The venue is great, it's very close to the historic city center, it is literally just a couple of minutes away. I could even walk all the way to the City du Vin and other than upon arrival and departure I did not have to use a taxi or public transportation. The room was nice and spacious. The staff was attentive and easy to talk to. The refillable water bottled provided upon check-in is also a nice touch.

Even though it's nice to have the toilet separate from the bathroom, but it was very small and since the door was opening inwards, it was kind of difficult to close once I was inside. It's understandable that in a hotel room the space is limited, but in this case I would have rather had the toilet in the bathroom, because it made me feel slightly claustrophobic.

Location was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable with a good bed and all the facilities one might expect in this price range. Overall we had a good stay. My grandsons appreciated the pinball machine and table football in the lobby. Good WiFi and device charging services. Breakfast was fine but a little limited.

Couple of little things.. the music at breakfast was overloud and grating but this may be a generation thing. There were sophisticated coffee making facilities in the room but only paper cups. I understand why a hotel might want to do that but I thought it an economy too far.

We had a great stay at the hotel, we are a family with 2 kids, 4 years old and a baby and we visit Bordeaux for the weekend. We arrived by car, the hotel has a parking nearby (20€/day) and is 5 min walk from city center; excellent location to do all by foot. It was a misunderstanding with our booking and due to the fire safety regulations we could not stay all 4 in one room so the hotel offered us another room (next door) for free. Do to this confusion we had to wait 1hr to acces the room and they also offered us with freed drinks bouchers. The hotel is very nice, quiet and very confortable beds to sleep. The tapas restaurant is very good and the personnel very nice. We really recommend this hotel to visit Bordeaux.

Location super as tram just 2 min away, 50m piscine close by and lots of supermarche and coffee shops, size of rooms great, v clean rooms, lovely room staff, nice atmosphere, all staff at reception desk very helpful, the re fillable water bottles very useful, overall hotel seemed very inclined to encouraging recycling and sustainability

Onsite restaurant- relative to every other restaurant - not great- over priced. Also bar was over priced relative to everywhere else I visited over 8 days, didn't have breakfast so can't comment.

Very friendly staff, who were polite with my attempts to use French but also spoke superb English. Our daughter was playing in the lobby with the big teddy bears and so they gave her a little teddy bear to keep! A really nice gesture. Right near the tram line from the airport, easy to find and super helpful. They provide water bottles for during your stay to reduce plastic waste, which is a nice touch.

The coffee and tea in the rooms isn't great , and they only provide tiny paper cups. Worth bringing your own keep cup! Plus, we asked for extra coffees and they never showed up.

Friendly helpful staff, all spoke good English. Breakfast was amazing with different choices each day. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Very modern decor in communal areas with facilities to keep children entertained. Less than 10 minute walk to city centre. BONUS NOTE, Tram line A to and from airport stops about 500 yards from the hotel, £1.25 single journey.

The sheet didn't fit the bed correctly. This is my only niggle. By middle of the night it was loose and mattress exposed.

Nice decoration of the lobby and premises

Miserable interior and decoration of the room. The hotel makes a point as a green one, but it looks pathetic in a 4-star property. I am not a person to require total luxury and gold around me; however, I expect a room in Novotel to feel at least decent and attractive. All the decoration materials look cheap and poor.In my opinion, it is possible to protect nature and stay nice and comfortable at the same time.

The hotel was very inviting and friendly. The staff were always so helpful and charming to deal with. Two particular staff who were very helpful were Luma and Kerim. Also Coco in the Bar/ Restaurant could not have been nicer. We stayed for 6 nights and we all had an enjoyable stay.

Although the hotel facilities were excellent, the air conditioning in the bedrooms was weak and was not really cold enough.

Really nice staff, who go out of your way to show you a map of where to go in Bordeaux, really not something that you'd expect from a chain hotel like this. There was also free fruit. And the bedding was perfect. Tasty unlimited drinking water. Well located, walking distance to anywhere in the centre and right next to the airport tram.

Location to the city and easy access to airport.Had 5 nights in hotel. Excellent staff very willing to share information on city and very clean and Delux room was good size. Good breakfast also and quirky foyer. Did excellent Bicycle Tour and took the train to St Emilion which is beautiful day trip. Hotel is only 5 minutes from Hotel de Ville and shopping district with huge variety of restaurants.

Noisy one night as Fire station is across the road.
