We were looking for a ol as out of town and found it here. There is a great bike path on the banks of River Rhône to Châteauneuf-du-Pape which is fun to ride. And there are backstreets through the vineyards back to the hotel - most beautiful. Make sure you dine at the hotel at night. Great food and a nice selection of good wines.

Nice location and facilities for visiting different wineries. I will recommend some soft pillows. I woke up with a “stone neck”. The restaurant has a good food and a nice selection of wines.

Great location close to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, staff were extremely attentive and breakfast was delicious. AC units in the bedrooms!

No fridges in the room so difficult to keep cold water in the heat! Recommend getting a car to travel as no taxis etc round there. Also ask in advance if you would like to hire bikes as they get them through someone in the nearby town, they aren’t on site

The property is gorgeous and full of rich history. The accommodations were quite comfortable. The hosts could not have been more gracious and accommodating. Breakfast and the one dinner we had there were quite good.

There was virtually no cell service on the property, although I had international roaming, and the wifi was spotty, requiring frequent reconnects, which at times were laborious.

We have stayed at La Sommellerie several times and have enjoyed every stay. The facilities are charming. The staff is friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and the gourmet dinners outstanding. There is a pool and a quiet terrace to sit and enjoy the morning and evening. it is located a short distance away from the Rhône where there is an excellent bike and walking trail. it is located about five minutes from Chateauneuf-du-pape and a short drive to Tavel, Seguret, Orange, and Avignon.

The room and the hotel itself were good. Comfortable and clean. Staff friendly. Good food in restaurant. Breakfast, average.

We arrived by bicycle (as did others), and this was the first hotel in our 19-day trip that did not have a secure place to keep bikes overnight. Also, there was no laundry facility.

The dinner was fabulous, the dining room is beautiful! We loved the recommendation for wine, of course from the area! The outside grounds were lush and inviting. And, even though it threatened rain, we enjoyed the pool and poolside lounges.

Our bathroom was very small. Although, quite serviceable. Our air conditioning unit started to drip, drip, drip, in the middle of the night, so we put a towel down to save the floors...but even then, we could hear the dripping. Not the end of the world, just a little nuisance.

Beautiful courtyard where they serve breakfast, and great hospitality by the staff. And the proximity to the village center (by car) and to Avignon makes for a great location.

The hotel is right by the road, which is no issue from a noise level but makes for a bit of stress coming and going as drivers go very fast on that stretch of road.

Food, rooms, staff and hotel in general were excellent. We have stayed here before and so knew what we could expect; we were not disappointed.

The only thing that would be an improvement is, because of the exceptionally hot weather, some bottled water in our room because the tap water, while drinkable, was not cold. As the rooms were very well air-conditioned, this would have worked well.
