We had a 2 night stay as part of a road trip from the UK to Croatia…. we were given an apartment on the top floor which had 2 large rooms, a balcony, a shower room and separate bathroom - so plenty of space for us all :) Having an indoor pool was a real bonus after a long drive The location is up a hill so if you walk you are breathing well by the top, but Triberg it’s self is a lovely place to visit - waterfalls are beautiful, plenty of places to eat and drink, picturesque town to stroll around The staff were really friendly and looked after us well. We ate dinner in the hotel and the choice was good as was the quality… loved the vinyl record collection displayed on the wall too :)

Lovely setting, great restaurant, friendly staff and nice big rooms but the slope of the ceiling in the suite we had means you have to be very careful getting out of bed!

Although we booked for 3 people and had a 2 room suite, each room was set up for only 1 person. We managed to get another pillow but the slope of the ceiling meant that we had to be very careful when getting in and out of bed in the one we used as a double. Perhaps a layout change could have made the suite a bit more comfortable as the main bedroom was more than big enough? Such a shame because otherwise it was a lovely hotel with great food and lovely staff.

Fantastic hotel with a wonderful balcony view. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped with the basics. Lots of cute personal touches like the pretty driveway with a combination of BW Plus standards. Waterfall is just down the bottom of the hill and you can hear it flow and see the steam rising from it through the trees from your balcony. if you’re staying in this town 100% book this hotel!

I was travelling by rail so it was a very steep and long hill to go up with your luggage (no buses go up here) - but if wasn’t at the top you wouldn’t get the views so not really anything to do with the hotel.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! You are 7 minutes walking from the centre of Triberg and the views over the valley are beautiful. We booked an apartment and it exceeded our expectations, the spaces are big, everything is super clean and it looks like new. We even had both a shower and a bathtub! It was great to have the kids sleep in their own room :). The balcony overlooking the hills was the cherry on the cake. The breakfast was delicious, great variety and everything really fresh and local. The staff was very nice and kids friendly. Our kids loved the pool, really nice add on to an already amazing place. We are already booking our next holiday in this hotel! 😀

Room: Incredibly spacious with a balcony overlooking the valley. The style is dated and you can see there were minor upgrades, the hotel probably saw better days in the past but honestly the space and the balcony were great. They also had a kettle, which is these days worth writing about. The room did get quite warm, could be stifling in summer as I did not see any air conditioning but perfect for cooler days. Staff: The reception and the breakfast staff were really nice and friendly, explained everything to us. Parking: Ample parking in front of the hotel and on the sides. Garage is available for 5 Euros Breakfast: It was really one of the best breakfasts we had in our road trip across Switzerland and Germany. The croissants were flaky, jam fresh, cheese perfect. We really enjoyed it and it was not expensive at only 10 Euros. Elevator was available for our rooms, for some rooms, you still needed to walk a short flight of stairs - we requested one that had direct access as my folks have mobility issues. Pool and Sauna were open but we did not use it. They also give you a guest card with free public transport access and other local attractions.

The beds were not the most comfortable but we're used to memory foam and people who like harder beds will be absolutely fine.

The room was big and with a beautiful view to the mountains. The staff was really helpful and resolved small problems very fast. The breakfast was very good and with a lot of variety. They even had gluten free products.

The Balcony was not clean, it was ok, beaus was winter and cold outside, so we did not used it, but even if you just went outside for a bit, you would habe been bringing with you the dirt inside. Unfortunately due savings the swimming pool was closed.

It felt cosy, in the middle of forest. Big room, big bed, comfortable, parking place and good breakfast

No air-conditioning. And a hot day it's a bit rough. I guess it's only a problem July and August depending on the weather. The second thing it's located à bit high from the main road down hill so better to be in good shape. Third, There is a parking lot you enter with room card as much as you want, but some parking spots are very hard with a big car.

hotel room with a view. Every room has a superdeluxe balcony. loved to sit there in the evenings. i was in triberg to tour on my motorcycle. very nice roads lots of good curves. this hotel is superdeluxe.. had a water cooker and tea and coffee in the room. everything was very clean. nice people. breakfast was very good. lots to choose from.

No fridge in my room. i always miss this item in all hotels ,as i tour on my bike to cewl some cans of coke or beer. I rather loose the tv and have a fridge 😁😎 However this is not a complaint!! western hotel is great. but its still a hint *evil*grin*

The view was absolutely amazing! It was nice having an elevator and parking on site. The saunas are lovely. Loved that the hotel issued the Triberg pass so we could see the attractions at no additional cost. Beds and rooms were clean an comfortable). Playground for kiddos next to restaurant is awesome and convenient. Restaurant waiter (gentleman from Hungary) super nice!!!! The breakfast was good, especially the scrambled eggs.

The indoor pool was freezing cold (too cold, even the kids didn't want to go in day two-- that never happens!) and there are no towels in the pool area for guest use. You either need to bring your own, request some before you head to the pool area, or use your shower towels. Easy fix is having towels for guest use down there OR having a robe in the rooms. The quality of the food (dinner) at the restaurant was mediocre and extremely expensive for what it was (and for Germany). Sadly, you cannot dine outside with the lovely view! Drinks only. A pity because the view is amazing.

Breakfast was good, location of the hotel is good for car traveling in Triberg and the Black Forest. Rooms are little bit old, but quiet and nice.

For some reason, the hotel asks you to fill in a form for what you would like to have for breakfast the next day. Then the food is already on the table when you arrive at the morning. For whatever reason this method was adapted, it is very cumbersome and also hinder the food freshness. Also, in every floor, half of the rooms are at the same elevator level while the other half are half a story above, making life with suitcases and kids or elderly much harder. The hotel doesn't offer assistance.
