We only wanted a nice clean room to stay for one night in transit and Galatia Villas more than met our expectations. The communication was smooth and the arrangement for our late check-in (at almost midnight) was efficient and cute! There was a clear instruction and welcoming message for us to easily find our room. Our room was clean and cosy on first floor with lovely sea view. The hotel is in a quiet part of the town but only a short stroll to the town centre and all attractions.

The only downside of this hotel is the stairs down from street level to reception and up to guest rooms, which should not be any problems for most guests. For this particular visit, I had a small accident before coming to Santorini and found it a bit of a challenge to carry my luggage up and down. Luckily, the gentleman at the reception helped me with the luggage when we left - thank you!

Exactly like in the pictures. Dated and very clean. There were horrible noises from patrons directly above me making me scared but at my request, my room was changed instantaneously. Thanks to the housemaids and the Manager.

Dont really like the steep slope leading to the hotel due to my bad knees.

the bed was comfortable and not as small as we expected, the little balcony was nice, the fridge was appreciated and the staff were very nice, both the receptionist and the cleaning lady who not just cleaned our room and changed our towels but also unexpectedly took the time to pick up our stuff that was messy and pretty much everywhere and stored it and organised it nicely, we didn’t expect it but are very grateful, it made packing up for leaving much easier and faster. there’s not only a nice pool but also a jacuzzi from where you can see the sea (not the caldera side, the island is surprisingly small) and some cute houses. it’s clearly not in the centre and doesn’t have caldera view but it’s very convenient anyway as the bus stop is. I think 15min away, the centre maybe a 10min walk and the area feels safe. there’s a mini market like 3min from it with a very nice old lady and delicious baklava and kataifi (also yoghurts and other products like that are a bit cheaper than closer to the centre, but there aren’t many things). the day we checked-out they stored our luggage there and let us take a shower when we came back from a tour we took (we booked it directly through the hotel, it was very easy and we enjoyed it).

the bathroom is very small and the shower even smaller, the water pressure is fine but the hair dryer is very weak.

The staff were really friendly and the room was really clean.

There is building works going on, the whole upper floor is a shell and is being renovated so if you wanted a rest during the day it was very noisy.. But we were out and about so it wasnt an issue.

Katie was amazing and very accommodating! She made the experience 100 x better and was very helpful with our checkout process and general stay. The location was great as it was a quiet area but only 10 minutes walk to the city center where you can catch the bus and strip of restaurants and views of Fira. I would also recommend visiting the Irene souvenir shop (it's on your way to the city centre) for affordable items in Fira as the city centre is almost double the price.

The bathroom was really small and quite uncomfortable to shower, especially with the curtains touching the body. I would recommend removing the shower curtain and transforming the bathroom to an open shower room.

Location is perfect for exploring the city on foot, lovely room and balcony. Close to the bus station.

Internet connection is a shame, I had to use my mobile data during the stay.

The bed was very comfortable, the shower was spacious and had good water pressure. There was a pool and hot tub which were nice and good working AC. I liked having a hot water kettle, mini fridge, and hair dryer, and the maid and main desk personnel were very nice. There was a nice small table with 2 chairs outside our room. They provide shuttle service if you coordinate with them ahead of time. They are able to accommodate check-ins past the official time of 9pm but there would be an extra charge after midnight. The airport to hotel shuttle costs 25 euro for 1-2 people, and the shuttle to the Santorini port costs 35 euros for 1-2 people. However, if you're willing to walk 10 minutes to the local bus station, you can get a bus ticket for 2 euro to get to the Santorini port. It was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend Galatia Villas, it was a good starting point for walking to main square and about a 15-20 minute hilly walk to the "top" to see the sunset. There are many connecting alleyways to get back to this hotel. There is a delicious and cheap gyro place nearby with 3.50 euro gyros/kebab pitas.

While Galatia Villas is wonderful overall, the few drawbacks including the room being a little small. There's no scenic view out of the window/patio, it's only facing the parking area and another building where we stayed. The stairs to the hot tub are very steep and you can slip down if you were wet from the tub so it's best to hold onto the railing. The faucet leaked somewhat and the toilet seat was not fully hinged. The shuttle service is pricey.

Great location. Maybe a 10 minute walk into the centre of Thira if that. There are small shops on the walk into the centre which is ideal when wanting to bring water back but not carry things heavy for too long. Rooms are clean and contain everything you could need. Staff are brilliant and can’t help you enough. The pool is lovely and there is a breakfast option which is ideal for people who don’t want to travel or can’t. Fresh towels each day and aircon included in price. Extremely reasonable for Thira!

The hotel uses a company for quad bike hire which are terrible. Our experience was negative as the lights did not work nor did the full breaks meaning it had to be left on flat ground. This is no reflection of the villa as it is not a partnership, just worth mentioning if you are looking to rent a quad bike, go elsewhere. We only rented for 24 hours so it wasn’t a huge issue but regardless not great. The pool is lovely however there are only 4 loungers, the rest are chairs. It is only a small pool and area so this may be why. The villa itself isn’t huge so I can understand this but at times it could be an issue although it wasn’t for us.

everything was great , location was 10 mins from the town. The property was very well kept and the pool was amazing

The bathroom could be a bit better. The shower was very small and the shower curtain didn’t prevent the water from spilling all over the bathroom making it very slippery

The property is located at 15 minutes from the center of Fira. It’s very accessible by walk, cars, taxi and whatever you like. The hostess who hosted us was really nice and she even explain to us what to do in Santorini. The room was clean and very sweet. Just above the room there was a Jacuzzi so it was very good because it was warm and very private but there is also the swimming pool accessible for everyone and more cold if you want to be fresh.

Nothing about the property but we rent ATV and something we weren’t aware of is that there is additional costs, like the insurance and the gasoline which are explained just at the time you say you want to rent one (the ATV for 24h is 85€ only + 15€ of insurance + 10€ gasoline if you just want to go to Oia (if do you want to go far away you would have to put more gasoline)) It’s something to do because it’s really impressive and cool to do !
