Shamin, the receptionist was very very helpful and friendly - we are disappointed we forgot to give him a tip :( He gave us a free upgrade given that it was our 25th wedding anniversary. He also moved quickly on rectifying the bad smell in our room - see below.

There was a musty smell in our bedroom on entry. The smell got worse over night - we think this was because of the air conditioning, a technician rectifed the issue. I feel it would have been beneficial on arrival, if we were told breakfast time, that there was a sitting area between reception and the breakfast room and a toilet in the breakfast area. I just happened upon these myself. There was a pane of glass from the bathroom to the bedroom and so when someone put on the bathroom light, the bedroom would get illuminated - very shocking in the middle of the night. The cover on the shower tray plug hole is a real slip hazard as it moves as soon as you step on it - don't know how this could be rectified.

Location is quite central to the key paris attractions (about 30 mins walk away to River Seine). Room was very clean and quiet. Air-condition kept us cool during the summer with the windows closed. There is a little balcony attached to our room to enjoy coffee and croissants in the nice summer weather. Street outside seemed safe and we did not encounter any form of anti-social behaviour during our stay. Convenient supermarket right beside the hotel that opens until 12 midnight on weekdays. Cleaning team were very friendly and polite throughout our stay there. We also left our lugggages at the hotel after check-out to do more sight-seeing for the day.

Toilet and shower room size was a little small. I would have difficulty getting in and out for toilet business if I were a plus-size.

The hotel is situated across the road from gare d'lest and so access to the metro is amazing. There are also plenty of nice restaurants and cafes around including a brilliant bakery across the road, and a Asian place called yummy Asian which is brilliant. Check in was super easy and quick and the rooms were a little on the smaller side but came with a balcony and the usual amenities. The room came with a option to connect to the TV via Chromecast which is great for you to watch your own videos/playlist.

My only real complaint is that the mattress was quite soft/ felt like sand and the Aircon in the room was absolutely pitiful.

Stayed in the hotel 4days 3 nights.Love the location because of close proximity to Gare du Nord train station (about 6-8 mins walk)if you are traveling via Eurostar and Gare de Lest station (about 3 min walk).

The rooms are not soundproofed. You can literally hear people talking or walking outside the corridor ,doors slammed and loud noises alike.Lucky you if your neighbouring rooms are not loud people shouting,knocking on each other rooms and children playing running along the corridor on the middle of the night which was really frustrating if youre trying to take a good night rest.Also ,you hear a not so distinct sound from underground not sure but maybe the trains.If you are located on the top floor,the noise from underground is manageable but if first floor you can really hear it .

Amazing location!…right next to major stations and an even closer metro station directly downstairs from the hotel.Lots of food options and supermarket also downstairs. Extremely clean and well maintained rooms.Great hot water in the shower. appreciated that your given a room key card that you can take out with you..for some reason too many hotels in Paris are making you leave the key behind every time you leave which is super annoying so really appreciated this. lovely staff who all speak excellent English.Very kind and friendly at reception.

Very good location. Close to the train station. Staff were great, Shamim on the front counter was brilliant and a excellent host, he helped us immensely when we got stuck with some tickets and was extremely helpful the whole time. Rooms were very clean and modern. We chose a room with a city view, it was a little more noisy (which we were warned of by Shamim when given the option) if you’re sensitive to noise bring some ear plugs or if given the choice choose the other side of the building. We enjoyed the view of the grand rail station even with the noise.

The hotel is very convenient to the Gare de l'Est train station and metro. The room was a decent size, the bathroom had a large shower. There was a small fridge in the room, nice surprise. There is a small lounge area on the main floor. The elevators are small, can't fit more than 2 adults with 2 pieces of luggage, but it did the job. There is a grocery store next door, several fast food places on the same street.

There was a lot of construction noise during the day, a building next door has work going on right now (Dec 2022). The train/metro must run under the hotel, there was a low rumble that occurred frequently.

The room was clean, in new condition, had a balcony with a view. Better yet there was a fridge and kettle with is rare for France. It meant I could make tea. It was also spacious for France. I am so happy to find a hotel in Paris that I will return to and can confidently recommend friends to go to. It’s so close to Gare du Lyon, and not far from Gare du Nord either. Neighbourhood is also close to the wonderful canals of Paris. There’s also a lift so no need to drag heavy suitcases up tiny staircases. This hotel is clearly one targets travellers from US/UK/Australia/NZ who are more comfortable with these sorts of hotels.

This is minor, but my room was right near the cupboard for housekeeping so you could hear them setting up in the morning for their duties. Not their fault and I respect the work of housekeeping but the architects are the ones who did not think this design feature through. Honestly though I loved my stay here and if this is the ‘didn’t like’ it means it’s a good hotel.

Really well located very close to Gare du Nord. Staff are really nice including breakfast staff, really lovely Ukranian girl who is super efficient with the breakfasts. It's become my favourite hotel in Paris as I find it really cosy. The TV is nice and quite big too and it's nice to have tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is very good too. You can also request a balcony which gives superb view on Gare de L'Est The Yummy restaurant just opposite is lovely as is the boulangerie.

The only thing a bit inconvenient is the ambulances noises at night but it is to be expected in central Paris.

This is a vey stylish and clean hotel in the heart of the city, a stones throw away from one of the buzzing areas to drink and dine ( Rue Fauberg / St Denis). The room, although compact is well laid out and chic and has everything one needs. The shower pressure and heat was also very good, the bathroom is also compact and a tight fit. The location is excellent for public transport to everywhere in Paris and is a short walk from the Eurostar Gare du Nord railway station. Also opposite an excellent patisserie.
