Ambient was romantic and quietful. It was so nice to have a covered patio for the night with candles and a beatiful view on the sky...(so many stars in the cosmo!!). A quick walk to see the White Castle and the Church that were illuminated and then a shot of good Grappa before to sleep. Great!!

Nice and confy room, and clean

The staff answering the phone did not speak English. Likely at some point a lady who is speaking English called us explaining everything

I slept like a baby. Nice bed, nice shower, and in a totally peacefull place. The restaurant beside is awesome!

Everything. It is intimate, beautiful, rustic, comfortable room, huge terrace, welcoming hosts, fabulous breakfast. We will definitely return whenever we pass through Germany

The shower is old and the water gets out of it easily, so we were walking in water.

Location is quite good, a lttle off of from highway. A very little nice town next to Nurnberg. Breakfast was charming, very basic but we liked it. Atmosphere were nice and items served ok. Warm buns ! Room is good size for family and with own entrance. Entry with keys got from key safe with pin code.

I read other quests warning about check in problems and it is really the weakest point. We arrived just before sun went down. Nobody was there and everything were dark. Called to phone number in reservation confirmation no ansver. We got connection via whatsapp from different number. After 30min we got pin code but it was not correct, again waiting and new code which works. Room was not prepared for us, we booked for 4 person but rooms was prepared for 2. No extra bed linen stored. Again waiting and got after 30min code for another room from where we borrowed bed linen. This was absolutely not worth it. Just choose dfferent accomodomation if you want hassle free overnight. Last but not least humidity in room were very high. No aircon, no ventilation, not even from bathroom. Only way is to open windows. Backyard were completely dark must have own light if need to go outside. Beds and pillows have seen their better life already sometime ago, It feels like there is noody who cares about whole process. Whole place have a lot of potential but it certaily requires a lot of work too.

The hotel is convenient starting point for strolls around Heroldsberg. We appreciated the free parking.

When we arrived, no one was at the reception area. We called to check in and we were told the door was unlocked. It wasn't. Then we were told where to find a hidden key to let ourselves into the room. Later, we weren't able to reach any staff member by phone. We did not see a staff member the entire time we were there.

Nobody at the reception, and except of the cleaning staff nobody at the hotel to help, check if all is okay. Once you reach the hotel - you have to dial a call center - who tells you ( in very unfriendly, barely audible language) where your key is. I have stayed many time at this place when it was run by an independent owner - those days were good. Since the change of owner - the place is overpriced for factually no service .
