The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel was located in a great location convenient to multiple restaurants and shops. All of these were within walking distance. The room was very clean and a great size. The bed was comfortable. Even though the hotel did not have private parking, there were 2 parking areas convenient to the hotel that were reasonably priced.

The hotel does not have air conditioning. I anticipate that this would not normally be a problem. It was unseasonably warm while we were staying there and therefore nighttime was pretty uncomfortable even though the windows were open and a fan was provided.

Fantastic location, by the river, very convenient for river cruises, close to bars/restaurants/shops and only a 10 minute walk from the train station. We wanted to book a balcony room but there were none left. However, the hotel has a lovely terrace on the first floor at the front of the hotel with views over the river and Cochem Castle. Our room was nice and clean and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom/shower. The breakfast room was very nicely decorated with a cool pastel colour scheme and comfortable modern furniture. Really good choice of breakfast items, including one glass of sparkling wine per guest each morning if you fancied one! The family who own the hotel also have a vineyard and the sparkling wine served at breakfast is their own wine and it’s very nice! The hotel also has its own wine shop downstairs, under the breakfast room, so it’s nice and easy to buy a chilled bottle of Reisling from there to enjoy on the terrace! Very reasonably priced wine too. Blonde lady who worked on reception was very friendly and helpful when we asked for advice about river cruises.

The man who worked on reception was not the most welcoming or customer-orientated. He looked bored, like he didn’t want to be there! I wouldn’t have wanted to ask him for any advice about the local area as I would have felt I was inconveniencing him. Not the best choice for front of house/reception staff. If I was being slightly picky - The communal terrace, although it had beautiful views, and comfy seating with tables, it could do with a bit of TLC. Wooden floor needed cleaning/sweeping. I don’t think it was checked or cleaned very often.

Location was superb. Room had view of the river, and its own balcony, from which there was a wonderful view of the Castle. Not air conditioned, but fans were provided in the rooms and lovely cool breeze of an evening off the river. Staff very friendly. Good value for money.

Shower is a little tight for a 6'2", 110kg bloke, but not a major issue. Hotel Parking is not onsite, but at a parking area about 5-10 minute walk away. Although there is 1/2 hour only parking out front, and conveniently can use it for pick up and drop off. So again not a major concern.

location, staff and breakfast...

nothing...all is superb

Awesome staff - super helpful and always full of culinary ideas and delights. Excellent breakfast/meals - they are one of the best restaurants in town and that’s obvious when you see the well crafted breakfast buffet and selection of drinks. pretty much everything is fresh everyday. Try the spezial Flammkuchen for a snack - really yummy. Best location - right in the heart of town at the river bank with clear views of the castle on several balconies & the decorated 1st floor veranda. We stopped here on the last day of a long road trip from Italy and it turned out to be better value for money than many of the places we had stayed at in more exotic locations on that trip. I plan to be back here just to chill over an autumn weekend.

The bathroom could be more modern but that’s high level nit-picking because the supplies were great and it was cosy.

This place was more than just a hotel - it’s location on the river was fantastic, the breakfast and cake shop were awesome, the surprise gluewein evening was huge with people coming from everywhere to join in (was approx 1 week before Christmas) and the staff were really lovely. It was just the perfect stay!

While it was in the middle of the energy crisis in Germany the room could have been warmer - but the bathroom was really warm and we slept like babies - so a very minor issue!

Great Location, Amazing view from Balcony, decent breakfast, comfy room, Very informative/helpful staff, Not to forget the free wine testing event for the guests with lots of useful information about various wines and it´s history.

The elevator is quite small so be mindful of bringing all your luggage up/down. Check in Support by staff is only upto 18:00 hrs local time which might be a challenge depending on the time you arrive.

Amazing location Good breakfast

Check in wasn’t great Gentleman on check in wasn’t sure if room was ready and told me I could take the key and look myself which I thought strange. Parking is a bit complicated to find they didn’t provide map the gentleman just put into google maps for us - I think a little bit more explanation would help

The breakfast was excellent. The choices covered everything and all of the items were fresh, and replaced quickly if they were running out. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Overall is just simply superb! The hotel locates in the heart of Cochem old town, therefore it's around 1 min to everything you need. The cleanliness is very good. Equipment's and amenities' qualities are also top! The staffs are also nice and helpful.

Because of the hotel is near by the town square, therefore it's a bit loud at midnight when the pub closed and drunken guys are walking by. Fortunately, it didn't last long.
