwood is a botique hotel in Westwood Village near UCLA. It's a refurbished 1939 hotel brought up to date with mid-century modern and Parisian design elements. I stayed one night--I flew down from San Francisco for a Birthday Dinner celebration at Wolfsglen Restaurant (aka Fellows Restaurant) nearby. (The restaurant is outstanding.) In the moring I returned to the San Francisco Bay Area. Celebration travel is exhilarating. I stayed in Room 105 which is small, thoughtfully designed and equipped, and on the first floor. Its window looks out into a garden giving it a bucolic feel..The staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast features fruit and outstanding pastries. The coffee machine presented an early morning puzzle for everyone who used it--and made very good coffee.

A single night's stay was not enough time to discover things to dislike. I did not like not being able to take advantage of the concierge serves for the area. It's my fault for not making it a vacation. Alternatively, I look t it as an invitation to come back and explore. Westwood has certainly changed from what it was when I attended UCLA in 1950's.

Super great location, very safe and nice in one of the best district in L.A. Nice new hotel with great hip design. Walking distance to supermarket Traders Joe and Wholefoods. Also easy to reach a public transport to Beverly Hills or Santa Monica. Metro bikes rental in the next corner. We found a garage parking just on right corner for 16 USD per day.

Bit thin widows so you can hear air-condition from outside all the night but I think its a problem for all hotels I had stayed in California. Bottled water in the room is charged by 12 USD.
