The staff were amazing specially the staff from the bar and restaurant. They have plenty of activities at night during the weekend not sure on weekdays. We went here on Easter long weekend. If you want to have a good experience of Fijian culture it'll be better to stay here than big name hotels. The hotel's a beach front which is a bonus but the beach isn't that special so this is good spot if you only want a relaxing place to stay and have boat tour plans in Port Denarau during the day. Also this hotel is close to other hotels and shops, you can join the other hotels' activities. There's a nearby spa called namadaspa which was amazing as well. The hotel's close to the airport and to a big grocery shop (Walking distance) which is very convenient. The reception can assist you if you need a taxi.

The hotel is a bit old, but we were mostly on boat tours during the day from early mornings and at night and we watch bands at the hotel so we didn't mind the old style of hotel. So we have less time to spend hours on our hotel room.

We had a wonderful 7 day stay at ‘Aquarius on the Beach’ at the beginning of our Fiji holiday. We returned again (after a stay at Kuata Island) before catching our plane back to Canada. As before, the stay was wonderful in our ocean view room (I recommend paying the extra $s for that - the cost is so reasonable!). Staff were again amazing in their helpfulness & sense of ‘joy’. We felt like we had come back ‘home’. We’ll definitely return to Aquarius. We have recommended them to family and friends. Curried chicken dinner was wonderful!

Excellent beach location. Although some reviews call it a black beach, we found it the same colour sand as beaches in Canada. Lusciously warm sea water. Staff was so friendly and helpful! Only 17 suites so got to know us well & vice-versa. Curry chicken meal was excellent! Ocean facing units are the best! Have already recommended to friends & family😊

King beds are actually two twin beds attached together. No big deal - a lot of places do that..

First booking we stayed at an upgraded room - the deluxe room. This was very nice, spacious and clean. When we came back after visiting the islands, we stayed at the cheapest room, which was a big down grade. If you are staying longer, I'd pay extra to get a nicer room. The cheap room is okay for just a night. The location is nice, in walking distance from a super market and right on the beach. About 10 minutes to get to town, and 10-15 minutes to the airport. The bus for the ferry (if you are going to the islands) leaves just outside. The staff was amazing, really nice people. It was nice the place offers storage if you are going to the islands, but our stroller was covered in mildew when we came back, so I wouldn't store anything nice there.

The restaurant is okay, but a bit overpriced and nothing spectacular. I was by mistake charged for a deluxe room when we came back, and couldn't be refunded but had to spent the credit in the restaurant. At that point we had eaten in the restaurant four full days, so I was a bit sick of the menu and annoyed I couldn't just get my money back. Also it wasn't possible to check out late (the said the room was booked), but then I booked the room for an extra night, so we had it for lunch. We needed it so our baby could nap, so that was a bit pricey nap.

We stayed only for one night after our flight before boarding a boat the next day to the Yasawa Islands - it was good for the price. Cheaper and quieter than surrounding hotels. Some had huge events with loud, annoying pop music, lots of partying guests we noticed as we walked past them along the beach. This smaller, more chill hotel was more our vibe. The staff were polite and the pool was nice, we enjoyed a Vonu or two whilst having a swim in the evening. Walking along Wailoaloa beach was pleasant at sunset. The food and cocktails were decent. We tried to find a local restaurant a little later at night but the few we saw looked touristy and Westernized so we just came back to Aquarius. There's a local shop that also sells alcohol open until late closeby which is handy. Air con was super powerful. Free toiletries were handy. Easy check in and check out. Good complimentary breakfast.

They can't exchange money like it said in the description. The nearby hotel they recommend to exchange can only do very small amounts. It's within a small touristy strip of hotels but not within walking distance of any local food spots or cultural experiences, and it's quite dark at night to walk around to try. Still good for the price, especially if it's a short stay.

Location is very good with easy access to restaurants and a large supermarket. Lovely staff . Restaurant meals were of a very high standard with plenty of variety on the menu. Enjoyed the "boat bar."

Our room was very comfortable and clean but right by the hotel entrance . This was a bit noisy at six in the morning.

Our stay at aquaris, was great we would happily stay there again, but I would make sure we had the same room. The room had a few small faults but nothing we couldn't live with and we never bothered complaining. But it was really clean and comfortable. And the staff were fantastic and the food was awesome . We never had a problem getting a taxi as a taxi is always waiting out the front .

The staff were very helpful - all the men and especially Gina and Lessy. The boat bar was great - Toni was lovely and we had cocktails made for us that weren't on the menu. The kava ceremony on Friday night was exceptional - had so much fun with Soni and his dad and cousin. Loved the outlook towards the beach from the pool - so island like.

The room wasn't up to standard when we checked in, and our door didn't lock for most of the time we stayed. It was quite a noisy venue with the building work going on next door but overall we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the staff and how friendly most of them were :)
