Good location about 2km from the EV3 Scandibérique bike route. Lovely old farmhouse with large, comfortable bedroom and huge shower room. Chris and Tracey were very friendly and welcoming hosts. It was great that they provided beef bourgignon and apple pie for dinner on a Sunday night when the restaurants in Montbron village were closed. Excellent breakfast, more than enough to feed two hungry cyclists. There is a lovely garden and a swimming pool for relaxing in after a hard day's cycling.

Excellent stay at this B&B to break up our journey on our way back to the UK. Arrived a lot earlier than expected but were able to contact the property and check-in early.  Made very welcome with coffee and home made cake. We opted for an evening meal and weren't disappointed.  Traditional Beef Borguignon with fresh bread, then Crepes with lemon sauce. All home made. Full English breakfast plus yoghurt and cereal in the morning. (Both hosts are trained chefs!) They have recently taken over this property and fully updated it. The room was large and very comfortable.  Large bathroom with great shower.  The swimming pool area is meant to be closed for the winter but due to the ongoing good weather it was still open, so we spent a couple of hours around the pool in glorious sunshine.  We walked in to the town early evening. Uphill on the way but took about 15 minutes and easy enough. Large supermarket and a couple of bars. There are also lovely walks and cycle routes around the area.  The river Tardoire which runs at the bottom of the garden is available for fishing (not our thing, but was a very peaceful place to sit with a glass of wine) We cannot praise this B&B enough. Great hosts, the most amazing food and all for a very good price. We really wished we had booked for longer.  

Pool was chilly, but then again it's October!

Friendly and helpful hosts, beautiful garden setting with stream and river at the bottom , fab breakfast choices, bright airy and clean rooms. Able to reach places easily by car and had some great restaurant recommendations from Chris and Tracy. Daisy Dog was lovely too.

Disappointed that pool was not available due to technical issue. Nothing else could be faulted.

This is a charming B&B a short drive to Montbron centre. The facilities are fantastic, including the room, the breakfast, the pool, and the grounds. The hosts were so helpful! We spent a week there, visiting family in a nearby commune.

A very warm welcome along with the lovely, spotless, bright and spacious room and en suite and the beautiful garden made Les Bruyeres a great place to stay and we would happily recommend it. The location was ideal for us with its proximity to Montbron but it is also ideally placed for exploring more of Charente and the close by Dordogne.

Quiet spot near river. Huge room and bathroom! Spotlessly clean. Garden and pool are lovely. We enjoyed a stroll to the end to site by the river.
