the location is great, also the design of the hotel and how the room looks is really amazing, it was a pleasure. The room was bigger than I expected, very nicely designed, bed very comfortable, it was just what I needed. Big plus for the small, but handy elevator. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

the room wi-fi was weak - maybe it was due to my room being at the end of the corridor, I also did not need it too much, but it would be nice to have it working more stable, I kept getting disconnect. I would change the system of daily stocked small soap and shower gel to more sustainable, bigger bottle to be filled in when needed. As for the breakfast, it would be nice to have some vegan options, including milk other than cow's for coffee.

The hotel is very central: I was able to walk to Parc de la Tete d'Or and Part Dieu and was surrounded by shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. To access more of the city, it is about five minutes' walk to the closest metro station and bus and tram stops are everywhere. The room was very clean with simplistic modern decorations; the paintings in the lobby and restaurant, murals on the stairs, and white, grey, orange colour scheme in the room looked great. Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke English as well as French at check-in/check-out. Breakfast was a buffet with delicious, good quality options (juice, milk, water, meat and cheese, yoghurt, granola/muesli, banana bread, egg boiling facilities, small croissants and pain au chocolat). Hot drinks were available from a machine so I had a hot chocolate and this is coming from someone with high standards for hot chocolate: it was very good for one from a machine!

The central location meant that there was plenty of noise outside. The hotel probably can't do anything more about this (they provide ear plugs; I didn't need them), but it's worth knowing before booking if you need complete silence. The room had a capable but audible ceiling fan but no air conditioning so during my stay in hot weather I slept best with the window open. There were no decorations in the room but there was a screw sticking out of one of the walls. It would have been nice to see that presumably missing decoration but missing it didn't affect my trip at all. Similarly, I would have liked to make a cup of tea, but there wasn't a kettle in the room.

The area was super quiet and nice and calm, the staff were very kind and the restaurant looked super nice even we didn’t eat there. The breakfast other guests were having seemed very delicious. We found a great comfort in the small but comfortable room we had. There wasn’t any noise at night and the mattress was very comfortable. We also appreciated the ceiling fan. Thanks Hôtel Taggât

I wish there would have been a little bottle of water in the room for the night or a kettle to make a tea in the room. Besides that, we didn’t know if there was a common room with a common toilet to use after the check-out.

The hotel had everything I needed in a great location to access all the sites of Lyon. The decor has been tastefully done, the staff very accommodating and the food excellent. I only had coffee and croissant for breakfast, though the buffet looked great ( though a bit expensive at €14). I ate dinner on one night, and though not cheap, it was a gastronomic delight, and obviously very popular in the neighborhood. The room, though tiny, had everything I needed - it was very well designed to make best use of the very limited space. While I probably wouldn't want to spend a week there, it was perfect for a couple of days. The large window meant that the room didn't feel pokey, and the ceiling fan went some way to reduce the heat at night.

It would have been nice to have a small kettle in the room, however I was able to order a pot of hot water at the bar and bring it up to make a tisane in the evening. The room does get hot, because of the large window and small room size - so Aircon would be nice. But the ceiling fan was relatively quiet and did a good job.

The responsible guy at the reception was super nice

when I was checking out there was another guy who didn't know what to do and had to check with the other guy. So I had to wait several minutes for the first guy to finish serving breakfast. The room is a bit tiny. Not a lot of space to walk through. The toilet was clean on the visible parts but deep in the bowel you could see was very dirty

I really like this hotel, and stayed a few times for work. The rooms are different, from very small, single bed set up, to bigger, full bed etc. but prices accordingly, and all of the rooms are really stylish. I liked staying there everytime. It has a nice vibe and a cafe on site with a great team.

Sometimes the rooms are not exactly top comfortable, with baic pillows etc. but I always enjoyed my stay regardless. Occassionally noise can be an issue

Fantastic location, very comfortable room and nicely fitted. Most importantly it is in a great location from which to explore the city. I could walk to the train station in 20 minutes and to the centre in about the same length of time. Great value for money (although prices vary a lot and I got cheap rates on a Sunday). Staff were wonderful and went above and beyond for me when I lost something.

The hotel is well located, and even though the room is small you have a shower and toilet for yourself. It's located and a great area, the rooms are clean and the staff is helpful.

Don't pay for the breakfast "buffet" it's expensive and it's not worth it. I have a situation where someone knocked on my door a couple of times and I didn't like that.

The staff and owners were so attentive and helpful. It was our first night in Lyon and we needed a place for just one night and the staff, especially Etienne, were so helpful in helping us get to know the area. It seems that a young couple runs the business and they have an excellent sense of hospitality. Very clean accommodations and surprisingly quiet for being in the heart of the city. Perfectly located for walking everywhere. Restaurant was great! Etienne was our server and he was terrific. Delicious first dinner in Lyon and substantial breakfast for a small fee the following morning.

We rented the apartment unit in the building next door. It was great for our family of 4, with a separate bedroom for the adults and a comfortable bed on the floor for the kids. The bathroom was clean and recently remodeled, so a very modern style. We loved the location being in a neighborhood, not at the heart of the tourist zone. Super interesting art in the lobby, and a lovely little restaurant to have a glass of wine or a coffee. The small plate dishes at the restaurant during dinner time were spectacular. The owner recommended a good local wine, and help us out with some little details for our stay - we appreciated the personal attention and the boutique hotel vibe. Would stay here again!

The apartment unit was in the building next door, on the 6th floor, so we did have to climb 6 flights of stairs. Not a deal killer, but good to know up front (I believe they did mention in the description). We did not get to experience a room in the hotel though, which was a slight disappointment. But again, not a deal killer.
