The Hotel buildings are gorgeous, very picturesque and stylish interiors. Our room was lovely, cosy and modern. The bathroom was just perfection. We loved having our little kettle & coffee station in the room for early morning hot drinks. We booked very last minute (just a few minutes before we arrived due to a change of plan) and the team were very accommodating, everything was easy. We only wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed the garden some more. The location if absolutely perfect, a few minutes walk to everything in Honfleur.

The breakfast was a bit meagre, and as it was charged on-top, we opted not to have it the second day - choosing instead to visit one of the Honfleur cafes. There was a lovely selection of pastries & breads, some fresh fruit (although not much) and a very small amount of hot options. Not worth the almost 40 euros per person. Additionally, it was not explained to us on check-in that we would need to pay to park our car within the hotel's car park. This is charged on top at 25 euros per day. For a 5-star hotel, this felt a bit tacky. If we had known when we arrived, we likely could have found somewhere free to park around Honfleur instead.

Well-located and excellent ambiance in the heart of Honfleur.

The central air conditioning system is not adequate to cool the building — even at night when temperatures went below 20 C outside (but you don’t want to open the windows because Honfleur has mosquitoes). We found that the room would linger around 23-24 C / 75 F with the system on “high” during the night and for me at least this was too hot to sleep comfortably. For a five star property at this price point and with Normandy summers getting hotter and hotter, they should invest in fixing this.

The breakfast was excellent, nicely presented. They had proper green tea (hard to find usually).

The lighting in the room was not sufficient for our purposes. We usually like to sit and read in our room at the end of the day. Unfortunately the lighting did not really allow for it. A table light on the desk and a standup light near one of the armchairs would have done the trick. Bedside lighting was fine.

Beautiful small hotel in a quiet little street surrounded by a pretty walled garden. Very friendly staff and personal service. Fabulous breakfast. Very comfortable sitting room/bar/breakfast area which opens on to the garden. Nice little touches - offered a glass of bubbly on arrival and there was also champagne included in the buffet breakfast. Extremely comfortable bed and bedding.

The bedroom was rather dark and gloomy (but this is a function of the very old building so cannot be helped!) The light in the toilet goes on automatically when the door is opened - so if you get up in the night you will probably wake your partner! Minor issues - would not stop me from returning!

The garden was incredible! We had tea in the garden upon arrival. After noon we lay in the sun on one of their comfortable lounge chairs...so relaxing to listen to the birds sing! We loved the amenities in our beautiful bathroom. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast with many things from the region to choose from.

The lighting in our room was too dim for seniors. It was lovely and relaxing but not enough light made it difficult to organize our things. The lighting in the bathroom was very adequate.

It is gorgeous, inside and out. Loved learning about the property’s history of being the home to the painter St Delis. Emile, the host, was super accommodating and helpful, and made our stay (on the night of our 20th anniversary) everything we’d hoped for.

Nothing.

We stayed in the ‘Normandy House’ which was in the grounds of the hotel. It was so lovely, we had the top floor & I honestly think it’s one of the most romantic places we have ever stayed. Beautiful decor & lighting. Fabulous steam room/ shower. The staff were very friendly & helped us with our luggage into the room. Also helped with restaurant recommendations & booked them for us. I know it was expensive, but that was our choice, we decided not to pay for the breakfast as it was an extra 30 euros pp. Fantastic location in the heart of Honfleur, within walking distance to everything from the harbour to the old town. Good secure parking. Would definitely recommend, but it is pricey.

Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to the bathroom products. I’m not sure what was in them, but I would be careful if you have slightly sensitive skin.

Breakfast was exceptional. There was great variety in selections offered. Service was thoughtful and efficient. The room was very well equipped, bed very comfortable and toiletries, towels etc top class

I cannot think of a single thing we did not like

Very comfortable rooms, great service, delicious breakfast. There was a parking nearby and the location is perfect, very close to the city center and many restaurants nearby

Parking was paid, otherwise it was great!

Breakfast was good. In a quiet location within short walk from town centre.

Although reported that one bedside lamp not working on day 1 of our stay, it was never fixed while we were there.
