Our host Brigitte, and her husband, were wonderful, both prior to arrival and throughout our stay! So friendly, and extremely helpful. We even met Brigitte's brother, who runs the family winery, Chateau Jean Royer. The room was very nice, well appointed, clean and neat, and even had a private little courtyard for our use. The breakfast was served in the larger courtyard between the room and the main residence, which was a very nice touch. The location was fantastic - great, right in the center of the village, next to a cafe which seemed to be the meeting spot for many of the local folks. There were also 2 very good restaurants within about 20 steps of the gate, as well as an art gallery and a bank. Everything else was a short and easy walk.

I had a happy two-night stay at Pergola. The host is very friendly and advises on the best restaurants in the area, also making the reservations for you if you like. The location is central, you can walk everywhere in the village. The room is comfortable and despite the central location (next to a bar and some restaurants), I did not hear anything. Did not try the breakfast so cannot comment on that. I'd love to come back to Chateauneuf-du-Pape, in which case I'll definitely book here again. Just remember to do it well ahead of time! Oh, and if you're traveling by train as I did, do book a taxi in advance. When you arrive at the Sorgues station, there is no taxi rank, not even a number to call. Luckily, I had a host who helped in real-time!

The location is absolutely perfect and Brigitte is a phenomenal host. She offered great recommendations of restaurants and things to see and do, including wine tastings. This is the perfect place for a short stay in Chateuneuf du Pape. Free parking was nearby. As for finding La Pergola, our Google Maps GPS took us right to it if it were directly on the street, but it's actually behind the building that is directly on the street, so it is not visible from the street. It's off the plaza, directly behind Benedetti's.

We liked everything about La Pergola, our host, Brigitte, and the location. We highly recommend it.

Centrally located, free private parking and a wonderful space including private backyard. The room was very well equipped and very clean. Our host Brigitte couldn’t do enough to help us with getting around the village, making dinner plans and even provided us with free tickets to the local wine festival.

Nothing - everything exceeded our expectations.

With a central location, the room was beautifully appointed and characterful. Our host had thought of everything with great attention to detail. We had a beautiful terrace and excellent breakfast. She was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and bookings for us. Nothing was too much trouble.

We liked everything.

Good breakfast, classic French, possibility to eat outside in the backyard if the weather is nice. Parking is a bit harder to find. We stopped on the street and then the lady of the house explained to us where it was. But then we stopped standing on the street when it was allowed. The lady of the house is very nice, she advised where to eat.

Brigitte was a most wonderful host. She helped us secure some wine tastings and made suggestions for dinners. The location could not have been better-right in the middle of town. Parking was available close by and was free. The water pressure was good. We did not partake in breakfast although one morning Brigette took pity on us and brought out some beautiful fruit for us. There were actually 2 terraces for us to use both of which were secluded.

The bed was too soft for me so I didn’t sleep well. We kept losing hot water, but finally figured out the hairdryer was tripping the breaker. Once we figured it out, it was fine.

Besides being clean, comfortable, and a great location, our hostess, Bridgett was so helpful and friendly. She helped with reservations and local winery gems. Great wi-fi! We spent three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend spending time there!

Nothing that I can think of.

Brigitte was an absolutely wonderful host! The location really can't be beat-right in the heart of the town-steps away to cafes and wineries. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. A real gem!

Nothing-the stay was excellent
