Clean, modern hotel rooms with carpet. Big, comfortable beds. The lift only works with the room keycard, so makes you feel safe. Just across the road from the train station, and not too far from the city centre. Awesome breakfast service until 11am during weekends. The cleaner knocked on our door to politely ask if we needed anything. Receptionists found an adaptor I had left behind in the room and kept it for me to pick up.

Occasionally a little noisy as cars dropping off people at the train station under our first floor window.

This is my 4th time staying at this hotel. I absolutely adore the privilege rooms, great value, spotlessly clean, good size, tea and coffee facilities, really comfortable with everything you need. The location of the hotel is perfect opposite chambery train station and the decor, cleanliness and comfort are excellent- I love mercure hotels for this consistency of excellence.

The front desk staff are not great. Whilst not outright rude, their customer service is slightly lacking compared with the fact that the rest of the hotel is pretty faultless. This is only a minor point. I don't let other people's attitudes affect my day too much.

Centrally located in town where we could walk to bars and restaurants. Plenty of street parking around the corner.

Even using a sat nav we found it difficult to find the hotel given it was our first visit to Chambéry. The road directly outside the hotel main entrance seemed to be for buses and taxi’s only and it remains to be seen whether we get a ticket for straying into this area! We had already checked and knew the underground hotel car park was unworkable for our Landrover plus roof box. We were told the a staff member would help find parking, but actually on the day he was pretty useless. We found our own parking on a parallel street.

The room and bed were very comfortable, warm, and quiet, literally opposite the train station. Breakfast was very good although they forgot my request for gluten free bread. Food quality was otherwise excellent. Although not relevant to the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the town, lovely old town with large Saturday market. Easy walking from hotel and train station, the hotel looked after our luggage after checkout, while we looked at the town.

Room didn't feel recently renovated - all the common areas had a nice look/decor that was a lot different to the room. Could definitely do with a refresh as it felt very 'holiday-inn' / motel-esque, but the price was higher. TV chromecasting didn't work properly.

We’ve stayed here before due to its convenient location and reasonable price. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are typical Mercure and fine for an overnight stay. We enjoyed a drink in the bar which is almost part of reception. Parking in the underground car park was €8 for my motorcycle. Although you have to drive around the block to enter the car park you can access the hotel from it.

We skipped breakfast which seemed quiet expensive.

Loved everything about this hotel which does exactly what it says on the tin. Clean, comfortable, well priced, great location, great staff. Nice bar. Great showers, generous sized bedroom with good lighting /lamps and big windows. Everything works. Extra Pillows. Kettle and coffee. Fridge. Ample space. Literally opposite trai station and short walk to centre. I could not have asked for more from this hotel which was everything it said it would be and more. Great value, great hotel. I will go every time I stay in Chambéry no doubts. We'll done. ✔

All was spot on.

Very helpful staff and comfortable room with electric blackout blinds and a comfortable bed and bath. Breakfast was great too. Perfect location for a short stopover making use of Chambery station.

The beds were very firm. The underground parking is VERY tight and on a first come first served basis.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and we could open the window for fresh air! It was across the road from the station and a very short walk to the old historic centre (10 min).

The only negative was that it didn't have it's own restaurant on site but the one next door was excellent anyway.
