Really easy to find, just inside the main old city. Quiet with a first rate resteraunt as well. The staff were excellent, kind and friendly. The room was perfect. large, comfortable and clean as well as quiet. I wish I spent more time there, and will book on the way back to Scotland - to explore the town a bit more, and enjoy the finest hotel in town.

Little to fault really other than perhaps ... well.. actually. I cant think of a single thing. Breakfast was exactly as expected, rooms had no faults and the parking was easy - often troublesome in older hotels. So yup.. nothing negative to say.

Lovely old property full of character. Walking distance from the station and close to the town. The restaurant is excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean.

As with most hotels in Germany, it doesn’t have air conditioning. Normally not a problem, but on a hot day sleeping can be difficult and the restaurant was uncomfortable.

It was a wonderful stay. The staff was absolutely outstanding: quick, kind, ready to answer any question one might have. The room was big and the bed comfortable - if only, a little too soft, but it is matter of personal preference. I wish to recommend the restaurant: the service and food make you feel royalty.

The room was spacious, quiet and big, yet some of the furniture is quite old and worn out, for a four star hotel.

Lovely place close to the railway station, just 5 min to walk. Easy to find and quiet hotel. My single room was really with a single bed and the room was divided into two parts, one with the bed and another with a sofa, generating a very comfortable room.

I travel a lot and this hotel was one I have nothing to criticise over many years.

We specifically booked this hotel because of the spa facilities. But the hotel told us literally when we were already traveling to it, that the spa was in renovation. We are sure that WITH a functioning spa the hotel is good value for money and very nice however we would noty have booked it for the price had we known the spa was not open. Another less important issue - we found the mattresses on the bed a bit to soft, although otherwise bvery comfy.

The facilities, the excellent in-house restaurant, the location, the old hotel feel.

Breakfast could have been a bit richer. But it was only perfectly adequate. By contrast, the in-house restaurant must be one of the best in Göttingen which sets the expectations higher for the breakfast offerings.

Excellent Location, Nice Indian Cafe/ Dhaba in front of Hotel where one can enjoy indian food. I stayed in June when temperature was 38 deg C very hot in Germany. No AC in the room. Breakfast varieties are very limited. Rest Hotel is good reception helped me to arrange taxi for Osterode. Good Experience. Will stay again , if ever be in Goettingen.

it is newly renovated, old style but very neat clean everything works perfectly well. bathroom was perfectly clean. also the staff were all very friendly and super helpful! the breakfast was really good, just need to work more on their bakery selection.

the beds were very thin, not very comfortable. i loved the hotel, just i think they need to change the room design to more comfortable furniture next time.

A historical hotel with aesthetical interior decos in a classic style. I really enjoyed the style and the room was much larger than I expected. Also I would like to give 10/10 for the service and food.

Facilities are renovated but of course cannot reach the level same as a new hotel for the same price. I personally do not mind considering the history and atmosphere

Superb food and the staff! Everyone was very lovely, hospitable and just genuinely nice. Our room was spacious and beautiful with a comfortable bed.

bathroom lighting would be nice to be less white/bright but also have a warm option. Many standard TV channels did not work.
