In the heart of Triberg and the Black Forest this hotel is a gem! I stayed with my family (kids age 13 and 11) in the family room and we all loved it. The room had plenty of space for all 4 of us with each child having their own bed. Situated above a bakery, the breakfast included each morning was delicious. Location is great and easily walkable to everything the town has to offer, including a very short walk to the falls. If you have a car parking is convenient at the paid lot they help arrange for you around the corner. I highly recommend this hotel, and my kids say its the best hotel they have stayed at!

Only one minor thing to note - hotel is on a main road so at night if you have the window open you can hear occasional road noise. You dont hear this with the window closed though, so not a major issue.

We arrived about an hour after the front desk closed and used a simple after hours check in. Hotel was nice in central small business area. Easy walking distance to the Triberg Falls. Parking is not the most convenient but managed to park in 30 minute spot around the corner to unloading and loading luggage. Very nice and large rooms but no elevator and of course we were on the third/top floor. Number of good restaurants close by. Breakfast was good and hearty in the European continental style. We ended up not using the hotels parking but found easy and inexpensive parking close by. Room was nice and had a small sitting area.

The room had more modern amenities than we expected and was very cozy. The location was great, with a nice view of trees and hills from the window, we were a short walk from the Triberg falls. The breakfast was also good and in a nice dining room. It was buffet style where you serve yourself, but with a set and reserved table for your room.

No elevator (that I saw), not a big deal, but if you have heavy bags expect to carry them up some stairs. No clear directions on parking (none included directly with the hotel), I think there was a cheaper option for parking that could be arranged with the hotel, but that wasn't made clear to us in advance so we paid more for parking elsewhere.

There is very good breakfast included in the price as well as a local transport card and tickets to 4 of the main attractions in the town (waterfall and some museums). Room was amazing! Really big, had a tv, kettle, tea and coffee, toiletries. Even a desk and coffee table with chairs. The bedsheets were the softest I have ever had! There is a café downstairs which had various cakes and also a vending machine with wines, beers,, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks at very good prices. Location was perfect and right across from an amazing restaurant. I didn't want to leave this place. Highly recommend.

The hotel was welcoming of my dog (large breed). The family room was very spacious and very clean. Bathroom and bedroom were modern and had all we needed. Breakfast was good. The location is on the main street, just a short walk away from the waterfalls. There was the possibility of covered parking on the side street.

The only thing I didn't like was that I had to open the window to the main street to get fresh air at night, because it had been a very hot day. So it was noisy while there were still cars circulating under our window. But it calmed down later in the night.

Big room! Well updated to give the comforts of a modern hotel. Breakfast was good and the coffee was excellent! The cakes and pastries sold at the cafe was well worth the visit on it's own. But take note of the days in the week the cafe is open. It will depend on the season. They properly arranged for our late check-in and they have a paid parking area just around the block. Location is walking distance to most of the attractions in the main town. If you open the window in our room, you could hear the water flowing from the nearby brook (coming from the waterfall) but if you fully close the window, it also properly blocks out the outside sounds if you want a quiet room.

No elevator so plan how much luggage you plan to bring up to the room. Wasn't much variety to the breakfast so if you are staying multiple days....

Very convenient location, and the hotel was very clean and nicely appointed. Staff in the hotel and the cafe were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable, and we appreciated the fan that was left in the room. We had the Black Forest Cake in the Cafe, and it was outstanding.

It took three tries to check in because the front door was locked - it appears the woman who checked us in does EVERYTHING (reception, maid service, etc), but she was very nice when we finally found her. Unfortunately, we were in the throes of an extreme heat wave, and although there was a fan in our room, it was very hot and difficult to sleep (not the hotel's fault, of course). When we checked out at 0900, I forgot we needed to bring the parking pass back, and we were unable to get back in as the front door was once again locked. I didn't notice a post box or anyplace I could leave the pass. I mailed the pass back on our return home. OveralI, I would recommend Hotel Cafe Adler to anyone visiting Triberg.

The personnel were very friendly. Our check-in time was supposed to be at 15:00, but since we arrived a couple of hours early we were very thankful to find out that our room was already prepared for us, especially since we had been travelling for around 6 hours straight. The breakfast buffet was also amazing! I would come here again when I visit Triberg the next time.

The bed was quite spacious, but we would have preferred it if the mattress was not so hard. Also the kettle in the room was not quite clean, probably the previous guests had boiled milk in it since it was burned at the bottom.

The hotel exceeded our expectations! We booked this as a last minute detour and were not expecting much. But the hotel was nicely furnished (I think refurbished), water pressure was strong for the shower, and the room was big, clean and nice. The staff were also very helpful, assisting us to call the taxi service and they were also friendly.

1. The hotel was a 25 min mostly uphill walk with trolley luggage (I had a big one), but this can be solved by taking the bus or calling for a taxi in advance (10 euros, 5 min). We didn’t on the way in as it was a last minute trip, but on our way out we took the taxi and it was such a breeze. 2. No elevator, but the staff were kind enough to help us with luggage when we check in.

Room was a good size. Everything worked as it should. Room was clean and well presented on arrival. Breakfast was a pretty good spread of fresh bread, meat, cheese and hot eggs, along with yoghurt and cake.

Nothing fancy about the hotel - in fact, it's not really a hotel, but some rooms above a cafe. That is fine though, as long as that is what you are expecting. Our room was only partially serviced on some days. Again, not really a big deal, but slightly annoying not having tea/coffe/milk for the next morning.
