The hotel is located on a hill ,so there was no places close to it that can be reached on foot. Getting to the city center takes approximately 10 minutes by car.

You get a great view across Freiburg from your room but especially good when eating in restaurant. Staff were great...especially in the dining room. In fact all the cleaners and maintainance staff spoke and were pleasant. Breakfast a bit expensive but....it was outstanding. Parking a little tight but we did find somewhere every day.

Its a bit out of the centre so we needed our car to get around but in reality getting around Freiburg and car parking in the City weren't an issue and being out of the centre means you get that awesome view!

I made this booking on behalf of my brother and his wife who was travelling from Canada for our son’s wedding taking place at the hotel. The location was absolutely stunning. Everything about it was comfortable and spacious. Chez Eric was attentive to our every need as were all the restaurant staff. There was much to attend to especially with the wedding arrangements and everyone including the reception staff went out of their to help including ordering taxis, ensuring wedding flowers were kept cool and finding lost items among other things! The dinner served at the wedding was exceptional and received many compliments from the guests. We would love to return to have a one year anniversary stay at the Panorama next July.

Beautiful hotel with an incredible view overlooking the city. Rooms are super comfortable and have a balcony and a mini-fridge. Super comfortable bed. Very friendly staff that got our room ready for us early before we went out for a hike.

It is very out of the way so if you decide not to eat on property, its a long walk (or pricey cab ride) to town. Everything is overpriced - especially the restaurant, which we opted out of. Also apparently you are supposed to make reservations in advance to dine there even if you are a hotel guest - the staff were friendly and were going to squeeze us in but we opted for a fantastic meal at 1/3 the price in town.

The accommodation was wonderful, very clean, and the room was spacious enough, and the view from our room was amazing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Laundry items cost very expensive. We found travelling overseas to Europe from Australia there was no reasonably priced laundry facilities

Excellent location with views over Freiburg Nice rooms with own balcony and sun loungers nice indoor pool and sauna facilities Great with access to tennis court and rental of bikes - location next to forrest trials and nice routes for hiking and biking (to and back to city center)

restaurant was good but very expensive no restaurants near by so you need a car to get to city center

-beautiful hilltop view with access to trails behind -very spa like with pool and outer deck -bikes available for cycling -our room had a ground level patio

- should be aware that it is about 1 km to the old city and a selection of eating/shopping locations - the return walk has a good climb with a great trail as long as you enjoy walking - hotel restaurant was not open on Sundays

Very nice hotel with the best view of the city. The pool and sauna are good and open until midnight - that is a big bonus! The rooms are comfortable and the view from the balcony is very nice. The staff is friendly and always reachable. The restaurant is very nice, but rather expensive - it is however worth the price, if you are up to it.

Hotel is old but well maintained and renewed. balcony is great. perfect views. nice and quiet. very clean. Helpful staff. Very good establishment.

Two things: -Price: you have to pay 19 euro for breakfast and than extra 4 if you want an omelette and extra 8 for fresh orange juice. no more comments on that. -Roads: Driving in and out is very complicated. impossible without navigation. You can not move around without a car. Very isolated.

This is probably my 3rd time staying here and have always loved the pool and the Sauna. View from the Room’s Balcony is great as well.

I think the carpet and the air filter need to be cleaned, i had a bad allergic reaction during my stay and just kept on sneezing. also the sink in the bathroom had a smell coming out of it. 😕
