The location was central to many sites we wanted to visit. Our television did not work the first day and it was replaced after the staff was notified on the second day. The internet was slow, only 2 people could fit in the elevators, 1 person if there was luggage, and while the hotel was spotlessly clean, the entry way was dated. Our suite was beautiful and the view from the 7th floor was breathtaking. The bedding was of great quality and the bed was the best we had as we traveled across Europe. The house keeping staff were excellent at their craft, as were the front desk staff. There was an African American gentleman whonwent above and beyind to share information about restaurants and their menu and the manager called several restaurants to determine their menu. We were very pleased with our stay.

At the price point we paid, everything in the room should have worked with precision.l prior to our arrival. The towel warmer was not functional and television did not work until it was replaced the following day. The carpet was shedding in the bedroom area. Despite our compromises, we were charged for the use of the mini bar even though we were not told there was a charge for it's use.

Loved the location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very nice. We got an upgrade to a room with a small balcony which was nice. Breakfast was good. Hotel spotless.

The only thing was the lift which in true French style was tiny but we got use to it!

Quiet, convenient location. Well trained staff, and comfortable and quiet room. Just the right size hotel, thoughtfully renovated within an old building.

The tables in the dining/breakfast room are too close together, and of awkward design.

It's a well-wrought hotel with effortless left bank style. The staff is warm, welcoming and very helpful. The hotel I normally stay at was fully booked, so I tried Hotel Montalembert for a change and felt it was money well-spent.

The only thing I'm not keen on is its location. The location is very convenient for sight-seeing (Musee d'Orsay, Musee Rodin, Louvre etc), if one is unfamiliar with Paris, and visiting the sights high on one's agenda. There is also a grocery store right across from the hotel. While it does offer this level of convenience, this location (from my pov) is sterile and less residential than what I personally prefer. it lacks the charm and energy of the Saint Germain I know.

The Montalembert is brilliantly located to explore attraction and shops on the rive gauche as well as museums on the other side. Staff is very helpful with parking, bags, shopping, restaurant suggestions and bookings. The hotel is charming with rooms on the small side (but it’s Paris after all;-) and well equipped. We had a lovely view over the roofs of Paris to the garden courtyard of SciencePo which was a treat (a converted cloister). The chimes of the next door church - at 9:00am very civilised - were magical.

Breakfast is a bit so so and better coffee from a proper machine would be a huge improvement.

Great location, lovely neighbourhood with chic shops & places to eat. We were able to easily walk to the Louvre & the Tuileries, got a Seine boat trip from the Pont Neuf. Very central.

We knew before booking that the restaurant does not offer dinner but we were a bit disappointed that the bar was closed at 10 pm on a Saturday. We were offered drinks on room service.

The hotel and staff were tremendous. Everyone was so welcome and accommodating. The hotel was spotless and the rooms very thoughtfully designed. The neighborhood was convenient to major attractions but tucked amid a lovely residential area.

The hotel has a cosy neighbourhood feel. We always stay on the Rive Gauche and the Montalembert is our first choice.

The service at the restaurant/bar is a bit hit and miss. Like in a lot of places in France the coffee is awful and should be avoided. For coffee aficionados the little Noir chain has a place around the corner.

staff was great. very nice outdoor terrace for drinks and a bite. a lite sleeper i was happy to find it quiet. convenient location

room was a little small but not unusual for Paris. not an issue for me at all, but if you are a large person, you may have a hard time fitting into the small elevators. there are also stairs so you can get your cardio on!

Lovely boutique hotel in perfect location for shopping and visiting Paris, metro station around the corner… room was really nice and bedding amazing, we stayed there for our wedding anniversary and the staff was particularly nice and friendly!

staff seemed a bit overwhelmed at breakfast… we weren’t allowed to sit by window where a table was set for next customers because it was for 4 people, although it was really the end of breakfast and nobody sat there after… so had to wait for another table to be cleaned and set for us, in a not as nice place…
