This is a lovely hotel, a short (20-30mins) walk out of town but nicely situated for walking around the rivers that come together to form the source of the Danube. We would have given it an even higher score if the kitchen had not been closed for refurbishment. If arriving by train, there is an hourly connection for the short journey from Donaueschingen station to Donaueschingen Allmendshofen - a request halt right next to the hotel.

Check in was easy, staff was friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful.

There are no grocery stores or many choices for restaurants within easy walking distance. You must drive. Bathrooms were small and old. No air conditioning; it was almost 32 degrees Celsius (90 Fahrenheit) when we visited, so it was a little uncomfortable

Very cozy place with everything needed for a good vacation in the area between Black Forest, Danube, and Switzerland. Very friendly and very helpful staff. The restaurant is very good, too - no non-sense fusion food but back to the roots flavors from the German outback with a twist.

Nothing noteworthy

Nice new and clean hotel on outskirts of town. Room was comfortable and well designed, and breakfast as outstanding (full buffet with eggs to order and amazing mueseli bar with nuts; fruits, and two maple syrup!)

A bit of road noise with windows open, which is needed without AC. No kettle in room.

Fantastic welcome from the staff, who was so friendly! Rooms are spacious, and the breakfast was absolutely perfect !! The team managed to do our laundry overnight for an early departure, for our bicycle trip, thank you so much because it enabled us to avoid the rain on the bikes the next day !!

Everything was excellent

+ amazing breakfast + parking available + cozy room + bathroom + quiet location + the double bed was a real double bed (and not two single beds pushed together which resulted in a double bed with a gap between the two mattresses)

Needed to open windows for fresh air. Could hear some traffic and train noise very early in the morning.

Excellent accommodation, spotless. We liked the bedding and pillows. The staff is amiable and helpful; they helped us with some ice necessary for our products. Thank you for all!

Very nice surprise that the hotel restaurant menu includes plenty of vegetarian and even vegan choices- and not the usual ones either. Very nice breakfast.
