For us, this was the perfect location. Close enough to Gare du Nord that we could arrive in Paris and just walk to the hotel. Lovely evening walk from the hotel for dinner and then a loop around for a view of the Eiffel Tower on our way back to the hotel. The reception staff were excellent - especially the man on duty when we arrived, very helpful and friendly. Our rooms, as requested, were right opposite each other. Very clean, comfortable, just a little warm! (But obviously that's Paris in August!) Breakfast was good. Overall a happy stay!

Just the temperature of the bedrooms - and one bed was a bit tucked into a crazy corner and so not the most comfortable. These were not big issues, just the reason why this wasn't a 9 or 10.

Good location for baggage drop off from Gare du Nord. Staff at the desk spoke good English and we were offered complimentary breakfast leftover from the earlier guests when we arrived at 10.30am (for check in later that afternoon). Room had everything we needed including free safe. Spare blankets and pillows, desk fan, complimentary tea/ coffee and toiletry miniatures. Street map and helpful advice given to us. We'd made a request for a room feature and this was honoured.

Shower cubicle door only covered ⅔ of the gap, so lots of splashes of water on the bathroom floor. Lift is **TINY** even as a couple we struggled to fit in that close to each other!!

The hotel was located in very nice area with only couple minutes to metrostation and about 30 minutes walking to Louvre. There was a supermarket close by and good looking restaurants around. Hotel was quiet and located to a side street, so quite little traffic, but the walls are thin and all the sounds do carry over. The staff, specially the lady during daytime, were super nice and accommodaiting. Hotel was clean, bathroom newly renowated and bed comfortable. Room was not big, but fit us two and our stuff perfectly. There were very good curtains to block out the light. For us it was perfect that we could choose if we wanted our room to be cleaned or not, since we don't need clean sheets every day. The elevator is super small, but we were happy to have one in the hotel and we did fit two people with small bags in it.

Located a short walk from the Gare de l'Est, this hotel was moderately priced compared to others in the area. A bit farther from the main part of the city, so not a terribly busy area, which we liked. There were quite a few bars/restaurants close by. Also a grocery store nearby. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty standard. The front desk staff were fantastic. We traveled during some transportation strikes, but we called the hotel in advance and they were a) very informative about the situation and b) very understanding and offered a refund in the event that we couldn't reach Paris by train that day. We ended up having only a few transportation problems (a few metro lines were not running, but we ultimately had no problem reaching Versailles, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and other spots all over the city).

There were 4 or 5 old mattresses piled in the lobby/bar area. Also, we attempted to grab a couple drinks at the hotel bar one night. They had no white wine. No vodka. Only one beer and some red wine. So we decided to venture out and try elsewhere (found a great bar down the street a few minutes' walk away!).

The location is very central and provides easy access to public transport and major tourist sites. The hotel is old but nice and clean and staff is helpful. There are many nice cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood which can please a range of tastes.

The only downside of the area is that cafes and restaurants are more expensive due to its central location. However, the location is convenient for a short stay, particularly if one has an early morning travel as it is at a walking distance to Gare du Nord where Eurostar and all trains to the airports run.

The room was clean and it was tastefully decorated. It was set in a street with nice old houses with balconies. The breakfast was good. The staff at breakfast were attentive and continually replacing things.

I found the mattress uncomfortable. I could feel the springs. I am more sensitive than the average person though and I realise that mattresses are sometimes a matter of personal preference. My husband did not notice any problem.

The location and price point were a great match for us. We took the train from London to Gare du Nord and walked over to the hotel. The surrounding cafes and eateries were wonderful. The view from the balcony was charming. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, and graciously spoke English for us in providing instructions and recommendations. The breakfast selection, quaint seating, and staff were marvelous. We would highly recommend the hotel to friends and family.

We had wished there was a small refrigerator or ice bucket/machine to keep beverages and snacks cool.

Very clean , comfortable bed, great lighting and ability to open window for fresh air. Staff was very helpful as well. Close to public transportation and major train station.

It was a little warm due to the lack of air conditioning. Location was very quiet and many things and restaurants around were closed due to weekend.

Light breakfast with a variety of breads and meats were part of the room. The staff in there was very attentive to the guests. The window to our room opened up like french doors with an awesome flower box just outside of our 2nd story room, overlooking the street. It was very picturesque!! The front desk staff were so helpful and informative.

I would like to have had a coffee/latte/cappuccino machine in the building. It doesn't have to be free.

Amazing location, easy access to everything via walking/gare du nord round the corner. Lovely helpful staff, rooms clearly newly refurbished + clean and comfortable. Amazing shower.

Personal preference but the rooms which have been refurbished and painted to a high standard have lost a bit of their French charm E.g. no original features and very functional white and magnolia. This is personal preference, just prefer a more characterful room to fit in with the style of the property.
