Attentive informed bar and reception staff, great breakfast but 25Euro, fantastic swimming pool, city views, opening windows, comfortable bed, attractive room rate especially after high rates in Berlin. Easy walk to main train station and old city. Leipzig city centre a great mix of key old buildings such as the churches where Bach was kapelmeister, city hall, Auerbachs cellar arcade plus modern buildings. The apartment where Mendelssohn lived in the 1840s is now a nice museum for music lovers and is close to the Gewandhaus that replaced the earlier concert building.

Rooms are only just large enough for people travelling with luggage, no facility to make tea or coffee in room snd the bottle of water in the room was charged at 4.50E. Decor and bathroom adequate but dated.

Good modern hotel in general, great service, parking on site (EUR 25 but it's ok).

A little bit colder in the room than I expected and you cannot make it warmer. Also the bed is not comfortable, "king-size" = 2 small beds together. Breakfast is so-so.

Pool, location, breakfast

Charge to use pool, no porter. Beds were ok but not great. Also too close together for two people wanting separate beds. Seems a persistent problem in Germany hotels.

We asked for, and received, a high room with a great view across Leipzig. The room was large and comfortable, with a very nice bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, although not cheap. We picked the hotel as we wanted somewhere close to the railway station but nice, and were pleased. Walking into the City Centre took only a few minutes.

Charging for use of the swimming pool and spa area when the room was already quite pricey seemed a bit mean. The pool and facilities are very nice, though.

Friendly, professional staff, good location and nice view. Bed was comfortable, plenty of closet space and an in-room safe. 5 min walk to the Brühl mall, and 10 to the market, and also 5 away from the train station.

Only gave me one blanket, which was too small for both me and the bed. Had to ask for another. I also forgot my room card when visiting the gym and they charged 1/5 of what I spent for a night. Absurd and ridiculous fee. The gym is also just 6 cardio machines, one sad "does everything" machine (pulldowns, 'bench press' etc) that doesn't even measure the weight being used, and a couple dumbells. Literally it's just enough so they can say they have a fitness area and be eligible for the extra star, without actually having a suitable facility. The room's floor was covered in dust that the cleaners seemed to always miss and I'm not sure where it came from. Also killed 2 ants on my last night there. Also, the shower seemed to leak a lot no matter what.

A great location, within easy walking distance of the city centre and all amenities. The breakfast was excellent with a vast choice of food and good service. The room was quite large with a very comfortable double bed. The en suite had a bath with a shower attachment.

There was no kettle in the room, which was disappointing, especially on waking in the morning. The breakfast was excellent in every respect, but the additional price might well discourage some guests from opting for it. It would be much better to be included in the overall price. The swimming pool was very large, with an adjoining sauna and fitness centre. However, the water was not very warm at all, which could discourage some people from using the pool.

The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The lobby was spacious, modern as well as peaceful and we had a lovely guest service associate that performed the check in for us. The hygiene in general was excellent.

We were charged for the spa/ pool although we did not assist. We checked in 30 minutes before the spa/pool closed and were not even in the area.

The food in the restaurant was good. It is close to everything I wanted to do and see. The hotel let me keep my suitcase past the checkout time so I didn't have to lug it all over town with me that day. Breakfast was quite good, and supper was delicious. All staff members were courteous and helpful.

The handle to pull yourself up when you are sitting in the bathtub was broken. When I pulled on it, one end of it detached from the wall. It was easy enough to get out of the tub without it though, and I wasn't in any danger from it.

The staff is very accommodating and helpful. They promptly brought an extra blanket when requested. Staff at breakfast very pleasant, too. Suite and balcony very clean and spacious. Location is great, a short walk to the Opera and museums from Hotel. Overall lovely experience!

Kettle or coffee machine in room would be a nice extra.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was wonderful. Breakfast buffet was excellent! The service responded very quickly to our requests. Very attentive.

Only thing missing was an espresso machine or electric kettle in our suite.
