The hotel is reasonable close to the highway and for that reason perfect for a one night sleepover. Near the hotel are several restaurants, we ate at an Italian restaurant. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in years in a hotel, but okay, you do pay 12 euro per person for the breakfast (which is included in the total price of the room). The room was nice, clean and the beds were okay, not much else you can ask for.

The hotel is literally part of a gas-station. We first drove past it, not realizing that we actually have to be at the gas-station to enter the hotel. The name of the hotel makes more sense to us now :) We had the three-person bedroom which turns out to be the room with the (only) window straight at the cars that come to the gas-station. With the window closed you only hear the noise of cars coming and going slightly in the background. However, if you want to sleep with an open window, prepare to hear the noise of cars getting gas all night long (of course, not that many during the night, but some do). If you expect to have a nice view outside your window, forget it :)

A friend an I stayed for 2 nights, while on a hiking trip. (Hiked during the day, slept in Heroldsberg.) Tankbar's Hotelchen is located on the main road and is easy to find. The room was very clean, new and well equipped. Beds were made every morning and coffee and water were provided in the room. Although it is located at a gas-station, shutters made sure the room was very quiet at night (Some extremely loud cars came through, but that's the fault of overly loud cars, not the room isolation). Breakfast was wonderful. The pictures on google maps display it exactly as it is, with fresh bread, croissants and orange juice. There was always plenty. The staff was very kind and uncomplicated (It's a family business) and the neighborhood was quiet. Heroldsberg has several very nice Restaurants as well, all within 5-10 minutes on foot and the train-station is only a five minute walk away. Since it is a gas-station, any necessities can be bought on location. All in all a very pleasant few days. If I ever go back to Nürnberg, I will be staying there again.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the family that runs it. The lady is an Oma through and through. She was spoiling my daughter every chance she got. They were adorable moments. This will be my first choice every time we need to stay in Nuremberg. Also, if you need a rise to the airport, let them schedule it for you. Even with my discount on booking the fare was less than half what it would have been if I booked it.

Super quiet room with super comfy beds. I liked the spacious, modern, cosy room. Very kind and helpful staff. There are just 3 rooms so very homey. Thanks a million for the possibility of late, contactless check-in! Given it's a petrol-station, we could immediately fill up the tank and continue our journey.

Staff could check requirements for breakfast first. Breakfast was ready made and excellent, but if you travel with kids, there is a big chance good food will go to waste.... and they are whining for egg, bacon and nutella :-D btw we asked for and got tasty eggs.

Friendly receptionist, even got a welcoming drink after a really long day driving. The room was superb, equipped with everything one can imagine, dark and silent during the night- really fantastic to sleep. Great bathroom! Extremely clean!

We were disappointed with the parking. Since we had to leave our car at the site of the tank- station, kept wondering whether someone won't bump against it occasionally..

Simply loved the place, the room was really high standards. The fact that in less then 10m there was the gas station where you could have get fresh coffee and snacks was brilliant. Many shops around the place. GREAT! AMAZING!

Comfortable place to stay on your way, location close to autobahn is an advantage. The Hotelchen has everything one might need in the room, very clean and with attractive design. The bar offers snacks but hot sandwich fully satisfies your needs. The staff is helpful and polite, great stay, thank you!

Everything is fine

The best place to overnight or even stay several days near Nuremberg. Superior quality of service, accommodation and breakfast. Most important is the staff, extremely kind and helpful and eager to assist even in problematic situations. Brigitte and Mike, DANKE!

Very big room with an extra bed. Rooms on the ground floor and parking facilities right next to the door. The rooms are next to a gas station so easy to get some drinks or a snack.

The booking.com site said there was a charging facility. But this turned out to be a normal AC outlet.

Special thanks to Aura who went over and beyond, she looked after us in such way, i never had such perfect service anywhere else. The breakfast was amazing.

Not sure about the location We just needed something close to the motorway and didn't have time to look around but literally was everything perfect.
