I am travelling quite a lot and think nowadays it is actually quite hard to find middle priced good hotels. Hotel Steglitz is maybe a bit old fashioned, but it is good in many ways. Most important thing for me was that Hotel Steglitz was clean and I think the level of cleaning was very very good. Unfortunately not so common nowadays. I hope the hotel will keep the level. The bathroom was also very well organised. Also not so common nowadays I think. Shelving, shower, body wash, towels etc. worked well. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Minibar was nice. Lightning was good and my room was quiet.

Maybe the location could be a bit better but then on the other hand the U-bahn station and bus stop are locating just next to hotel.

We appreciated so many things about this hotel! First, the position is very good because you have U-bahn, buses and S-bahn very close to the location. The hotel had very large halls and rooms. Everything is clean and the cleaning service changes towels on a daily basis, also they do a room cleaning. The beds are very comfortable. We all received Haribo on the beds upon arrival. You also have places to eat nearby. People are also welcoming and help you with information, if needed. The hotel is open 24/7.

We liked everything. I don't know how it is in summer since they don't have any air conditioning, as we saw, but for us the stay was perfect.

I have stayed at the Hotel Steglitz International a number of times, largely because it is a good hotel in a location near where I once lived and still have friends. But it is a good location for visiting other locations in Berlin as well, as it is only a black from S-Bahn and an U-Bahn stations that will whisk you into the city (or out of it, for that matter). Plus, there are many shops, stores, and restaurants within walking distance. The staff also were very helpful, changing our room to one we preferred and providing extra towels quickly.

In the first room we were given, the windows would not tilt in from the top, but would only swing open (you need to understand European windows to get what I mean), but upon my request, we were given a room where the windows did work properly.

We liked the size of the room, especially the bathroom. You couldn't hear outside noise even though it's in a busy area. The lounge was nice and service was good. Close to transit bus was in front of hotel and train was just around the corner.

I didn't like that the hotel didn't have its own parking. What parking we found was under a bridge for 10 euro per night. Have to drag luggage across a street to get to hotel. Breakfast was too expensive to get at hotel, other areas within a close range offer cheaper good options.

Clean rooms. Breakfast was really good. You could choose whatever you liked, the food was fresh every morning. Friendly staff. Comfortable location. 12-15 minutes far from the city centre. Underground very near.

It would be handy if at the reception desk you could check the train timetable and where to catch the train to reach the Airport for your return trip.

Location was good, not central to Berlin, but public transport was good (not great since the U-bahn station was temporarily closed). Mostly helpful staff, the room was clean and quiet.

Free wifi was sub-par, wasn't possible to connect at all the first couple of days and had to speak to staff on two occasions before they 'restarged the router' or whatever. Cell coverage was poor, which made lack of wifi worse. AC in our room was acting up a bit but we never alerted the staff.

in the proximity of the hotel (50-100 meters or less), you can find anything you want: Edeka (supermarket), farmacies, bakery, DM store (retail store with cosmetics and healthcare items), a temporary market (art, antiques, food and seasonal specials), a mall, the metro station (U9), S-Bahn station (S1), restaurants chic boutiques on Scossstrasse and more. This is extremely convenient. Although the view from the window was uninspired, facing an ugly and huge under construction building, it was preferable to a street view since it was very quiet. Breakfast was of a good standard with wide selection.

The wi-fi is not reliable. however, I was pleased that I could use the business center with a special network for video conferencing and it worked just fine. I was a bit disheartened by the building itself and the very busy, noisy, built-up area, the view from the window (an inner courtyard with a look over a terrible building in construction). the hotel needs a refresh of decor.

Although Steglitz is not in the centre of Berlin, the location turned out to be perfect - I enjoyed exploring part of the city I had not visited before (plenty of shops, places to eat, museums, and other attractions) while access to the centre and airport via public transport was quick and easy. Friendly and helpful staff, impressive interiors, and good-sized room - I'm amazed this hotel is so reasonably priced.

I prefer to use the stairs in hotels, but it only seemed possible to walk down using the stairs - when I wanted to return to my room, the only option seemed to be using the lift?

Lovely big room, cleaner came every day, shampoo/soap/towels provided, great location, metro station opposite, supermarket next door and coffee shops/restaurants close by. Everything in walking distance. Breakfast was great plenty of choice 15 euros each.

Tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice in the room. There was a separate coffee room on floor 2 however which charged 1 euro per drink. One pillow which was flat.
