Location. We had a superior double room far too cluttered with furniture although the history of the building.

Noisy air conditioning which kept us awake for 2 nights after reporting it the morning of the first night nothing was done. Eventually we had to move rooms on night 3 of a 5 night stay so inconvenient to say the least. Not even a complimentary glass of wine was offered. So bit disappointing.

We really liked the unique style of the hotel, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the location. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the main city centre and old town centre and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The beds were firm but comfortable and the rooms were clean and had air conditioning. We also enjoyed the hotel's rather unusual relaxation pools which were in the basement.

The rooms were quite compact and tea/coffee making facilities weren't automatically provided. (Although, the hotel were able to provide a kettle and cups when asked and there's a convenience shop just over the road for supplies).

The room was lovely, the location perfect for walking almost everywhere. The bar is a relaxing place to have a drink of an evening and reception staff were very helpful providing anything we needed.

We had an issue with housekeeping not replacing coffee cups meaning we had to go down to reception to get more. This happened every day of our 4 night stay. They also accidentally removed some small items of ours from the room and it was a drama to get them back.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. Good breakfast.

We nearly missed the train as the receptionist did not want us to order the taxi earlier. Perhaps it was a bad day but if there is a risk of not getting a taxi in time it would be perhaps prudent to warn us. Just for the record - taxis were not available and we just managed to catch a bus and we caught our train with just a minute to spare.

Lovely old hotel with lots of character and warm heated small pools. Staff very helpful. Good central location.

Breakfast was average and cost €19 per person, which is very expensive. I think this should have been included in room price which was £164 per night. No fridge in room.

Very good location. Close to restaurants, bars and the main sights of the city. A hotel with a lot of character. Friendly and helpful staff.

We found the fact that the swimming pool was right up to the (indoor) restaurant and eating area a little strange and the smell of chlorine was off putting.

The location is just excellent, could not be better and calm if you choose a room to the court. Very functional and nicely decorated rooms with everything you need.

The swimming pool is small which is ok but it is near the restaurant so you have to walk through the reception. Didn't use it therefore

Great hotel, that is superbly located near the old town. The room and facilities are surprisingly large for the center of a such dense city as Lyon. They are also clean and comfortable.

Great hotel with paid parking garage nearby (around 20 euros), and we were able to park out front temporarily to drop off our luggage. Reception staff extremely helpful, friendly and professional, and gave us some recommendations for restaurants in the area. No kettle etc. in the room, but on request they sent up a tray with everything we needed to have a cup of tea after returning from dinner. Room was clean, good size, large bed, and bathroom had everything we needed for our one night stay. We did not need the full breakfast, but noticed on checkout that in the front bar area they had complimentary fresh coffee and croissants for guests to help themselves - nice bonus to grab something for on the road! Would highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel with all services. The personell is very kind. The hotel is very clean in the rooms and in the common spaces. The pool has a very smooth atmosphere. The overall impression for my three days at the hotel is very very good.
