Having a room overlooking platform 12, I was expecting to hear train announcements all night, which was not the case. But the station still has many other loud noises. With a closed window it should be ok. For me the bed was too hard, but for my room mate it was fine.

The location can't be beat for convenience to rail or transit, and we were very impressed by the effectiveness of the sound proofing compared to opening the window, in our room overlooking busy railroad tracks not far below. The room was simple, but clean and modern. Having a fridge and the use of an elevator were big plusses too. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I'm allergic to feather pillows, which isn't the hotel's fault, but i often find places that have them have others available in room too. I slept on a rolled up shirt. Not a major criticism, though.

Location is just brilliant when you're travelling by ICE: Just go to Altona instead of Hbf and you're there already. The Elbe and several areas with great bars / restaurants are nearby and even Schanzenviertel and St. Pauli are within walking distance (at least if you're European ;).

This might not be your hotel if you are on a longer vacation as the service and equipment is rather basic - but for 2 nights to see the city it's totally sufficient and wonderfully located.

We were there a little early, before the check in time and asked if we could leave our luggage someplace to be stored and the lovely lady in the reception gave us our room already so we could take our luggage straight there. Also the room was modern and clean and there was a complimentary water bottle. Location was exellent next to Altona station where we took a train early next morning.

If i could ask a one thing more, an electric kettle (tea maker) would have been nice in a room.

Almost everything was quite smooth and nice. Very convenient location. The staff was extremely helpful. They provided a very nice side bed for our toddler. The free commuting change with the free ticket is lovely.

Only the entrance doors were a bit problematic. Maybe there is a reason for that but with a stroller or wheelchair, you have to spend a serious effort to open and pass without hitting the door. They can be automatic or wheel-friendly. There should be more mangos available for breakfast :)

It was a cozy room that met all of our expectations. It's literally inside the TRAIN STATION which is why we chose it, it connected us everywhere! The staff were helpful tho we think they double booked our room so when we got there we didnt have one :/ but they figured it out quickly and gave us a different one. It was a great stay. No breakfast at the hotel room since we decided to eat locally at the Fish Market!!!

Location is perfect, the room facing the street was quiet. The parking in the parking garage next to the hotel had kind of funny entrance next to the hotel (and the elevators were not something to remember) but was super cheap (payed 12€ for almost two days of parking).

We got the 2 single beds room although we asked for double room and there was no way to push the beds together.

The room was comfortable, modern, and well lit.

The air-conditioning was not quit adequate and left the room a bit to warm which can be uncomfortable for sleeping. I had to open the window at night to cool the room down. This concerned me as the railroad station is right outside the window and I feared the noise of the trains. It turned out the trains were not too noisy and I was able to sleep well.

We arrived in the room and it smelled perfect. The sheets were comfortable, the room was surprisingly well furnished despite its size. The shower was excellent and nothing really seemed to be missing. The best part was that our train was waiting literally in front of the hotel, making this hotel the best location for an early trip or a late arrival.

The only thing that prevented this night of being perfect was strangely the pillows. They were weirdly too soft. Whatever filled them felt heavy but strangely, putting one's head on the pillow and everything would get out of the way, making one's head without real support. My girlfriend had to fold it in half to get something usable. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

The breakfast was very good. With respect to area safety the hotel forms part of the railway station and is an area I know well. It behoves the traveller to exercise normal precaution in the area which is well policed, well lit and adjacent to the railway platforms. Despite its location the rooms are well insulated from outside noise.

The hotel is popular so advance reservations are a must.
