The place is very clean. You got the kitchen with everything necessary. The staff is very friendly, organizing new towels and bedding during a longer stay. The strengthtraining gym is free to use. It doesn’t look the most comforting but you got everything you could ask for. Big bonus for me was a sports hall that you could use and sports equipment that you could borrow inside for free. I was playing basketball there a lot which is incredible to have access to in a hostel. All around the hostel there are some small things to do like playing table tennis or darts for free. The breakfast was alright, could‘ve been a bit cheaper than 9€. We haven’t used much.

I unfortunately haven’t noticed before but the sauna and pool is only to be used separately for men and women (wanted to go there with my partner) and it costs extra (I believe 10€ for 1.5h if you go there separately and if we would have wanted to go together we had to ‚rent‘ the place for 30€ 1.5h). In most hostels in Turku the sauna was included from what I‘ve heard and we even found some public ones that only costed 10€ for a day ticket. The location is okayish for the price I‘d say. There are buses around and bikes that take you to the citycenter in about 15 or more minutes.

The check-in process was very simple, there is a reception shared with the hotel. Every room has a booklet explaining all the features of the stay: the laundry, the kitchen, the gym, the wifi, the restaurant and so on. The room was very spacious offering two desks with chairs and two single beds and even a private bathroom. Everything was very clean. The view from my window was very nice, with green trees. The common kitchen and living room are spacious and have a lot of light. It was possible to cook there and use the fridge. I would totally recommend this hostel, not only for solo travelers and friends, but also for families. I had the impression that the is a lot to do in the nature in the surrounds of the hotel. For more "city-oriented" tourists there were buses to the city center not too far from the property.

Nothing, I really enjoyed the stay.

The staff were professional, when I reached the hotel the room was still not ready, but when they knew that I have be dressed up for a wedding and be out in less than an hour they offered a spare room to use it to get dressed while the other room is being prepared as well. That really made me keep up with my schedule despite the room unavailability.

The location is a bit far from any bus station, you will feel that exceptionally at night

It was a very nice accommodation. It was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was the first time in a hostel but I didn’t mind making the bed. It saved us a lot of money. There seemed am to be some kind of Christian education in the facilities but it didn’t bother us at all.

Breakfast was not included so we payed 8 Euros extra per person. What a mistake. Breakfast consisted of a sandwich, ”kvarg”, porridge, some kind of fruit drink and coffee or tea. No hot meat or something standard. Too expensive for that small selection.

We hadn't stayed in a facility like this before. When we entered the room the cleanliness was very obvious. We loved that we had to dress the beds ourselves, giving us further assurance of the level of hygiene. The beds were very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. We made use of the kitchen facilities, which were more than adequate for our needs.

Nothing. Everything was great. The location might be a bit challenging without a car if you need to visit the city, but everything is very straightforward if you do have a car.

Quiet area surrounded with pine trees. Forest view was relaxing. I loved the recently renovated room with all the things I needed: a desk and a chair for remote working, excellent bed, large tv, spacious shower, lots of options at breakfast. I liked the all the lights options at room. Nice and friendly staff. Library was open. Free parking. Elevator helped getting stuff into room.

Awesome location in nature with nice walking routes in the forest. The city is pretty close, about 10-15 min of biking. However, it doesn't feel like you're directly next to the city with all the silence around (Finland is very spacious). The staff was very helpful at the check-in, I was lucky that I could join the dinner when I arrived (take note however, Linnasmäki only has dinner when it has been ordered for a group). If I needed something, I could always ask the person at the reception area. The sauna and pool were pretty nice and clean, nice extras to have. All around VERY good value for what I've paid (about €30 per night + €8 for breakfast per day). A little note for those wanting to go to Turku at the end of May- begin June, my experience was that the hostel was pretty quiet. Not a lot of people around, if you get lucky you might speak a local (in my case a Swedish speaking Finn). Most activities such as festivals, group activities and the like seemed to start from the first or second week of June (Summer starts like half way June-begin July). If you're not really into talking with people, you could pretty much avoid a lot of chit-chat. When you get in your room, you're on your own and away from everything else. If you're extroverted (talking from a Dutch point of view), brace yourself for solitude. You really have to be able to entertain yourself on your own. It might be different during Summer, when people from Sweden and other countries get here to celebrate their holidays.

If you're staying for more than a week, I'm not quite sure whether your room will be cleaned. I stayed for 7 days and I saw a layer of dust on the desk after a couple of days. I would've liked more clarity about this, but it's not really a deal breaker to be honest. My room, including the bathroom, were very clean. Besides that, I thought the toilet seat was a bit weird looking (brown-ish, as if someone tried to burn it). The room felt warm, but not too warm. You can't open any windows and they look like they are well-isolated. I think the room might get uncomfortably warm when it's 30 C° outside.

The room is spacious and very clean. The hotel is located in a place with a lot of trees, it’s very relaxing to have a morning walk around. The bathroom is spacious and clean also. The facilities is good for a budget price.

Checkout time(10am) is a bit earlier than other hotels. Clean bedsheet, duvet cover, pillow covers are provided but you have to make your bed. The location is a bit far from the city center and it’s took about 30 minutes to wait for a bus.

It's a bit outside of the city but the location is great: in the forest, it's so green, peaceful and quiet. Room standard was nice, there was also shared kitchen available. Also, there's a pool and sauna but we didn't manage to use them before it was closed. I could stay there again :)

A little bit limited choice for breakfast

It was clean and fairly spacious. The staff was very helpful. It's on the edge of the green zone and had the window adjoining that view.

The location although scenic was a bit further away from the center. Going to the center takes about 20-30 mins by public transport. The breakfast although filling was a bit less varied.
