We had told the hotel that we would be coming to Lyon to celebrate our wedding anniversary and when we arrived in our room we were greeted by heart shaped balloons and pink and red paper hearts on the bed with a nice note wishing us a happy anniversary. We had paid for the "privilege" room which large and was well located on the corner of the building with large windows looking onto Place Jacobins. The breakfast buffet was great including an option for freshly squeezed orange juice and the special Lyonaisse Praline. The location could not be more ideal, centrally located for walking to all the city's attractions and with a taxi stand just on the Place Jacobins should you want a lift further afield. The room came with four rectangular pillows, two firm and two soft; the staff brought us one more soft pillow on request as I am not fond of the firm pillow, it was nice to have the option. They also brought us more of the decaf coffee pods on request.

I would have preferred a room on a higher floor as the view would have been better. I thought about requesting it but since they had gone to the trouble to decorate for our anniversary, I did not feel that I could ask. The view was nice nonetheless.

we stayed in Room 512 which was anger than most European hotel rooms, nicely appointed. French doors to a balcony, excellent bathroom, large very comfortable bed. wonderful location for centre ville … easy access to two major car parks, short walks to the Rhone and Saone, wonderfully elegant pedestrian shopping promenades. helpful and welcoming staff.

the breakfast while apparently touching the usual bases is not up to the standard of comparable hotels. Disappointing … but also our only criticism .

The staff at reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. Within very easy walking distance of an underground car park, and perfectly situated to explore any part of Lyon. We would certainly stay here again.

Would be interesting to be able to reserve a spot at the nearby underground car park and maybe get a preferential rate. Would save worrying about if there'll be room. Maybe the hotel could negotiate this?

The location is fantastic - at the corner of Place de Jacobin. It's a lovely boutique-type hotel - small lobby and breakfast room. Contemporary style rooms and bathrooms, and really comfy beds. Spotlessly clean. Very quiet despite central location. Rooms have air conditioning, fridge, kettle & coffee, tv. Would happily stay here again.

Booking.com rate does not include breakfast, and this is charged by the hotel at approx €20 per head. We had breakfast on one morning and it was very good - selection of hot and cold food, fruits, nuts, yoghurt, cereals, etc Reception gave us a local map when we enquired, they were very helpful, but there could be more local information/tourist information available in the hotel, perhaps in the rooms. Not a reflection on the hotel, but in general in Lyon it was difficult for us, with limited French (English speakers) exploring Lyon on foot, to find information and understand local menus, etc. We relied on Wikipedia and Google quite a bit!

having visited Lyon several times in the last few months, I can say this is by far the best room I’ve had by a long shot! We had a room on the 5th floor with a small terrace that would be amazing in summer. The room was well equipped with an amazing bathroom and I loved the slippers and bathrobe. excellent facilities including a safe and fridge. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble

We loved the location and classic charm of the hotel itself. When we made our reservation we noted that we were celebrating our 48th anniversary and were given the corner room on the top floor - very spacious and well-appointed - with a wrap-around balcony.. the views were spectacular. The room was very comfortable, the front desk and housekeeping staff very cordial and helpful, and the breakfasts were sumptuous. We will definitely return to Lyon and to this hotel in the future.

We have no complaints about anything.

This hotel is in a perfect location which is my #1 reason to chose a hotel. You can walk everywhere and lots of good places to eat/shop/drink. The hotel itself was fine. I hate that saying this comes off as negative but it met my expectations. It was clean, the Wi-Fi was good, and the staff was polite and helpful. If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a great area, this is your place.

If you want luxury, you may not be in the right place. For my purposes this place met all of my expectations. Note that I didn't really have breakfast so I have no opinion on it.

Excellent staff, helpful and friendly. Great breakfast, both hot and buffet, all you could need. Our room was large, very good big bed, lots of hot water. My only suggestion would be a small set of drawers for clothes, the wardrobe was tiny and half filled by the ironing board! Some hooks for the bathrobes is also needed in the bathroom. The location was good for the old town, tour bus and many restaurants. A very nice hotel and good value.

Not enough space to put ones clothes.

I loved this hotel. The staff were fantastic and so helpful The position was probably the best in Lyon. Just around the corner from the buzzy restaurants and night life. Right next to a beautiful square that is all lit up at night. Easy walking distance to the old town and both rivers. High end shops all around and lots of beautiful little bakeries and coffee shops. Would definitely recommend it to everyone. Will definitely be back.

Not sure I can really complain about anything
