I arrived late at the property due to traffic coming out of Paris. The owner was waiting for me outside the accommodation. It was 8.30pm so I was nervous about trying to find my way. The accommodation is right across the street from the local train station, but you can’t hear any noise when in the room. Great location. Accommodation was exactly as advertised, comfy bed, clean room for a reasonable price. Good value for money, can definitely recommend 😊

This small hotel is in an ideal location for a quick overnight. It is very close to the train station and the car rental offices. The room is small but comfortable and had everything we needed. It was very clean. The nice man who checked us in let us go to a room a little early since a room was available. Lots of shops and places to eat nearby.

Directly in front of the station, perfect position. Optimal back door for exits in case you have an early train the next morning or you have to come back late in the night. Room was optimal and had everything one may need. Very recommended for short or longer stays.

It was written is was "insonorized" but you could hear people in the corridor very well. But this is a minor inconvenience.

The location was excellent. I felt a bit nervous about its location at the beginning because it is just right across the train station. Yet, it turned out to be a clean and quiet place to stay, For those who drive, like us, parking is very challenging.

Hotel and room were very clean. Friendly and polite staff. Evening meal and dessert. Deceiving from the outside..very clean, well presented on the inside..would stay again.

Poor parking, off street parking if you could find it within walking distance. Previous reviews regarding breakfast misleading..typical French breakfast. No lift..although we knew this when booking. Room small but very clean.

La Consigne met all of my needs: - Its location is perfect (directly opposite the train station) - The room was very comfortable - The shower was clean and powerful - The wifi was strong and reliable - The price is very reasonable

- I would have preferred a check-in time earlier than 5pm (I found this quite late) - The carpets in the room could’ve been cleaner - There was some noise and disturbance from adjoining rooms and the street outside - There were quite a lot of unsavoury characters hanging around outside the hotel which did make me feel unsafe at night

Breakfast is good enough. I like the coffee a lot. Rooms are perfectly clean especially the bathroom . i love the towels and linens as they smell so fresh. The location is very ideal for our itinerary/trip . It is very convenient goibg to different places like Ouistreham and Cabourg. The hotel is just right in front of the train and bus station. So in general , we have had a wonderful stay .Another bonus we've had is that we were able to check in very early which gave us time to rest and relax after a bus ride.

I like to have someone present at the reception, so no need to call. It makes things easier. Communication by email would have been great

Kind staff, and rooms looked quite good , well kept and modern, including WiFi access. Provided towels and soap. The location is quite great. It is right opposite the train station and there is a tram right outside, around three stops to the main downtown area and the chateau de Caen
