We stayed here to do some sightseeing in Athens and the location was beyond perfect. We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to visit, including the Acropolis from the hotel which was excellent. We found the staff all extremely friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcome. The room was a nice size for the size of the hotel and it was very clean. Even breakfast was pretty good for a 3 star, basic but good nonetheless. Very close to some decent restaurants, bars & the local supermarket. An all round pleasant stay.

The only complaint we had was we could hear everything going on in the hallways etc. This is no fault of the hotel we may have just had some noisy neighbours!

Fantastic location. Walking distance to all the city highlights, including Plaka, Syntagma Square, Monastiraki Flea Market and the Acropolis. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Fabulous rooftop terrace with amazing views. Our room had a kettle and a couple of mugs, however no tea or coffee supplied. Room also had a safe, which gave us extra piece of mind. Room and bathroom was very clean. Room also had a great air conditioner.

Would have liked coffee and tea supplies to use with kettle and mug but easy enough to supply your own.

The staff was very kind and helpful with any questions we had. The location of Athos Hotel is perfect for exploring Athens on foot. It is very central to the Acropolis, Plaka and Monastiraki Square! The facility was very clean. This is an incredible value if you are looking for a safe and simple hotel option. I would highly recommend Athos Hotel!

Athos Hotel was wonderful. We really do not have any complaints regarding our stay! Athos Hotel is safe, simple and an affordable option right in the center of all things Athens!

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing as too much for the ladies who ran the front desk - providing us with a map and directions to find places of interest in the city, lent us European plug adapters for our phones and even ordered us a taxi to the airport for the next morning. Breakfast was a surprise as usually one would only expect a continental breakfast. However, it included eggs, ham, and other hot dishes as well. We received an upgrade to stay in their balcony/terrace room on the top floor with excellent views of the acropolis, making our stay extra special. We would definitely recommend and stay again to explore Athens at this lovely hotel.

Absolutely nothing

The location, cleanliness, courtesy of the staff. Excellent value for money, comfortable enough, plenty of hot water, refurbished bathroom. Completely suitable for short stay. One should be objective not pretentious while valuing the property. You are not at Ritz - don’t forget. The girls at the reception were so nice and kind!

It is not at all sound proof - could hear all the noises. The guests should be educated:))

It was the perfect spot to get around the Center of Athens. Couldn’t get any better.

I thought it was a little cheap of the hotel that the staff asked for a euro for the water bottle that was in the mini fridge. It’s not about the money obviously, it’s just that they actually asked for a euro for a bottle of water that should have been and was assumed that was included.

The hotel is convenient to all the major “must sees” in Athens. You can to everything, it is all easily connected. Restaurants galore. I had a great view of the Acropolis from my balcony and even better from the rooftop patio. Everyone there is very friendly

The bed is hard. The pillows are old foam rubber - they need new pillows

Location was great and close to all of the archaelogical sites and restaurants. Rooftop had great view of the Acropolis. Towels and toiletries were provided. Lady at the front desk was very sweet. The hotel has a tiny elevator for luggage.

The bathroom was modern but tiny; one person could barely navigate it. The shower (like most in Greece) put a lot of water on the bathroom floor making it slippery. My husband actually slid painfully into the sharp corner of the sink. Bed wasn't very soft if that's what you're looking for.

The location is amazing! We did everything on foot. The hotel is very close to most of the attractions. It also has a terrace with a view to the acropolis, which was amazing because we bought beers and drank enjoying the view at night. The staff is very friendly.

The room is REALLY small. For us it wasn't a problems because we didn't have big bags, otherwise it would be uncomfortable. The pillows could be newer and the bed was a little hard. Breakfast didn't have many options. It would be nice to have fresh fruits, scrambled eggs and a toaster. Otherwise i recommend a breakfast in another traditional restaurant in Plaka ou Monastiraki. All in all, it's all about the location.

Athos hotel was situated in a good location not far from the main and cosy restaurants, bars, shopping streets. Not far from Plaka area, by walking we reached Acropolis and a lots of other mast see places. Room was big and very clean. Stuff were kind and helpful. In reality it says 3 stars hotel but in other countries 4 star hotels even not so good.

For us all was good.
