This place was very nice. A lot of people coming and going so you have a good social environment. The staff was super friendly and helpful also. You have a bed with your own drawer, a light, a little shelve to put your phone or something and a socket to charge your devices. The kitchen area is convenient and the bathrooms are functional.

In winter the room windows are closed and at night the air can get very stale. I felt like suffocating so maybe a ventilation system would be good.

Lovely bright, airy space with a chilled vibe. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful with recommendations. The 4 person room was very spacious with private bathroom - shower was great. The hostel is in a great location in this beautiful, relaxed city. Highly recommend.

In my 3 night's stay, it was a pleasure to stay in SLO Lyon les Pentes both due to its proximity to the heart of the city and due to hostel's very good amenities. The building is designed by an architect as a hostel. So, every detail is finely tuned to the purpose (from the facilities to the beds, toilets and bathrooms). There were a lot of guests around and all the facilities seem to fulfill the demand by those guests. I've stayed in a room with 10 beds (mixed). Some of the guests were noisy (not caring for silence) which is normal when you are in a multi-bed hostel room. You should certainly bring padlock in order to secure your belongings. The guests are mainly students and solo travelers (for the shared room). Windows provide mute when shut. No Aircon available. The bed is comfortable with necessary extras such as a 220V power inlet and a shelf for your things (such as a bottle of water, your phone, etc). The room was plenty of space (not tight). Plenty of space in bathroom (separate part for your clothes, etc) and comfortable toilet area. Facility is well managed and properly cleaned all the time. Cafe/restaurant area is very comfortable (noisy when too many people around) and practical. I had breakfast for 2 times. There are enough options to eat. Don't expect a 5* Hotel Open Breakfast. It is not a weak breakfast; you have plenty of things to choose from. They provide tea and coffee by thermos dispensers (included in €10 breakfast price). You can also bring your own coffee and tea and use kettle in the kitchen area. There is also micro-wave oven in the kitchen area. I have attached photos of the bed and the bathroom. NOTE: 1. Due to space restrictions or preferences, they didn't install a lift. So, it is not a suitable guest house for a handicapped person (there are steep stairs to climb for the rooms). 2.

On Saturday night at 3am, there were laughs, screams and yells at the corridor by a group of people which is not good at all. It is not easy for facility management to manage such situations. This took more than 5 minutes. Resolution: Hostel management might handle such situations by placing noise sensors to the floors, and night shift personnel might handle such guest properly when they create such inconvenience at nighttime.

The location of the hostel is perfect, it is in a very nice area, opposite riè de capucines, one of the nicest streets in the city. In the evenings there are several bars close to the hostel and I felt safe going back in the evening alone. It is not uphill. You can walk to all the main points of the city, but there are also two metro stations few minutes walking. The staff is very friendly! There is a kitchen you can use and a common area where you can eat at the bar, but also read, work on the computer, etc. I found the rooms very comfortable and clean! There are separated toilets for men and women.

The only negative things can be the female toilet, because there are only 2 and 1 had the door broken.

The room for 10 beds is pretty big. enough space to put my luggage. The common area have enough chairs/sofa with power outlet. Wifi strength was no problem. Basically, the facility overall is clean and newly renovated. Hotel de Ville station is convenient by about 7mins walk to take metro and bus. Old city is walkable(like 20 mins). Staffs are helpful to carry luggage although there is no elevator.

It was the warmest timing in summer. There is no air-conditioning, so that I struggled the heat while I stayed there. Be careful France has many hostels which don't have air-conditioning. There is no grocery store around this hostel. I wish the hostel could sell drinks like water, gas water, and some alcohols.

Hostel is a good place to be. Close walking distance into town, everything looks tidy and clean. Two small supermarkets close by. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, speaking not only french but mostly English also. Breakfast you can have as much as you can eat for 9 EUR. We stayed in a private room which was spacious and sufficient.

We are just used to hostels with bigger kitchens etc, kitchen at Slo is just very small with only one little induction cooktop and 2 fridges for such a big place. I suppose most people by ready made meals.

I enjoyed how close the area was to all the things I needed to see, especially to transit locations as well. it was nice that they're was an eating and cooking area as well. I also felt that Pierre (hopefully I am remembering his name right) went above and beyond, really helping me with any questions or issues I had. Honestly all of the staff was kind and helpful.

the things I didn't enjoy did not have to do with the place but the people I shared space with. such as leaving the window open and letting party noise from outside filter in through the night.

This is the best of the two Slo hostels, and also much more spacious and vibrant than Yasi. The area is really nice and the vibe is mostly traveler. Frankly surprised, this is a huge hostel with lots of space and seating in the main common area. The dorm was HUGE but luckily not cramped at all, which meant that it felt ok.

The air quality in the room was atrocious. I tried to open the windows but they seemed locked. Bathrooms could be slightly improved and please don't ever again install showers with push buttons; this is a hostel not a gym.

The staff was great and good location! I stayed in a mixed dormitory and a private room. The private room was really nice and cozy!

No curtain for the beds in the dorm so everyone can see each other. Everything costs extra even lockers for your stuff, never had that in a hostel.
