What a fantastic hotel. Great location right on the beach and a stone’s throw away from the aquarium. Room was compact, clean and modern. We had a tiny balcony with breathtaking views of the beach and harbor. Very comfortable beds and a large shower. Everything is new and in great shape. The room had a small fridge, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer and air conditioning (which we didn’t use because the room was cool enough). The breakfast was amazing! Bacon, eggs & baked beans (hot) and a great selection of cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts, cereals, breads, pastries, fruit juices, hot drinks & fruit. The staff are friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

the triple room was a little bit small, and the couch we had to close during the day for better space usage, there is no parking of the hotel, but we were aware of this when booking, in the end we parked in the public parking across the street, but as it was the closest to the beach, it was a bit expensive

Staff extremely helpful in organising taxis for us and catering for our needs. They recommended a place to eat that was very good but within our budget. Rooms were functional and minimalist but comfy and very reasonably priced. Breakfasts lovely. Really nice organic food. Would stay again. Thank you!

Standby light on TV was a bit annoying when I was trying to get to sleep. Also TV conked out before the end of a film I was enjoying with Alain Delon. 🙄 These were very minor issues however..

We enjoyed the balcony and the sea view very much. The room had all the necessities for a short trip. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was well renovated.

The room was slightly too crammed, however, all the necessities where there so I don't know how else you could've organised it better without ending up making the room larger.

The bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent. The room was well sized for two people on a short stay.

There were no tea making facilities there, such as a kettle in the room. Also parking was expensive as we had to use the paid parking nearby, which worked out at around £20 a day. So, something to factor in to the overall costs.

in front of the sea. nice view. There was a coffee machine and a refrigerator, a bathrobe and a bottle of red wine in the room, which was very nice. friendly and helpful Staff.

The balcony was very small, only one person could sit on a small chair.

Breakfast lovely plenty juice and offering also David on reception was brilliant helping us get the parking sorted even though it took a long time as phone was struggling, he persevered and it worked

Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent sound proofing of the rooms from the noises outside of the hotel. Large breakfast, good cleanliness and good room & hotel equipment.

The sound proofing with the corridor is rather poor. Not an issue at night, but it can wake you up in the mornings.

I have stayed at this hotel for the last 8yrs its such a comfortable stay the bed and linen is very good quality the staff are very good nothing is to much trouble we always have a sea view its breath taking i would highly reccomend the opal hotel have stayed in others but they never quite get it right thankyou to the opal staff

Friendly helpful staff. Room had a lovely sea view. Great shower. Excellent wifi. Air con worked very well. Cosy bar area. Right opposite the big sea life centre.

The bed was quite hot to sleep in because of the thick mattress topper, it was very hot when I was there. I didn't want to pay for parking and had to go quite a way from the hotel to find any available free parking as it was high holiday season and there were lots of visitors. The room doors banged loudly when people closed them. No shops or takeaways nearby.
