Beautiful setting - I had a room overlooking the Rheine - stunning view!! room was spacious with TV and sky channels. There was a view of the Rheine from both the bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The balcony from bedroom had 2 chairs and a small table. Amazing view to wake up to. Lovely to walk along the Rheine and 10 mins to nearest pier for tour cruises. Breakfast is buffet style in dining room with breathtaking views. Good selection of continental breakfast - meat, cheese etc. Lovely coffee shops 5 mins walk from hotel too.

The free mini bar was over-rated. Two bottles of beer, one small bottle of water, Pepsi and orang3 juice. I stayed two nights but the mini bar wasn’t replenished. Bed was okay but could’ve been more comfortable. Also - there is no shuttle service from the airport as advertised on website.

Best overall experience we had out of 5 hotels in 4 countries. Classically elegant hotel oozes charm. Breakfast was also the best we experienced, and we stayed in some very upscale hotels along the way. Exceptional property and a bit unexpected to be honest. Amazing history and location. We only stayed one night on a long road trip but are now going to rebook for next year for a longer stay.

On site restaurant fully booked and we had to dine elsewhere. Patrons looked to be upscale locals mixed with guests. With the fabulous dining room and views overlooking the Reine River combined with an excellent menu, I can see why the large venue was sold out on a Friday night. Rooms not as luxurious as in other hotels we stayed at but more than adequate. A property you could stay happily at for a much longer duration.

The Hotel has a great history with lots of famous people having stayed there, look it up on the internet, it's really interesting. It's clean and tidy, there is an underground car park opposite which was handy for two motorcycles overnight. Staff were friendly despite my basic German. We came across the Rhine on the ferry from Konigswinter and its a short distance from there to the Hotel, easy if you're using the A3 Autobahn. I would gladly return in the future.

The room faced a small internal courtyard so there was no view, although in fairness this was mentioned before booking, I think a Rhine view may be more expensive. There is no internal bar, we used a small lounge and ordered drinks from one of the staff. The breakfast would have been 21 Euros each so we made other arrangements.

A hotel situated right on the Rhein River with a lovely attached biergarten. The common areas look a little dated, but the room itself seemed to have been renovated recently. We were able to easily rent bikes right from the hotel and ride along the river, and the later check out time of noon was very much appreciated.

The elevator was from a different era and did not inspire confidence.

No help with carrying the luggage to the room. Bathroom door translucent / no curtain, so if you put the light on in the bathroom, the light shines to the bedroom part. Although the breakfast was tasty, I would still consider 21 EUR a bit expensive for the choices offered (maple syrup was empty and not refilled).

Breakfast buffet was excellent. Plenty of choices.

What I didn’t like was the steps into the hotel entrance. With 2 suitcases and no help, it was challenging. Equally challenging the dividing glass doors in the second floor, they should open automatically so one can get thru with 2 suitcases easily.

Stayed 4 nights, Rooms clean, people are friendly. Breakfast was good, amazing view from restaurant. Our view from the hotel room was not great. We stayed at this hotel as it was closer to our family who live near by.

Separate duvet covers on a double bed, funny smell in the bathroom. Rooms are very basic

The location and views are fantastic. It’s an old hotel with real character. The staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant was very nice too.

The only negative I can think of is no coffee or tea in the room.

Breakfast, room and location, everything was perfect.

We were there in May and now we were looking forward to a new visit in the Biergarten, but it was closed. We were quite disappointed about this and we did not get any explanation.

We spent the night after our wedding here. We got much personal attention such as rose leaves on our bed and a bottle of sparkling wine and pralines as a gift. The stuff was very friendly and helpful special wishes were fullfilled easily. Great view on the Siebengebirge. IMHO the best Hotel near Bonn.
