If you like old-school elegance, then this place is for you - there's an embarrassment of riches in dark wood and marble. Regardless, it's done with taste and distinction. The rooms aren't huge, but spacious enough as left bank hotels go. Super comfy bed and the rooms are surprisingly quiet given the busy location. Speaking of which, you can't beat it, as central as you can get. I usually stay at the Montalembert next door (or its sister hotel the Bel Ami) but in the middle of a pandemic, in off-season February, the price differential was so off the charts I decided to try the Pont Royal and wasn't disappointed. I found the staff to be excellent - pleasant, professional and super-efficient.

The wifi kinda sucked. In 2022 a person could expect something more zippy than a paltry 2.5mpbs. The room was overheated and turning the heat down or completely off had no effect.

The Hotel is truly a 5 Star experience. We had been here previously for one night and later in the same year booked 4. Our room was the penthouse, it has an unbelievable patio to watch the Eiffel Tour change continuously day and night. You can also see Sacré Coure lite up beautifully on the north end of the city. The room is not large by American standards but you must recall, this is Paris! We used the refrigerator to chill various foods and cheeses. The staff by the way is 5+ old world sincere and dignified. They truly enjoy serving your needs! Try Room 801! It will be a memorable experience it you love Paris!

In an age of mediocrity and faux luxuries real manners and elegance is hard to aspire to. But, the Pont Royal not only meets these exceptional expectations but in direct relationships to their staff - exceeds it. We personally stayed in the Penthouse, Room 801. I would say we are not spoiled “penthouse people” by a long shot, but rather respectful travelers used to more humble accommodations. However, if you want to experience some of the best that Paris can offer then I suggest you look no further and book here. The view of the Eiffel on one side and Sacre Cour on the other is timeless beauty and enduring Parisian class from our balcony. Welcome to a hotel that can assist you to experience the greatest city on Earth!

Absolutely nothing.

THE STAFF! The staff was amazing. Very helpful. I lost my passport and they helped me navigate printing my forms. The location was amazing and very central to the Saint Germain-Des-Pres neighborhood. The Louvre and Musee D'Orsay were walking distance as well a couple train stations. The room was spacious enough and had A/C. We were able to have drinks and coffee on our little balcony during our stay as well.

The only thing I thought was missing was a "business center". I did not anticipate needing one but I did. Thankfully the staff was very helpful and more than compensated in my situation.

Near Orsay Museum, Saint-Germain etc - very good location. Air-conditioning - very good, silent, easy to change temperature, open or close. One of the best we had ever met. Nice convenient room and the bathroom. Still, the room was called "chambre de luxe", although there were no exceptional luxury there.

Noisy surrounding, so higher floors are strongly recommended. 25% price difference between our first night and the second one. None of them was a part of the weekend. We were badly surprised while paying the bill. The room bar was empty.

Everything. Perfect location, a walk from Louvre, Saint Germain, etc, with the best staff ever. I had the best experience at my stay in Paris, my room was also beautiful, facing the Eiffel tower and Montmartre, I could also see the obelisc from Place de la Concorde and the top of the Triumph Arch from my balcony. The staff is the nicest and more helpful ever, they also provide with the best service in town. I am sure I will be back.

Great Location! Friendly and very welcoming staff. Rooms clean and comfy. Nice touches such as welcome notes, TV personalisation and a room introduction by staff that made us feel welcomed and comfortable.

Perhaps it was just our room but there were industrious noises from below our room leading into early hours? Not sure if laundry were below us...? or kitchens? Although we were so tired in the evenings from city walks etc its wasn't awful. But would be noisy when many would be settling to sleep which may result in some to highlight/mention/complain i'm sure...? But we would go back and recommend to friends regardless. Thank you!

Wonderful location, medium to small hotel with very good service. Easy check-in and check-out. The staff is always available to help. Quiet environment even in a bustling area of the city. Large rooms and bathroom, with a very well-thought vanity countertop that helps keep a traveller’s personal items organized. Security handles on the bathtub improves safety coming in and out of the bathtub.

The classical european bathtub with no shower curtain. The glass that divides the bathtub and the sink is very small, which makes the use of the overhead shower a challenge. One has to be very creative in order not to soak the bathroom.

The hotel staff were wonderful to deal with. They were always friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and we were able to request a fan with helped keep it cool at night. The view was amazing. The hotel was easy walking distance to public transportation and museums.

The only issue we had was that the bathtub was not easy to get in and out of.

The staff was extremely professional and friendly. The hotel was in a great location, easy to get to and from sights we wanted to see. Walking distance to delightful cafes and shops. The experience was reminiscent of the glory days of travel where you truly felt welcomed and cared for by a staff who were glad to see you!
