We had a pleasant stay at the Niu Mill, the bed was very comfortable and everything was super clean. The front desk staff were always nice and helped us store our bags before checking in and after checking out. We also loved their eco friendly approach to the daily cleanings where they gave you a drink coupon instead if you skipped the daily cleaning. We were going to a conference at the Cologne Fair so this was a convenient location to that and to the city.

It would be nice if the rooms had a mini fridge, that seems like it should be in every hotel room. We also found the room very small for two people for an extended time but that's just our preference. Also found the wall art of the giant grasshopper not very relaxing.

The Hotel is well connected to the city center and any other places of interest via a transportation hub located very close by at Wiener Platz. And also the neighborhood is very lively, packed with good places to eat lebanese/turkish style food, have a coffee and some quality filo pastry. The room was very clean, spacious enough for a couple for a couple of day or more, and the layout is very well thought out, with some shelf space, lots of power outlets and very comfortable bed. The bathroom was great and very clean, and also had good lighting for a close morning shave. I loved the build in the furniture quality Bluetooth speaker, it was a blast to listen to the music I like without headphones and fear of disturbing the neighbours, since the room was superbly sound insulated. Me and my partner will definitely check in the Niu Mill again, each time we visit Köln.

I liked a lot the concept of a free drink for not using the room cleaning service on that day! As a lone travaler most of times I don't even need it everyday. Also I liked that I had acces to a bluetooth speaker even if I didn't used it, it is nice to have one and it is a plus. Also the hairdryer very nice!

I didn't knew there is a parking fee for using the hotel's parking! I don't recall being told this so it was quite a surprise! Altough i don't know how it is calculated it seemed an ok price, so if I missed it somewhere sorry my bad, but if I didn't maybe it should be annouced somewhere!

We liked the soundproofed windows. It was quiet during the night. You won’t really hear the noise outside even though our room was facing the main street. However, you could still hear some muffled sounds from the nearby rooms but it was okay. They have private parking with a reasonable price and safer than cheap and public parking in the vicinity. The bar was stocked with beer and cocktails so it was nice to chill there after a long day of walking around in the city. Another thing is the train station is just five minutes walk from the hotel. The area isn’t the best part of Köln but they have some bakeries that offers good bread and lunch options.

A kettle would’ve been nice so we could have some tea in the room. They didn’t provide any room slippers and robes as well. Any of these additions would definitely be great for the overall experience in the hotel.

Wonderfully-decorated, comfortable, quiet room and cosy bed. Great shower. Really friendly staff. A free drink if you don't have your room cleaned. Reasonably handy for the city centre - 20 minutes or so with a tram station nearly opposite, so consider daily travel costs when you book. Laundrette close by. Fantastic place.

The area around the tram stop is a dump and can feel quite intimidating at night, although you get used to it! The light switches didn't quite match up in my room (so turning the lights off from the bed didn't affect the light by the door) - but that's a minor niggle.

Hotel was really clean, staff was very polite and the internet was great. Beds were comfortable and they had an option to have a free drink if you skip a day of cleaning (from a different card though)

There was no wardrobe in the room (being there 5 nights for a business trip was needed). And another thing to take into account - there is a tax of 5% on top of the Booking price...I wish I'd known in advance, but I would probably still booked the same hotel anyway.

- The hotel has a modern and comfortable furniture. - The pillows in the room were awesome, the bathroom was spacious and clean. - The coffee at the lobby was super nice too. - The location was good too, it was just couple of stations away from the center and Lanxess Arena. (it is not a central location, but the nearest station is 100m away and the main trams and subway can be caught from there)

Friendly staff, and great location! Although not in the historic part of the city, it was around the corner from a Tram station, and lots of restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly, and we had fun with the super-sized games in the lounge. The room was well equipped with a safe, a good shower and was quiet. Temperature controls worked and there were even some English language television channels (mostly news).

Value for money, there was nothing to complain about.

The room is pretty good, everything is clean and comfy. Breakfast is the same every day but you have a variety to choose from like eggs, meat, cheese, cereal, muesli, different types of milk, tee, coffee, juices. The location is good, public transport is like a couple of minutes away.

There was only one set of towels for one person when we arrived, so we had to resolve this which was quick and no problem anyway. The other thing is the lack of ability to watch Netflix on the TV :)

It's a modern hotel, super clean and comfortable. Easy check it and out. Very good for the price. I recommend and I would stay here again.

Location is not the best but it's very close to a nearby subway so you be in the city in less than 30 min. Rooms are little bit small, but normal for this kind of hotel. Totally fine. One personal for me is the bed, it's not a big bed for a couple but instead two beds close together so you sleep with this "hole" between the couple. But besides that two comfortable beds :-)
