We booked this last minute not really sure what to expect, but WOW did it exceed our expectations. Exceptional, renovated room, delicious restaurant and breakfast, in the most serene and peaceful location. The staff were friendly and so easy to communicate with as well, we really felt like we were treated like royalty. We could’ve stayed for a week or more!

No A/C but they had a fan and it wasn’t a big problem. :)

Rooms were spacious with a good sized bathroom, great views over the forest. Breakfast was expansive to say the least, with hot food (bacon and eggs) if required but honestly, the quality and quantity of food available was a little daunting at times. We had some evening meals in the hotel and these too were absolutely delicious - all credit to the chef and their team. Ingredients were superb quality and can heartily recommend the veal and pork dishes.

Nothing! The hotel is a little off the beaten track and quite a way out of Triberg but absolutely worth the journey.

The location was enchanting and romantic, the staff friendly, kind,and helpful.the room was lovely and spacious, the restaurant was delicious and very fairly pretty priced. I feel this property understands the value of service and quality and has met a good standard at a fair price. I will return if it remains this way

I could not book another night

It is peaceful and the scenery is beautiful. The breakfast and dinner are fantastic. There is a public bus servicing the area and the bus stop is near by. However I find it more convenient with a rented car. It is a good place to relax if one wanted to get out of the bustling city. The room is clean and with plenty of hot water for bathing. It is cold but the rooms have sufficient heater to warm up the room including the toilet.

i would prefer to have a kettle in the room so that we can make hot drinks given that the weather was cold. in addition, there were no facilities or amenities near this guest house.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location not too close to town and not too far away. Outstanding restaurant. peaceful, serene and quiet location.

It was a bit hot. No air conditioning or fans in the room. With the world getting hotter, with Bavaria getting hotter, I suggest ceiling fans be installed in every room.

Our room was calm clean and characterful. We liked having a sofa and sitting area. The bathroom was new, well-lit and spacious. We had one evening meal during our stay and it was a hearty serving of home-made food. The breakfast chef greeted us cheerily and cooked eggs and bacon or a boiled egg in addition to the full buffet. The guesthouse is located in a tranquil setting around 15 minutes drive from Triberg.

Fantastic stay at Gasthaus Staude. Sebastian was a delightful and helpful with our Black Forest plans. Location was peaceful and easy to get to Triberg. Food was exceptional and likely the best we ate in Germany. Room was perfect for our family of four (kids 6&8). Would absolutely recommend.

The sauna is excellent. Staff are all excellent, from the manager, chef, waitress and waiters to cleaning lady; helpful and polite.

Bathroom is a bit too old, yet clean. Am sure they are waiting to be refurbished soon as some rooms were already refurbished.

Loved the location, clean rooms, good breakfast & friendly welcoming staff

When we stayed it was 35 degrees, the room was very warm & had no air con. We couldn’t leave the windows open as there were quite a lot of mosquitoes & people sat under our window chatting.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of foods. The restaurant was very clean and lovely! The chef and restaurant staff were very welcoming and friendly.

We have no complaints.
