A very impressive hotel set in beautiful grounds. On arrival we were impressed - through a gated entrance up a drive to a spacious secure car park. There was a row of Tesla chargers for those those with electric vehicles. The gardens were beautiful and we enjoyed a wander past the large ponds with swans and ducks. We made use of the swimming pool which was well presented and had good changing facilities. All the rooms have names and ours was 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Whoever had designed the room was very talented and we enjoyed it’s features - we took several photos. The room had an electric shutter, air conditioning, remote control lights and a fridge - the only thing we would have liked was tea/coffee facilities. There was a high end restaurant on site. Overall very impressive.

Nothing to dislike

Beautiful old building with many quirky features. Our bedroom had been tastefully renovated to include original features. The grounds were lovely and just right for walking the dog. Although the restaurant was closed that night, there was a simple menu available which was delicious. Breakfast was again to order and came in linen clad baskets served to the table. The bathroom was very small but for one night it didn’t matter. Super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was easily found off the motorway.

The hotel is a transformed and expanded old farmhouse. The guest rooms have been build on former farmland. The transfomation has been done with style and respect for the socio-economic and cultural character of the area. The entrance lane makes is a time capsule that makes one return to the beginning of the 20th. century. The indoor pool and the garden terraces looked lovely, but the January weather did not allow us to really enjoy them. The rooms were spacious

Dinner choices were limited,, but the excellent wine list compensated for that. The menu's had a French touch but they were not really 'creative' and lacked some refinement. If the idea was to serve the guests dishes as they used to be prepared in this rural area, then is was a joI well done. The bathroom lacked a ceiling. it was just next to the sleeping area, So at night, when one went to the bathroom and turned on the light, the bathroom lights also illuminated the sleeping room, which was not alway appreciated by my partner. Just outside the entry gate, there was a busy hypermarket and departmentstore space.

Great service. Charming staff, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely room with doors onto a terrace, overlooking the gardens. It was called A La Recherche Du Temps Perdu and decorated with old clocks! Indoor pool. The food was delicious with evidence of a talented, ambitious chef, but therefore pricey. The menu was 50 euros, although one could have had one course for 24 euros.

Would have really appreciated tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Would have liked one simpler option on the menu.

Fabulous meal in the restaurant, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with the option to have it brought to your room. Beautiful grounds to walk in with lakes. Comfortable bed.Great location for an overnight stop, just off the motorway.

The room was a bit dark due to the lack of a window but we were able to open the blind on the door which led to an outdoor patio area. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which would have been nice.

Exceptional room. Very nice breakfast. Bit disappointed on our first night dinner because we had to have the foreshortened menu but this was more than made up for by the second night when we were treated to a superb meal.

Fair to say that there was no aspect of our stay which disappointed. The staff were friendly and kind without exception and we would recommend a stay to any foodies such as ourselves !

This was a "spur of the moment" booking en-route from Northern Spain to Brittany and so glad we happened here. Although the restaurant was closed at the time of our arrival our hosts provided an excellent home prepared meal for us. All members of the Hotel staff were so keen to assist and make our stay so very comfortable, a real pleasure. We will definitely make an effort to book again when next in the area. The Hotel boasts a really pleasant garden with wildlife and a couple of well thought out ponds.

Nothing we can think of.

Very quirky but good. I upgraded to a superior room on the ground floor which had a small private terrace with table and benches. Lovely extensive grounds and excellent for dog. Easy to find just off autoroute. Close to supermarket for fuel and stocking up for next days picnic.

Rather disappointed in the dinner - I was off season - May 24, and choice was very limited - main I chose was a cold plate of half a breast of chicken with a little (2 small slices of BBQ'd rhubabr and 2 BBQ'd half slices of courgette and some quite pleasant sauce. Yoy were encouraged to have both dinner and breakfast in your room - I don't think they had a serving staff! or perhaps even a chef on duty. Towels were small and quite hard.

This themed room hotel was quirky and memorable. We had a night in what was a very upmarket Beach Hut. The grounds have a quantity of Rabbits running around and Swans on the lakes as well as a resident Heron The restaurant overlooks the lakes and serves amazing food. The breakfast basket you have to preorder is unusual but very good. Rachel who met us when we cycled up was very welcoming and a credit to the Hotel. She found and made an appointment for us with a local bike shop to have a replacement component fitted to my bike the next morning.

A real oasis of calm just off the motorway!! A very quirky hotel which was obviously renovated in the 70/80s but was fun and a real experience. The food was unexpectedly fantastic with several additional courses that we weren’t expecting. Value for money.

A bit dated and our room: 20000 lieus sur la mer had a few too many submarine themed additions eg the tap mechanism was located under the sink and the fridge was a huge steel clad box!! A relatively large room but space wasted for lots of steel clad decoration. Very quirky though and a real experience!
