Good location

Impression -no safety

We had a studio apartment booked but on arrival we got upgraded to an apartment for 4 people. Was a lovely bonus having the extra room. Apartment was very spacious and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again as location to the port was quite good.

Would be nice to have a brush and dustpan in the apartment as the apartments aren't cleaned during your stay. Also the area around the hotel seems to attract the wrong type of people but that isn't the issue of the hotel just the area of Marseille. Saying that I would happily stay here again. Just have to be vigilant around that area at night time.

Spacious apartment that allows for comfortable longer stay. Staff are great. We had a problem with the window in our room and were offered another room. Location is extremely commutable. M1 metro and buses on your doorstep. Gare St Charles 10-15 min walk for bus to the airport or other cities. There is a large Mall 5 min walk, on the way to the Port or Central.

The area attracts too many homeless people and drugs are being taken on the steps to the side. Unfortunately this is a Marseille problem and the hotel cannot do anything to resolve. We do not hold the hotel responsible in any way and only mention if you prefer a quieter location.

I’m not familiar with accommodation prices in Marseille but this one seems to be an excellent choice with decent cost-performance ratio. The location is good, both st-charles station and vieux-port are within walking distance, both M1 and M2, the two principal metros have a station within 100m. The room is big, cozy, equipped with balcony as well as a kitchen, the sanitary system and bathroom are good, I’d say it was really comfortable to stay inside.

I can’t find any regarding its price and location, the only thing is that it’s not very like a hotel but more like an apartment building, but no problem to me.

We liked that we had a spacious apartment and there was a bedroom with a door and the room with the pullout chair also had a door (we were three people). The pullout chair had comfy bedding and was plenty big for my 14 yr old, very tall, son. The kitchenette was great, also the location very close to the vieux port and lots of grocery stores and cafés. The staff was great, they allowed us a noon checkout with no extra charge. Good breakfast, and there was a laundry room which was easy to use and they had a dryer! Our apartment had a small balcony as well. When going back to Marseille we will stay at Staycity!

Nothing we didn't like

Extremely well equipped room which would have been great to stay longer in and use more of what it had to offer! Great value for money Very well sized room with everything you’d need for a mid-length stay. Nicely decorated interiors, felt secure and safe and all the staff were friendly. Walking distance from both the main station and also down to key attractions like the Cathedral and Vieux Port.

There was a bit of an odd smell when initially entering the room except you did get used to it, nothing major. The location felt a little sketchy after dark but the hotel itself felt very safe.

Everything was ok.

The apartment was clean and equipped with everything necessary, including a coffee machine with capsules, an iron, a hairdryer, a refrigerator, a TV, and Wi-Fi. On the positive side, the staff was pleasant and accommodating, allowing luggage storage before check-in. The hotel is conveniently located near the station and next to the metro on a main street, which is particularly important in Marseille, known for safety concerns. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the old port, and there's a nice Italian restaurant nearby "Splendido".

However, there was one drawback: the room lacked main lighting and relied solely on bedside lamps. Additionally, the view from the room overlooked the courtyard, which was not very attractive, making the balcony uninviting in the evenings.

The property was very clean and spacious for a studio apartment all the facilities where great staff super friendly and helpful would 100% return to stay city if I ever go back to Marseille

The location was very close to the port and the city area with all the shops the only downside was there was a lot of noise on the streets outside and gangs of people outside which I understand can’t be helped but if I was travelling alone I wouldn’t feel safe walking to the port area lucky I wasn’t alone.

It was located in city center, really close to all objectives, metro station is a 1 min walk. Really clean, a king size bed (180x200cm) bigger than normally in a hotel. Large rooms, comfortable bed. Really nice staff, all of them were helping us with all our requests. I asked for a room far from the elevator, with a balcony, they solved, I even asked what wine they recommend from their shop, they gave recommendations, etc The kitchen is well equipped with all goods and utensils that are necessary (we didn't use them too much, we ate in town), but they had even a small dish washer machine.

We had this trip in December, and the heating system was not the best, in bathroom the heating was not working at all, BUT they brought us a portable heater, so we could heat extra whatever room we wanted.
