Hotel Flots d'Azur

This is a family-run business. They are exceptionally friendly, and they even helped me improve my basic French by.. well, speaking French to me! Which I adored. In case of emergency there are also English-speaking personnel available. Also, I am on low sugar diet and, with the breakfast served at the hotel consisting mainly of pastry, jam and sweet yoghurt, I was thinking that maybe ordering breakfast had not been such a good idea after all. But the hosts found an alternative solution for my meals to keep them healthier! Finally, the hotel is situated at the beachfront (albeit a bit off the bustling streets - which is good), on the famous Promenade des Anglais so I enjoyed the perfect sea view. Also, the pillows were really comfortable.

There isn't really much to mention - apart from a shower drainage problem which was gone overnight, after I reported it. Also, the bed consisted of basically two single beds put together so there was a hollow space between them. But whether you sink into that spot is on you, on your sleeping habits.

I highly recommend Hotel Flots d'Azur for anyone visiting Nice. We stayed at Hotel Flots d'Azur for 4 nights. This is a lovely small family hotel right at the beachfront. The location is unbeatable. We got a triple room with two big windows facing the sea and the view is incredible. We can enjoy the sun and beach on the bed! The room was spacious. The hotel owner Joseph has been a professional hotel manager in Paris, and he and his family managed to keep the service standard for this hotel high. Joseph is so charming and considerate. We can really talk to him and get along with him very well. Joseph really made our stay a memorable experience and I am sure we will come back.

It was a small quiet boutique hotel. The owner was very nice and helpful. Lovely spacious room, with fantastic shower. There was also a fridge, air conditioning and a safe in the room which was ideal. The hotel is ideal if you are looking for a quiet place to stay.

It was a little bit pricey for room only rate but I suppose for its location on the promenade, that is to be expected. Little disappointed that no complimentary coffee or tea offered to guests in the morning consideringwhat we paid. We had double patio doors leading onto a small balcony but the patio windows were not very clean.

I like staying at Boutique Hotels and this was perfect for me. I arrived earlier than expected and Joseph checked me in and whilst there was no lift and I was on the second floor, Joseph carried my two suitcases which was not expected. I had a great view of the promenade/Ocean. Joseph gave me tips re Nice, especially the safety and was available to assist and always greeting me when I returned from my day out. I felt safe as a solo female traveler, certainly got value for what I paid. Everything that was advertised about the property was accurate. Joseph also arranged my transfer on my departure, ever so accommodating, Thankyou so much Joseph, I will certainly stay there again.

Charming modest hotel in great location along Promenade des Anglais. Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Helped us carry our heavy bags up the stairs. He gave us tips for places to eat and made us coffee in the morning. It was quite pricey but guessing because we came in during the Monaco Grand Prix. Not a luxury hotel but comfortable with easy walking to many shops and restaurants with beach and Promenade des Anglais across a busy street. As a couple felt safe walking back around midnight. Owner showed us how to back in to our hotel after hours.

Our room and bathroom was tiny although had a lovely little balcony overlooking Promenade des Anglais. There was no elevator and peeling paint in the hallway. No 24-hr front desk

The hotel is in a good location and we had a room with a small balcony overlooking the sea and Promenade des Anglais which was great. It's a little distance from the old town but walkable and transport links are good. Our room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Good bathroom and shower. It was cleaned well daily. We found an excellent patisserie for breakfast in the street behind the hotel.

We were off season and so some patio furniture and other things were stored in then entrance foyer which wasn't a great look. The room was quite basically equipped. In fact the nice owner is only too willing to supply things like glasses, a kettle and cups on request but this was never mentioned when we arrived. It was a bit of voyage of discovery. There were no guides, information etc. in the room but we did discover them downstairs. Our bathroom door lock was broken and needed propping closed. (Everything else was fine.)

The hotel is 3 stars but I recommend it to be 4 stars The site of the hotel is excellent, as it is directly opposite the beach, There are restaurants and groceries on the street behind the hotel, and the bus and train station is very close. Mr. Youssef, the hotel manager, dealt with visitors very elegant, the room is very clean, there is a private parking, but the fee is paid.

There is no elevator. But everything is excellent.

The owner delivered a very high level of customer service, always available. Small but tasty breakfast table served, private parking lot for car, 50 m to the seashore, several grocery stores and restaurants in walking distance yet not crowded unlike closer to Old Town area. Overall excellent price quality ratio.

Location on the sea was really nice and the view beautiful. The manager was very nice and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. Beach towels and umbrellas were available for use and we were able to park our car off-street.

Lobby area was outdated and smelled of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was very small.

It was perfect a couple of days wasn't long enough. We wished we could of stayed for longer. The view from our room was amazing. The room was lovely well set out and good sized bathroom and shower. The owner was very nice and helpful. We will definitely be going back. Thankyou for a wonderful couple of days.
