Hotel Central Saint Germain is conveniently located in the heart of Paris, with major sites a short walk away. These include Notre Dame/Sainte Chappelle on the ile de la cite, the Sorbonne, the Pantheon, Jardin du Luxemborg, etc. The rooms are big enough and the amenities are good. The front desk staff is very approachable and helpful, especially to us English-speaking Americans who only know a little French. Water pressure was amazing and hot water was immediately available. Overall a very good experience.

The hairdryer in the bathroom looked like it was straight out of 1974 and did not blow with the heat and intensity we're used to. Also, while the shower had great water pressure, it was almost too hard. The tub/showers are equipped with a clear plastic shield that only went half way, so the floors were soaked after each shower.

The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic! Near Sorbonne, on a quiet street but close to a lively neighbourhood. The hotel is very nice, comfortable (great bed!) and very clean - there was no sigle thing I might say that was missing. Lastly, breakfast (including coffee) is really good!

Staff were generally very friendly and helpful especially the guy in charge of the breakfast buffet. His provided us with an excellent service every morning and always greeted us with a smile. Outstanding breakfast! Great varieties and freshly prepared. Front desk personnel were also extremely helpful and accommodating. We had no issues leaving our luggages in storage before check in time and after we checked out. Cleaning team also did a great job in keeping our room tidy and providing us with clean towels Will definitely recommend this place to friends.

The room is extremely small. No place to put our carry on luggages. The closet is also extremely small. Not enough space to hang our clothes. The tub/shower space was tight and leaving a huge water mess on tge bathroom floors after taking a shower. Just very inconvenient and messy.

Rooms were big enough for Paris, you can easily find a place for luggage and have spare space, comfortable beds, air conditioning for summer time and radiators for winter time, hot water in the shower, clean overall, good breakfast, nice English speaking personnel, they readily agreed to change our rooms when asked to, no fuss, no struggle. Very central, easy to get around the city.

Some rooms on first floor have a sewage odor. If unlucky, ask for another room, perhaps on a different floor, and you will get it immediately, if they have it available.

I stayed this hotel two weeks for business and so far it is my favorite hotel around Norte Dame Cathedral. The staffs were all quite friendly, several metro stations were able to reach within 3-5 minutes walk, and it is close to several famous touristic places. The breakfast was changed (a bit) everyday. The room was kept in very good condition and have been renovated in a modern style.

The building itself is old and sometimes electricity doesn’t work properly. Once all the rooms in a floor lost the electrical power for 10-15 minutes, although staffs fixed this problem quickly. Also the lift was so slow and stairs were faster, so I often chose to take the stairs.

no issues with hotel if you go it’s a perfect hotel , value for money . sadly we will never return . not safe using Metro from airport to hotel my advice Get A Taxi . never felt so scared & vulnerable . Husband had wallet stollen , daughter had zip bag undone , someone in her pockets . Driving licence stolen . 3 day stay .Jan 2023 read up on Paris scams before go we had looking back been targets several times , cup on floor trick by children -pickpockets , deaf dumb wanting money - don’t stop for they pick pocket you . money states online used for trafficking . use indoor ATM , carry little cash . No police available , train staff don’t want to know . if you go put money cards in your boots , or in your bra . Daytime at 15.50 .

We didn't have breakfast in the hotel...we went out to the surrounding cafes for breakfast. The location was great for getting around Paris...near metro station and train station. Local restaurants were great...we tried a different one each evening.

The weather.

Perfect location in the Latin Quarter! We walked (a lot) to the main sightseeing points (Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Notre Dame, Eiffel tower, Marais neighborhood) from the hotel. It's also very close to different metro lines, bus, and train stations. Nice breakfast with savory and sweet choices (the croissants are delicious). Excellent attention from all the staff (especial mention to the guy attending during breakfast hours) <3

There's a bar downstairs and it can be a bit noisy during the weekend. If you are a light sleeper I recommend ear plugs!

The room size was correct. I always appreciate when you have windows you can open to ventilate a bit in the morning for example and it was possible with this room. Tha isolation for noise wasn't perfect but for us it was ok, not a big deal. We made our check-in almost 00 hr am and our check-out at 10 hr so it was only to sleep but the service was correct and fast to make check-in and check-out. I totally recommend this hotel.

Honestly I had low expectations for this hotel and I was very pleasantly surprised. The neighborhood around the hotel is loud and boisterous, but the hotel was quiet and peaceful. The room was bigger than I expected, the bed was very comfortable, the wifi signal was strong, and the bathroom was small but nice. Very easy access to the RER train to/from CDG, and within easy walking distance of many major attractions and the Metro.

The cleaning products used in the room smelled very strong - I had to open the window to air the room out as soon as I arrived.
