The hotel is located on the hillside in Nice. Beautiful views. Daniel was amazing, he was like a personal ambassador for the city of Nice. So welcoming.

Our room was right off the lobby. Noisy. Booking.com rooms seem to all be ADA rooms. I had requested parking, but it had been given away. The parking was street parking many blocks away.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hidden gem of a hotel! We loved the quiet and calmness of being out of the major tourist area. We would awake each morning to the birds and the amazing smell of orange blossoms. It is a lovely boutique hotel with an old world European ambiance. However, the hotel is up on the hillside, and it is about a 20 minute walk down to the old town. The walk up is about 20-30 min depending on the route you choose. In the beginning, I wasn't too happy with the walk. But, I quickly came around and enjoyed the "stroll" down into town. We definitely got our steps in! The rooms are comfortable, charming and thoughtfully designed, but a bit on the small side. We had a ground floor garden room with our own private outdoor area. Although we didn't have a view, we appreciated the private outdoor space. Also, if we wanted to enjoy the hotel grounds, we could just walk right out of back sliding glass doors. The breakfast was wonderful with a lot of choices. Very friendly, courteous and professional staff. Bar is open until 11:00 and they do have a limited menu for room service. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!

Perhaps consider offering optional shuttle into town?

Quiet location, nice walk downhill to Nice Walking back up can be challenging in the heat if you're not fit (Ubers available everywhere) except Monaco where they are banned! We had a Garden room on ground floor with small table and chairs outside No views to talk off from these rooms Air con was efficient, sound proofing could be better but what you'd expect from an older hotel We didn't use the pool, but it is very small and looked busy when we checked it out Breakfast was nice, pretty standard stuff but all good Phillipe on front desk was very friendly with helpful tips Overall I would stay again as I read the main strip hotels have poor noise control with proximity to the main road Note. August and I got bitten quite a bit by mosquitoes in and around the Nice area, so take bug spray

We didn’t book for the pool area, but having checked it out it was very small

Beautiful hotel and rooms. Really lovely. Amazing views of Nice and delicious, quiet breakfast. The pool is teeny but we hopped in after a long hot day and it was perfect. The setting and neighborhood is amazing. It’s the only hotel outside Nice city center and you’re surrounded by gorgeous villas. The only downside is the walk in and out of the city because it’s very hilly. We walked to the beach and caught an Uber home some days to avoid the hike home. But it’s so quiet, a true retreat from the city bustle. Rooms are pretty small but beautiful.

Bed a tiny bit soft for me and the room is small but really beautiful.

The hotel is very small, which makes it ideal for the calm family vacation. I especially liked the receptionists: they have a truly individual approach to every guests starting from memorising the names, providing recommendations for the restaurants and sightseeing, and even sharing the historical life of Nice. The design of the rooms is very interesting, it’s like living in a castle. Timeless classic. Breakfast menu has not many variations, however everyone will find a delightful snack there, all of the highest quality. Also the area is very nice and calm, no crowded bars or noisy restaurants nearby.

This is a lovely hotel situated on the hills above old Nice. The rooms are sumptuous with vibrant and tasteful decor, spacious and thought has been put into your comfort. Beware of the electric blinds - they truly do block out all light and sound and you can end up sleeping well past your normal wake-up time. We had a lovely seaview, there is a pool and outside sitting area with shade. The staff were charming and accommodating. Please note, they do have parking available, if you have a car. Walking distance to Chagall and Matisse museums and into old Nice, the old port etc.

A charging point next to the beds would have been nice for cellphones etc.

The hotel is slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city (albeit just a short walk), and when you walk in there is an atmosphere of calm and tranquility. The team at the hotel are wonderful. Friendly, helpful and discreet with expert advice. Upon checking in, the manager, Philippe, organised lunch for us at a beautiful restaurant in Nice; and his colleague later organised our taxi for the départ, so there was nothing else to worry about during our short stay. The room was beautiful too, with views across Nice from every window. The hotel has a small pool which provides just what you need on a hot day: an oasis where you can sit, relax and cook down. Finally, the hotel delivers and excellent buffet breakfast of fresh pastries, salmon, scrambled eggs. Lunch/dinner by the pool or in room is also fresh with a great choice; and there is an excellent bar. Gastronomie at the heart of the Petit Palais. Would I return? Certainement.

An elegant and traditional hotel with superb decor and excellent staff. Lovely little garden and pool and fabulous area for breakfast. Nice rooms with L’Occitane toiletries and enormous 4K tv. Only 25 Rooms so felt private and personal. Great choice at breakfast, including bacon (unusual in a lot of Europe)

The only downside for those without a car is that the hotel is on a a hill some 30 minutes from the front by foot, 15/20 mins to the old town and the restaurants and too far to drag bags from Nice Ville railway station. Also looks like parking is limited.

Firstly, we were welcomed warmly before we even got out of the taxi after arriving at the hotel. Kevin (an exceptionally attentive and professional member of the hotel’s team of staff) opened our taxi door and took our bags. He registered the fact it was our honeymoon so upgraded our room and gave us a complimentary glass of champagne! This level of service continued throughout our stay, with Kevin and his team going out of their way to give us information and recommendations, as well as book taxis and excursions for us. Kevin even arranged a taxi to drop off one of our bags at the airport, that we accidentally left behind. The hotel itself was clean, well appointed and well located. The room was large, thw bed was super comfy and the bathroom was clean and stocked with lovely L’Occitaine products. We also loved the pool and garden area. The breakfast was good as well - a nice array of pastries, bread, cooked items, smoked salmon and cold meats and cheeses. We loved our stay from start to finish!

Absolutely nothing!

We arrived mid morning and we were invited to go to the breakfast room while they readied the room. The food was delicious and the tea and coffee selections superb. When we returned to the desk, the manager said he upgraded us to a room on the upper floor and it had a view of the sea and a small balcony. The bed had soft sheets and a light weight comforter. Very comfortable. Nice toiletries - L'Occitane! Beautiful garden with private areas to enjoy the sun or shade. We had drinks and a delicious meal in the garden. Very reasonable prices.

Nothing The hotel was superb and the staff was very accommodating. It was a pleasure talking with the well informed manager. Taxis will pick up at the property but not uber.
