The staff was great. They helped me with all my needs. The breakfast was rich and plentiful. The area around the hotel was beautiful. Great places to walk. There is a bus in front of the hotel that takes you to town and the train station. The best part was the swimming pool in the basement. Very quiet and relaxing.

They’re few restaurants near the hotel. Without a car you have to get into town by walking or take a bus. There is a market near by for food that you can heat up in the microwave.

Bathroom badly needs renovation. The tiles are somewhat grimy and the paint of the door has chipped away badly. Towels have no loops to hang from the towel hooks. They use really old key type for the room locks, easy and cheap to copy The hook part of the door latch was broken so couldn't even latch the door when inside the room

The staff is very pragmatic, they had arranged for getting in with a code, and receipt of the keys without their presence (I arrived about 1am). The room is simple, and clean. Breakfast has many of the continental breakfast, with the addition of a few Finnish specialties (various cheese, marinated fish, ...). WiFi stable and reliable.

The building shows its age in terms of arrangements and facilities. It is located 20 minutes walking distance from the center, which is nonetheless very nice when sunny.

While located about a 20-25 minute walk from the centre of town, it is relatively closer to the train station. The hotel is in a quiet part of town, which is mainly residential. It is clean and comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. My room was also comfortable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. The pool and sauna are open for guests in the evenings and are clean and tidy. Good value.

The room was spacious for a twin room, also the breakfast was really good and the room was clean. The room would have been very quiet, if there hadn't been a barking dog next door (we had a joining door, that let the noise throught). We also had a dog with us and liked that we were located next to the breakfast room, so that we would have heard if our dog would have made any noise. Also the animal rooms were on the first floor, so it was easy to go out.

Initially I thought the property was a bit old looking but I found it had everything we needed including pool and sauna. It was the only property with a microwave and 2 pillows for the bed. Staff were very friendly.

It was a little further away from the city but it just meant I got my steps up for the day.

Hotel Kauppi was honestly much better than I expected. - Staff was really nice and helpful - Room had a big fridge - Breakfast had lots of options - Sauna and swimming pool open every day - Not crowded during my stay - Enough parking space, one parking slot for every room I would say excellent value for the price!

I didn't find anything to complain.

Quiet. Utilitarian. Did the job. Location was close to everything I needed.

I was expecting some more basic toiletries in the restroom (dental and skin, hair care) but it's possible that isn't the norm in Finland? I honestly don't know. Something to do with sustainability, "green" civic measures.

Very well maintained older facilities with a good sauna and perfect temperature pool! The pride of the staff in the place was noticeable, and it was clean!

Advance notice that the registration desk closed early in the evening would have been welcome. We arrived just in time to meet a real person, who explained that there was also an automatic system.

The location is good, walking distance to city center, staffs are friendly and informative. Bed are exceptionally big. Breakfast is good and enough choices. Free parking in front of the hotel and there is a swimming pool as well. They have the best curtains that blocked the lights from getting into the room, therefore is the best place to sleep. They are the only hotel that provide milk for coffee in the room.

The furniture and equipments in the room needs some upgrade. Smoking place is direct at the main entrance door of the hotel, this really bothering us.
