it was clean, very comfortable and very welcoming. the breakfast was basic but ideal to stop in Marseille for the night

down a quiet side street, a very short distance (uphill) from Gare St Charles and 15 minute gentle downhill walk to Vieux Port with numerous restaurants past shops and bars. safe and quiet inside, thin walls but we couldn’t hear anybody else and slept well. staff a little dour but perfectly helpful if speaking French.

rooms slightly on the small side, but recently refurbished and very clean. outlook onto enclosed courtyard unpleasant- this could be cleaned up every few months? had to hand keys in whenever we left hotel but ultimately this was a good security measure. limited breakfast offering but we went out for breakfast each morning which was fine.

The hotel is just one block down from the main train station in a quiet street towards the downtown. It is only 15 min walk from the Vieux Port. The room we were in had nice windows, was very clean. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

The room was nice but small (Paris like room). The mattress was a bit hard for me (but I am light).

I chose the hotel as it was very close to St Charles station. My room was clean and comfortable and I liked the bathroom toiletries! The room had air conditioning, but I opened the window in the morning and was amazed how quiet it was.

The road is a bit shabby, but the hotel is only a minute’s walk from the main road. I had breakfast there, but there was very little space and no one was clearing the tables.

Clean room. Good air conditioning. Clean. Location is close to train station and almost on a main road. Staff were helpful and always available. Security was good with staff needing to open the door.

Location is not ideal, the street is a little rough and did not always feel safe while walking alone. Dark room as only small window in corner which did not let in any light.

Great location, very close to the train station and only a short walk away from the old port. The family room was very spacious with a large bathroom and wet-room style shower. Everything looked to be newly decorated so rooms were clean and fresh. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were very handy too. The staff were friendly and helpful- offered directions and ordered taxis etc.

No complaints really. Staff members that we met had very little English so an ability to communicate in French would be an advantage for anyone visiting the hotel.

Very good, everything worked. Looked after my case on the Thursday while I went round the city for the day.

Staff very miserable. Blinds in bathroom very poor. View out of window was disgusting as it was just litter and rubbish.

great location just around the corner from the train station. Very friendly welcoming staff. good english spoken to compensate for my poor french. Good quality continental breakfast but small breakfast room. Bedroom was tidy and well equipped. Ideal for solo traveller

the breakfast room was too small for 4 tables. 3 tables would be tight but ok. Maybe stagger breakfast timings. I could have had breakfast any time to suit. Outside shutter didn't close one side of my window.

The hotel room was clean and had enough space as expected. Attached bathroom and decent WiFi speed. The room has Air conditioning. The area is in the city center, so many food shops were open till midnight. A few mins walk from the metro station and central station as well. Overall I recommend staying here.

Around midnight at 3 am some random person from the neighbor's room or so started knocking our door, and got scared and couldn't open the door. They continued to talk loudly and non-stop for another hour. Our sleep was totally disturbed.

I haven't slept so well in all of my holliday, the beds are incredibly comfy! The room is not big, as can be expected in the centre, but smartly decorated, so all comforts are there (nice shower, aircon, super nice bed etc). The hotel is super close to St Charles station (a beautiful way to arrive in Marseille). If you walk down the stairs from the station, it's right around the corner. Very convenient, if you travel by TGV, like me :). The (new) staff member was very welcoming. And so happy I enjoyed Marseille, a very intruiging place. I would stay again, especially when travelling by train.

The hotel was fine for me and would stay again. I read the reviews before, about the neighbourhood and asked the (female) staff about safety around (I was travelling alone). She said there was no problem, since there are a lot of people around. I agree: In every big city you need to be a bit streetsmart, not more so here than in other places. That said, I found Marseille a bit changed (very segregated, some areas a bit more rugged), but the hotel is a very nice and comfortable nest.
