The property was set in a peaceful, quiet and very attractive rural location. The amazing historic small town of Laon was a ten minute drive away with relatively easy free parking. The host Olivier was incredibly helpful, thoughtful and kind and has created a little oasis of peace and tranquility. There is an indoor pool and plenty of places to sit and relax in the grounds of the property. Our stay was just one night as we travelled through Europe back to the Channel Tunnel. It was a perfect stop off and I would not hesitate to stay again.

There is a restaurant within 200 metres which was quite pricey, so for most people, a drive would be required for an evening meal. A very small price to pay for the peace and quiet of the location.

Everything - the warmth and generosity of Olivier's welcome when we arrived, on-site parking, the use of the pool, the facilities in our room (including air-conditioning), the peace of the location, the ease for dog walks in the adjacent woodland, the closeness and quality of the (separate) restaurant next-door, the superb breakfast, easy access to/from A26. If we could give 11/10, we would.

Nothing - everything was perfect.

Very friendly host who was most welcoming and helpful. The room was very large, with a sitting area and desk as well as big double bed. this is a perfect stay if you have a dog because there is a big, shady woodland right behind the property which has plenty of footpaths. Also good in very hot weather as the room has good quality air conditioning. The breakfast was generous - fresh croissants and baguette. Laon is only a few minutes away and is worth a visit - amazing old city with a stunning cathedral.

An oasis of calm in lovely surroundings not far from the motorway which we have driven lots of times in the last 14 years. The owner was friendly and helpful. Our two rooms were at the top of some stairs and opposite each other so we felt that we had a small apartment which included the landing. The owner recommended a restaurant in Laon opposite the cathedral (open on a Monday night) so we thoroughly enjoyed seeing Laon and then a good night’s sleep

Luckily the owner texted us and said “take the middle road’ at the entrance. there are 3 choices at the turn and although signposted it can be tricky at the end of a long drive

The friendly host, greeted us well after a long journey and we arrived very late at night. Nice little swimming pool. Good breakfast

There was a problem with the electric system so we had no hot water for breakfast drinks. Instructions for the place got us to the big hotel next door..

The breakfast was excellent. Our host proposed boiled/scrambled egg in addition to all of the other delights.

The road was being resurfaced outside and st first we were unsure if we could access the property. I’m sure that this will be short lived

Very friendly welcome, swim In pool & sauna! Room V clean with a/c. Lovely meal chez Rosa very good value for money! Oliviers English is very good and hospitable. Would recommend!

A little way out of town

A very good welcoming guest house en route south, with a very pleasant accommodating host and the excellent restaurant at the Château De Breuil only 5 minutes walk away.

Sorry to have missed the window to use the swimming pool

Superb buffet breakfast with a welcome air conditioning unit in the bedroom. Olivier, our host, was most welcoming and helpful; really makes a difference. Proximity to the chateau (easy walking difference) with its excellent restaurant meant a lovely relaxing evening.

We didn’t realise what was waiting for us here but we loved this property and Olivier was the kindest, most attentive person. He saw to our every need, even though we only stayed for 1 night, unfortunately. It’s in a beautiful, rural location and we arrived late in the day with no plans for dinner but Olivier offered to book us a table at the amazing restaurant next door. This exceeded our expectations! Our best food we had during our travels from Spain through to France. There was also a lovely pool and sauna for use. Breakfast was great too. We already have plans to return!
